It looked like somebody was bent

0:06

over and had their head in the

0:08

window of the deer blind and it

0:11

either heard me or smelt me and he pulled

0:13

his head out of the tent and stood straight

0:15

up and that

0:18

shocked me. They

0:24

don't make people that big. The

0:31

way it moved almost

0:34

as if it was gliding across the beach. I've

0:39

never seen anything move like that in my life.

0:45

They were screaming at each other in gibberish.

0:49

It sounded like a language and they were

0:51

chuntering away back and forwards, back and forwards,

0:53

back and forwards. I

0:57

know what a bear looks like and there is no way

0:59

on this planet that what I saw bears.

1:03

911, what are

1:06

you reporting? Jesus

1:15

Christ, you better turn off

1:17

the deal. Hello? Get

1:20

somebody out here. What's going on now, sir? That son of

1:22

a bitch is about 6'9". I don't know. Is he a

1:24

male, sir? Yes, I'm looking right at him. Uh-oh. Hi,

1:38

this is Jada and you're listening to

1:40

Sasquatch Chronicles. Thanks

1:54

for watching.

2:07

Happy New Year everyone. Thanks

2:09

for being here tonight. We've got a great show

2:11

planned for you, but we'll be chatting

2:13

with Mike. Mike

2:15

comes to us from upstate New York and

2:18

we're going back to 95, 96 timeframe. Him

2:22

and his family had just purchased his

2:24

property up there in the Catskills of

2:26

upstate New York and had

2:28

an exchange student come stay with them.

2:32

A lot of really weird events happened

2:35

through several nights. I

2:37

kind of have Mike go into it. If you've

2:39

had an encounter and you'd like to be on

2:41

the show, shoot me an email. My

2:44

email address is wes

2:46

at sasquatchchronicles.com and

2:48

if you get a chance to

2:50

check out sasquatchchronicles.com, you can

2:52

become a member and get

2:55

additional shows. Just

2:57

jump into it tonight. I want

2:59

to welcome Mike to the show. Mike

3:01

thanks for coming on. Thanks

3:03

for having me Wes, I appreciate it. If

3:06

you would Mike, take me back to 1995, 1996

3:08

timeframe. This

3:12

takes place in upstate New York. Just

3:15

start from the beginning, walk us into the

3:17

sequence of weird events that happened to you

3:19

and your family. Yeah,

3:22

I'd love to. I think part

3:24

of the reason for wanting to reach

3:26

out to you is, I'm sure

3:28

like many people in your audience, the

3:31

more accounts we listen to,

3:33

the more memories

3:35

come back from a time in life

3:38

where things just sort

3:40

of didn't add up and then in

3:42

retrospect, you realize, I wonder

3:46

if that might have been what I think it may

3:48

have been. For

3:51

those who might not know New York, upstate

3:53

New York, New York City

3:56

obviously is a very densely populated area but

3:58

New York State is actually... actually quite

4:01

remote, a lot of wilderness

4:03

area. Once you leave

4:05

New York City, I mean, you

4:07

can really, you can go a long way

4:10

without hitting a road. So where

4:12

we had moved to, and

4:14

this was in the spring of 95, was

4:17

a place where we lived on the

4:19

edge of very dense

4:21

deciduous forest that

4:24

if you had, if you went out of

4:26

the house and into the woods, you

4:28

could literally walk 15 or

4:30

20 miles without ever

4:33

hitting a road. And

4:36

I think that's probably surprising to many people, but it's

4:38

true. I know I sent you a map for you

4:40

to look at. Anyway, we had

4:44

been living there from, we'd moved

4:46

from New York City and been living there for about

4:48

a year at this point. And

4:51

my parents decided that they wanted to

4:54

get an exchange student. I

4:56

don't know what their reasoning was. I think my father was

4:58

just bored. Anyway, they

5:00

had a young man come from Europe

5:03

and he was staying

5:05

with us for the year. And

5:08

he was living in

5:10

the downstairs portion of our house. Pardon

5:13

me, I'm just trying to warm up here. I'm a little

5:18

cold. Anyway, we lived in a house that,

5:20

it's kind of like, it was like an

5:22

Alpine style raised ranch sort of a home,

5:25

where you have windows that

5:28

are kind of by your knees on the

5:30

outside, but inside if you're downstairs, they're kind

5:33

of by your head level, shoulder level. And

5:36

then it's like a split, it's

5:38

a raised ranch. So then above that, you have

5:40

windows that are 10 feet up, something like that.

5:43

Anyway, not to get into too much detail,

5:46

but we actually imagined

5:48

this. We had moved from New York City and

5:50

now we lived in a house where our

5:54

driveway was literally close

5:57

to two tenths of a mile long. I

6:02

know that sounds maybe not too, too long, but it

6:04

was quite long and steep. And

6:07

we had the only

6:10

neighbors that we could in

6:12

the area were – you

6:15

couldn't see them. They were through the woods and

6:17

they weren't even there. They were just houses that were

6:19

like weekend rental houses

6:23

or permanent sort of weekend homes and

6:25

people almost were never there. And

6:28

then – and you

6:30

couldn't – so no cars could

6:32

actually come into the area without

6:35

us hearing them. We're seeing the

6:37

headlights. It's so quiet at night. You can

6:40

hear a car coming from over a mile

6:42

away easily even when you're

6:44

inside and you can see the

6:46

headlights. So one

6:48

night, I was 12 years old at this

6:50

time. I was laying in

6:52

my bed. It was 8.30 or 9 o'clock at night. Lights

6:56

are on. I was in the bed or anything. The house

6:58

was still somewhat active. My

7:00

father wasn't home. He was

7:03

away for work. It was just my

7:05

mother, my sister, me and

7:08

the exchange student downstairs. He

7:11

was about 18 at the time. I was

7:13

laying in bed and I heard

7:15

the sound of a

7:17

car door slam, which surprised

7:20

me because I didn't hear a car

7:22

coming up the driveway, which was – I mean,

7:25

there was no Teslas at the time for any

7:27

electric car. We would hear any car

7:29

coming and they didn't see any headlights coming.

7:32

But the outside floodlight had come on. The

7:35

motion detector light had come on. So

7:38

I thought that was odd and I looked

7:40

outside and I just

7:42

saw our car, but

7:45

no one around it and

7:47

I thought, huh, did my mom go outside or something

7:49

to get something from the car? And

7:52

then I heard it again and I

7:55

thought I heard some footsteps outside. It

7:58

was like a bluestone. gravel driveway.

8:03

And that's happened several times and I was

8:06

kind of confused because at one point I heard

8:08

the car door slam and I was looking outside

8:11

and I saw the car and I and no

8:13

one was at the car at this point. And

8:16

I was just like, what do I miss something? You

8:19

know, I thought maybe I saw like a

8:21

flash or something. I thought

8:23

maybe I don't know what I had seen but

8:25

I really didn't see much of anything. I just

8:27

was baffled by why I heard the sound of

8:30

like someone getting in and out of a car. Anyway,

8:33

I went outside into the

8:35

kitchen. I don't know if it's

8:37

to get water or something to eat. And

8:40

our exchange student from

8:43

downstairs came running

8:45

upstairs shaking

8:48

and was pale white as a ghost

8:51

and he just said

8:55

right away, I was working

8:57

out and I went to open the

8:59

window to let

9:01

some air in and there was a

9:03

face in the window and we were like, your

9:05

face reflecting in the window? He's like, no, it

9:07

was the face of a

9:10

man or something, you know? And he

9:13

was really horrified. And

9:18

I believed him suddenly because of what I had

9:20

been hearing. So my

9:23

mother immediately called the police and

9:26

at that time the police,

9:29

the dispatcher said, okay, it's going to

9:31

be about 40 minutes before he gets

9:33

there. And my father's like,

9:35

I'm home alone with two children and this

9:38

guy who was terrified in the middle of nowhere

9:41

in the woods and it's going to be 40

9:43

minutes, thanks. So after

9:47

40 minutes, I actually hear the car coming

9:49

and then I see his headlights in the

9:51

woods. He had gone to the wrong location.

9:53

He actually went to about 150 yards

9:56

or more through the woods. an

10:00

old spring house. And

10:03

I shouted over to him and told him to come back

10:05

this way and he did. And

10:07

he said that, we

10:09

asked him if like, since he was over

10:12

there, did we had anyone, you know, maybe

10:14

somebody parked over there and walked through the woods.

10:17

And he said, he said, no, no, no. His

10:20

tracks were the only ones that had gone in

10:22

and come out. It was mud season. And so,

10:25

you would know if any

10:27

car had come in or out.

10:29

And he said, no.

10:31

But, you know, he

10:34

thought, well, I'd

10:36

never had a report of anything

10:38

like this. So, we don't really

10:40

have any peeping toms out

10:43

in the middle of nowhere, which is just not a report they

10:45

ever get. He said, you

10:48

know, maybe it's maybe some kid from high school, you

10:50

know, breaking the guy.

10:52

And so, I said, oh, well, you

10:55

know, he wasn't particularly

10:57

well liked. And so, you

10:59

know, maybe that's possible. And so,

11:01

whatever, you know, the

11:04

cop left and the night passed without any further

11:06

event. The

11:08

next night, it happened again.

11:10

You know, I didn't hear

11:12

anything outside this time. I don't remember if

11:14

I was in my room or not. But

11:17

the first night, I certainly was. The second night,

11:21

he came up again, the same issue,

11:25

even more scared this time. There

11:27

was someone, you know, someone staring at him through

11:29

the window. And again,

11:31

when we were again, called the police, this

11:34

time they sent, I think it was a local cop

11:36

that came, I don't remember if it was off duty

11:38

and just came anyway just to be quicker. But

11:42

they were there much faster this time. And

11:45

again, you know, no, you

11:48

know, they didn't see any tracks or anything

11:50

coming anywhere of cars. And,

11:52

you know, we hadn't heard any cars coming

11:54

in. So

11:57

again, you know, that night passes, nothing

11:59

else. really happens. The

12:02

third night, my

12:04

father had come back home and

12:09

he's heard about this at this point and

12:12

once again, this poor guy

12:14

comes upstairs, you know,

12:17

shaking like a leaf, you

12:19

know, freaked out again. This guy worked out, he

12:21

had like a workout regimen the same time every

12:23

night and it just

12:25

seemed to be happening, you know, someone

12:27

was watching him, I guess just doing these

12:30

silly exercises or whatever, you know, inside and

12:32

he came up

12:35

and this time, my

12:39

father in a bathrobe with

12:42

a baseball bat in hand goes

12:45

flying out the door and

12:47

is just screaming every expletive in

12:49

the world that you can imagine.

12:52

But I had followed him out right

12:55

behind him. I

12:57

don't know why I did but I think maybe

12:59

that's just trying to be tough. But

13:01

this is really why I began to believe

13:06

what the guy really was saying because

13:08

I heard the sound

13:10

of someone or something running

13:13

through the forest and I'll

13:16

get back to that in a little bit.

13:18

So we never

13:21

saw or heard anything again and

13:23

the years went

13:25

by, 30 years or

13:27

so went by in which,

13:29

you know, my parents just thought, oh,

13:32

this is just said to us, it's just

13:34

some kids at school, you know, pranking him,

13:36

they don't, he's, you know, being

13:38

bullied or something. Okay. So

13:40

30 years goodbye and

13:42

this is a very small town, very small school

13:46

and things just don't add

13:48

up because I have

13:50

asked, there's only 18 kids in the

13:52

class that he was in school, that's

13:54

how small it was. I

13:56

have friends that were in his class and

13:58

below him and I have

14:01

interviewed several people asking them, you

14:03

know, if any of their

14:05

friends to this or they heard and or

14:07

if they'd heard about any of this. And

14:09

in a small town, you know,

14:12

everyone would have heard about this in high school because they

14:14

would have been laughing about it

14:16

for years. But

14:19

so no one had that. Nobody knew

14:22

what I was talking about. There was no one

14:24

who and not only did they

14:26

never hear about it, they couldn't imagine who would

14:29

do that and who would do that for

14:31

three nights in a row. And

14:34

also, why was this

14:36

guy so terrified and

14:39

why wouldn't he recognize, you know,

14:41

he was a class of 18 kids, he was

14:43

there all year. He would have

14:45

recognized them. It would have

14:47

been more than one, I think, and they would

14:49

have recognized them. And why would he have been

14:51

so terrified and unable to describe? He

14:55

wouldn't go into detail about what he saw in the window. And

15:00

to make things the first of the

15:02

point, when I went out behind

15:04

my father, I heard someone

15:07

or something, when I'm telling

15:09

you running through the forest, this

15:11

was like an Olympic sprinter moving

15:15

so fast through the woods. And I heard the

15:17

sounds of branches, you know,

15:21

just breaking apart with incredible

15:23

explosiveness. And it was

15:25

going in the direction where,

15:28

like I told you, you could

15:30

go for miles without hitting a road. They

15:33

weren't running towards any house

15:35

or any car location,

15:38

any road. Also

15:40

to imagine that any high

15:42

school kid would have cased the

15:45

whole area and would have, first

15:47

of all, this is 95, so it was not

15:49

like there was GPS. They'd have to find out

15:52

where this guy lived, which

15:54

wasn't easy to do. They would have,

15:57

on school nights, had to have parked all

15:59

over the place. over a mile away in

16:01

the pitch darkness without a flashlight, mind you,

16:04

walk through the woods three nights in a row, more

16:07

than a mile in the woods in pitch blackness, just

16:10

to stare at somebody

16:12

in the window, like

16:15

as if that's a prank to do

16:17

or to think to scare somebody, it

16:20

doesn't make sense. And then the sound

16:22

of those footsteps, just the

16:25

way that it sounded just doesn't

16:27

make sense at all. Just

16:30

in now when we think of it in retrospect, everyone

16:32

I talked to about it just thinks it's

16:35

just the strangest thing that they've heard and it

16:37

doesn't make any sense. But

16:39

it did happen. I know it happened because we

16:42

both heard, my father and I both heard this person

16:45

crashing. And I

16:47

was expecting to see flashlights and I was expecting

16:49

to hear laughter because if it were, I would

16:52

think that if it were someone pranking that they

16:54

would have not come alone and

16:57

they would have had a flashlight and the sound

16:59

of someone, you know, if they were being chased

17:01

off, you'd expect two teenagers to be laughing and

17:03

they run away. Who

17:07

can run through dense forest in

17:10

pitch black like an Olympic

17:12

sprinter and this went on for? I

17:14

heard this person or this thing

17:17

running for well over half a mile

17:19

or more into this forest. I

17:23

mean, it was impressive. Anyway,

17:26

I reached out to

17:28

you because I didn't

17:31

know if you had any insights, Wes,

17:33

and I thought perhaps there was something

17:35

that you might see that I

17:38

don't. And

17:41

I just wanted to put it out there. I just

17:43

figured I'm trying to just

17:46

be helpful to all the people that have, you know,

17:48

have spared the

17:50

stigma and ridicule of

17:53

having people not believe what they say

17:55

they saw. I

17:57

didn't see anything but... But

18:00

I certainly, I don't

18:04

believe in basically

18:08

telling thousands of people that they're liars when

18:10

I believe them about everything else. So

18:13

I hope this helps anybody

18:15

who needs to

18:17

come forth for their own benefit. Yeah,

18:20

it's strange, Mike. You know, I don't

18:23

think it was someone from school, obviously,

18:25

because there's too much going on there,

18:27

and why didn't the kid recognize someone

18:30

from school? You know, kids would

18:32

have been laughing, running off. Like

18:34

when you and your father went out there,

18:36

how you had noticed little things like, oh,

18:38

there's no flashlights. Oh, this thing's running through

18:41

the woods like an Olympic sprinter. And

18:43

you know, I kind of had that experience in

18:46

Texas. I've talked about the log being thrown at

18:48

my head. But right before the log

18:50

was thrown at my head, I saw

18:52

what I thought was someone from our group

18:54

running through the woods, not far from where

18:56

we were at. And

18:58

little things started right off the bat. I'm like, why

19:00

don't they have a flashlight? But the whole time I'm

19:02

thinking it's a person. And

19:05

then I'm like, okay, that's pretty fast

19:07

for, I mean, they were screaming through

19:09

the woods just running. It's faster than

19:11

any man could really run through the

19:13

woods. And all that happened right

19:15

before the log was thrown at us. But

19:17

in my mind, I was like, you know,

19:19

why doesn't he have a flashlight? You know,

19:21

who is that? It didn't

19:23

really click with me that this

19:26

is off. There's something very wrong here. And

19:28

I'm sure your dad must have recognized that. But

19:31

I'll come back to that in a second. One

19:34

thing I want to ask you about, the car

19:36

door that you heard and the

19:39

noise of the car, there wasn't

19:41

an actual car that had pulled up

19:43

and someone getting out, correct? So

19:47

we had a car outside, but I

19:50

was looking at the car when I heard the sound

19:52

of it and there

19:56

was nobody at the car. That's

19:58

what's bad. I heard it. heard it and

20:00

thought someone must have come up without me hearing, then

20:03

I looked outside and I heard the sound again

20:06

coming from in the general vicinity but

20:09

there was nobody at the car. That's

20:11

what was so strange to me. And

20:14

I heard it several times and it

20:16

was a detail that I, for

20:19

some reason, it's so vivid in my mind hearing

20:21

it and thinking how bizarre it was. And I

20:25

have no explanation for it because for a while

20:27

I thought, why would

20:32

teenagers want to open the

20:34

car door and it was

20:36

likely locked anyway but open

20:39

it and slam it and

20:41

then I just kept it to

20:43

myself that I heard it again

20:45

without anyone being at the

20:47

car. Because it just

20:49

sounds nuts and I thought maybe

20:51

I imagined it or something but

20:55

Noah, that was something

20:57

that I kept hearing over and over again

20:59

that first night meeting up to him coming

21:01

upstairs. Yeah, and

21:03

that's kind of the weird part. The initial

21:05

thought would be, someone must

21:08

have been opening the car door or something

21:10

must have been going on there. But

21:13

I interviewed Ron Morehead. He

21:15

captured the Sierra sounds. You

21:17

hear him there in the intro when

21:20

these things are talking back and forth to each other.

21:23

The place where he captured the Sierra sounds,

21:25

you're not getting there by car. I mean,

21:28

you're not, you can either parachute

21:30

in, you can go in by horse or

21:32

if you're really up

21:34

to it you can hike in but there's

21:36

no way you're getting a motorized vehicle to

21:38

this location. And I

21:40

remember several times he told me that when

21:43

they were in this little shelter thing, that's

21:45

how they captured the noise that's now called

21:47

the Sierra sounds. There were several

21:50

nights when they were in that shelter and

21:52

Ron said, we all heard a car

21:54

pull up, doors open

21:56

like someone was getting out,

21:58

door closed. They're in the

22:01

shelter going what in the world you know

22:03

there's no way to get a car like who drove a

22:05

car up here how in the World and

22:07

they would come out of the shelter and there was nothing

22:09

there and run said that

22:11

that happened a lot when they were There

22:13

they would hear sounds of You

22:16

know vehicle doors being opened or a

22:18

vehicle driving up stopping and

22:21

someone opening a car door, but there's no

22:23

car there Just

22:25

weird stuff like that. I want

22:27

to go back to the exchange student He said he was

22:29

about 18 Yeah,

22:32

he was his Westie. I'm sorry you give me a

22:34

moment here. Are you giving me goosebumps? I

22:36

I have the seer sounds I did not

22:39

know that about the car door thing with

22:41

Ron I had no idea about that he's got

22:43

the hair standing on end of my you've heard

22:45

me here because I mean that's

22:47

just I Mean that that

22:49

puts two and two together there I didn't hear a car pulling

22:51

up but I certainly heard the sound of the car door so

22:54

man and And it and perhaps perhaps

22:56

it makes sense why it stood out to me because

22:58

it maybe wasn't quite the real

23:00

sound of it Yeah,

23:02

that's probably why it does stand out to you.

23:04

It might have been off a little bit I

23:07

think even Ron said the noise was off a

23:09

little bit But if you had to describe it

23:11

sound like a car pulling up and you know

23:14

car door being slammed And

23:16

everyone knows that sound it's like the the sound

23:18

of Shotgun being cocked

23:20

to everyone know it doesn't matter what part of the

23:22

world you're in you know that sound It

23:25

is fascinating though that that you experience

23:28

that and going back to

23:30

the exchange student You know when I was

23:32

18 I saw someone

23:34

on my window. I'm going out there

23:36

to confront them Right, you know

23:38

it's not it might be too

23:41

much testosterone and and ego talking at

23:43

that time But I would

23:45

have rushed out there and the fact that he was so

23:47

terrified Makes me wonder what

23:49

he saw in his window that terrified him so

23:51

much Did he ever go into

23:54

any sort of detail about what he saw?

23:57

He was he was unable to,

24:03

he wouldn't go into any detail. He

24:07

was frightened. When I think about it

24:09

now, it really doesn't make sense because

24:12

he was frightened in a way

24:14

that doesn't make sense. I mean, if

24:17

there was a teenager outside of his window

24:19

and it caught him off guard, there's no

24:21

way he was going to be, he

24:25

was, I mean, he

24:27

was, you know, one

24:30

notch away from, you know, from soiling. When

24:32

you followed your dad outside, I

24:34

was telling you about my little trip in

24:36

Texas and

24:45

how for a split second, little

24:47

things didn't quite add up, but you

24:49

guys had heard the same take off

24:51

and basically tear apart the forest on

24:53

its way out. And you

24:56

would notice the little things like, oh,

24:58

there's no flashlight. Oh, the, these kids

25:00

aren't laughing. And why is this

25:02

guy running like an Olympic sprinter through

25:05

the forest in the middle of the night? After

25:07

all that happened, did you and your dad ever

25:10

talk about that? I'm sure your dad must have

25:12

caught on to those small details the same

25:15

way you did. You

25:17

know, my

25:19

father, somewhat recently about it, and

25:21

he's, you know,

25:23

he's, his memory is, is

25:26

always less clear.

25:28

He just remembers going

25:30

outside yelling. And he probably,

25:32

you know, speaking of like testosterone, I mean, cocky

25:35

was probably like, you know, I showed that little

25:37

SOV, whatever. But

25:41

he went inside. I mean, I

25:43

distinctly remember the sound of

25:45

I don't know that he ever that

25:47

he remembers hearing the running, but I'm

25:50

telling you that I mean, I

25:53

can, I can vividly recall

25:56

hearing the direction that

25:58

the running was. and

26:00

just how impressed

26:02

I was by it because you're

26:05

talking about an area where it's not like

26:11

a big high canopy

26:13

with just open ground

26:15

below it. Where

26:18

we were was dense secondary

26:21

forest that had been pasture

26:23

land that had started growing

26:25

over again in the 40s. So it

26:28

was all wild forest

26:30

now, declared wild forest, but it's all

26:32

blackberry bushes and just

26:35

dense undergrowth as well as 40,

26:37

50 foot trees as well. What

26:40

I'm saying is that without the

26:42

use of a machete and

26:45

a flashlight, if it's a

26:47

regular person, they're moving through there very quickly and

26:49

they're not moving in the direction of just

26:51

more and more woods. Mind you,

26:53

it was also on a hillside, so

26:56

it was pretty steep elevation

26:58

as well. They were really cooking,

27:01

really cooking. They were going in an area

27:03

where you'd have to double back

27:05

out or just walk many, many

27:07

more miles well up the ridge and up the

27:09

mountain. Kids

27:12

doing a prank really makes no

27:14

sense at all, especially where you

27:16

lived. That's a lot

27:19

of work to go into, just scare someone. Usually when

27:21

you do a prank, you do it once. You don't

27:23

do it three nights in a row. It just

27:26

hits reaction of how

27:29

terrified this guy was of a

27:31

quote unquote person in his window.

27:33

The thing was probably going up

27:35

and watching him work out, being like, what

27:37

in the world is this guy doing? It's

27:39

probably entertainment. That's what I've come to get concluded

27:42

with. It's probably like, oh, it's the best show

27:44

in town at the moment. This

27:46

guy is going up and down

27:48

on all fours. He

27:51

was probably funny looking. He

27:54

wasn't wearing much clothing doing that. He was

27:56

probably like, oh, look at the hairless naked.

28:00

you know. Yeah,

28:02

I think that's exactly what was going on.

28:05

You know, after your dad chased this thing

28:07

off the property, did anything

28:10

else ever happen? You know,

28:12

so the couple of things I can

28:14

I can just recall is

28:17

that I

28:19

heard one night, sort of similarly

28:22

laying in bed, but it was in summer, had the windows

28:24

wide open and I I

28:26

remember my blood running cold

28:28

because I heard what sounded

28:31

like what wanted

28:33

to be a deer, but

28:38

it wasn't quite right. It was, you

28:41

know how deer, especially like a

28:43

doe, a doe when they

28:47

if they can't locate their fawn or fawns,

28:49

for example, they'll make this sort of like

28:51

like this sort

28:54

of noise that you know, if

28:56

you're not used to it, it's pretty weird hearing in the night.

28:59

But this was like was like that sound

29:01

and mixed almost with that kind

29:05

of like meow cry of a peacock, you

29:08

know, it was like it was like a hapow with a you know,

29:10

sort of a thing. And it and it

29:12

made my blood run cold because there's nothing

29:15

that makes that noise. It was like something

29:17

trying to sound like a deer. But

29:21

but was had had vocals

29:23

where there shouldn't have been. It was

29:25

voiced when it shouldn't have been. So

29:27

that happened. And then one night, just

29:32

it was a beautiful night and exactly

29:34

3am I heard what I saw at

29:36

the time may have been a sonic boom, but I

29:38

didn't hear any planes going by and just heard

29:41

this enormous. It was like a if

29:43

you can imagine a roll of thunder, but like

29:46

a way that it can really stretch out, but it

29:48

was I didn't know in a crystal clear night just

29:50

this huge just

29:52

inordinate and it it sort of

29:54

like shook the house a little bit and it just it

29:57

just rumbled through and I never heard anything like

30:00

that before since

30:03

it was a strange place to live. One

30:05

night on a very, one day, sorry, a very

30:07

sunny day, I came outside and I

30:09

was, I think I must have been going to walk down

30:12

into town, it's about a mile or two, or two

30:14

miles. I came outside and I

30:17

came around the house and we

30:19

had a yard out front that slipped

30:21

down very fast and into like a pine forest.

30:24

We had like a

30:26

big, like an area where we

30:28

had stacked up like branches

30:30

to make sort of, I guess it's just some

30:32

sort of like composting, but not composting, just you

30:34

break down brush and branches, you stack them into

30:37

a big pile and sort of mulch it down.

30:40

I came around the house, I didn't see

30:42

anything, I just heard this like, this enormous

30:44

crash is that something had just like run

30:46

in, like I had spooked, you know, startled

30:48

something and it jumped into that big

30:50

pile. I remember, you know,

30:52

I froze really quickly and I,

30:56

because I just heard, I saw that

30:58

those branches, something large had jumped in,

31:00

so I thought maybe it was a

31:02

bear. But then, you know,

31:04

I didn't hear anything more and I thought, is

31:06

there a bear in those branches? And I just

31:09

was standing there looking and in the light, I

31:11

thought I could see some hair, but

31:13

it was, I mean,

31:15

it certainly wasn't a bear and

31:18

I, and it was just then

31:20

dead still, I could just sort of see

31:22

some sunlight, really what

31:24

I thought was hair and I, you

31:27

know, I didn't think much of it and I just

31:30

figured, huh, maybe I don't know what that was,

31:32

but I then just walked, I

31:34

just walked away. But

31:36

it was just, it's unusual now, I think about how,

31:38

how there was this clearly a

31:40

big crash into the brush and

31:43

then, and then something very still,

31:45

you know. Yeah,

31:47

I think if you're not thinking Sasquatch

31:50

or Bigfoot, a lot of times

31:52

people will pass things off like, hmm, that was

31:54

weird, you know, not really give it a second

31:56

thought. It definitely sounds

31:58

like they were on the the property.

32:00

You know, after that exchange student

32:03

left, did anyone occupy that room

32:05

he was in? No,

32:09

I think we may have... No, it was a guest

32:11

room after that. It was a guest room

32:13

after that. We were there for four years. He was there

32:15

the... By 90... I think it was seven, maybe?

32:21

97, we had two different homes.

32:24

I gotcha. Yeah, so it

32:26

sounds like there were still weird things

32:28

going on the property even after this

32:31

kid left, but they

32:33

weren't coming up the way they were before.

32:35

And I kind of think part of that

32:37

was your dad's reaction. That's

32:39

what I was thinking. I think they didn't think... You

32:41

know, someone didn't think there was a man of the

32:43

house, you know, present, and then suddenly there was. Yeah,

32:47

that's kind of what I was thinking. That

32:49

and along with just his general reaction of

32:51

running out there like a madman, ready

32:54

to kill someone, you know,

32:57

how this thing reacted, how it took off. And,

33:00

you know, after you guys moved out of

33:02

the home, did you ever sit down with

33:04

your parents and talk about anything

33:06

else that might have happened on that

33:08

property? No, you've

33:10

got to understand, but my parents, first

33:13

and foremost, were city

33:15

transplants, my

33:17

father, you know, was away for work much of the

33:19

time. And my mother was

33:22

a full-time professional as well. And so we

33:25

were, you know, we

33:27

were as kids were home alone a lot. You

33:30

know, we would get off the bus

33:32

and we'd walk up that driveway. It was like,

33:35

you know, quite a journey

33:37

by ourselves. And we would

33:39

be home by ourselves quite

33:41

a lot. I think that

33:43

maybe that may have been part of the thinking why also

33:46

they got exchanged at one point

33:49

was just maybe having someone who was,

33:51

you know, a bit older just

33:53

to be around just in

33:56

case emergency or whatever. But that

33:59

was only a thought. that one year. So my parents,

34:02

they wouldn't be a source

34:05

of too much stories. Although my mother did say

34:07

to me the day, she said, you know, it

34:10

was kind of creepy and spooky up in that house. She

34:13

did feel like there was something there in retrospect that

34:15

does kind

34:21

of bother her. She's

34:24

a pretty very practical person of

34:26

science, she's a doctor. But

34:28

so, you know, that's, they're

34:31

not the right person to ask. I

34:34

did, when I was asking, when I was

34:37

asking people in high school about,

34:39

you know, if they had heard of anything, a

34:42

close friend of mine, I actually was asking

34:44

him and I said to him, you know,

34:47

I don't want to draw any conclusions here.

34:49

But I think it may, you know, not

34:51

have been, you know, a

34:53

human or, or you know,

34:55

that that was there. And he knew

34:59

where I was kind of alluding to. And he

35:02

told me a story that he

35:04

and some friends one

35:06

night were driving their

35:09

bicycles over

35:11

over this mountain to go into town for

35:13

something at night. And they

35:15

had flashlights like taped to the front of

35:17

their bikes. And they told

35:20

he told me that he

35:22

was going down they were

35:24

going down this hill pretty fast.

35:26

And up in the distance, he

35:29

saw the shadow

35:31

or silhouette of a

35:33

very large looking person jump

35:36

down seven feet off of a

35:39

stone wall on the side of the road land

35:43

on one foot and off the

35:45

same foot, you know, jump

35:47

from that, you know, from the middle of the road, you

35:49

know, to the other side and into the woods. He

35:52

said he told me he was

35:54

wondering, first of all,

35:57

who was crazy enough to just be out at night like

35:59

that, but he was one tactical gear that

36:01

that huge guy had that he could

36:03

do that. Yeah. Right. So I

36:06

said to him, I don't think I don't know that was a

36:08

person, my friend. That doesn't

36:10

that doesn't seem I don't know if you ever heard of anything

36:12

like that, but to

36:14

jump down and on one foot, you know, bounce

36:16

right back off of it, you know, like a

36:19

bounding almost like a Puma. Yeah,

36:21

I've seen that in my own

36:23

encounter. And your friends, right, it's,

36:25

it's hard to explain because it

36:27

sounds like nonsense when you try and

36:30

tell someone, hey, the same jumped

36:32

and bounced off the middle in the middle of the

36:34

road like it was a trampoline and it was gone.

36:36

But you know,

36:39

a lot of eyewitnesses have seen that.

36:41

I'm with you. I think that your

36:43

friends did see it that night. I

36:45

think over these three nights, the

36:47

exchange student saw it. And

36:50

it sounds like even you might have had a

36:52

sighting with the crash that you heard and couldn't

36:54

quite make out what was in the middle of

36:57

this big huge stack. It's

36:59

like I was telling you before, man, the

37:01

Cascills, they're notorious for sightings. I've

37:03

had many eyewitnesses come forward from

37:06

that area to share

37:08

their sightings. I wanted to ask

37:10

you, Mike, you know, I ask everyone on the

37:12

show, what do you think Sasquatch is? And I'm

37:15

curious, what are your thoughts? You

37:18

know, I've given that I've given that a lot of

37:20

thought because I know you asked people about that. And

37:23

I've kind of come to the conclusion of

37:27

there isn't a one size

37:30

fits all here. Because

37:33

I think the variance

37:37

lends credence to too many

37:40

different things. I

37:42

think a relic hominid is a perfectly

37:46

fine theory. I think

37:49

you could also have groups

37:51

of people who have

37:55

been somewhat marginalized over

37:57

over centuries living in the

37:59

woods. who can sort

38:01

of evolve away from the rest

38:04

of us as well. Like it doesn't

38:06

have to be a relic commented, it could actually just be a

38:09

more recent one. But I

38:11

think the sightings that people have of these,

38:14

the reports you hear of these like

38:17

incredibly impressive

38:19

looking, you

38:21

know, bodybuilder specimens that

38:23

they report, I, it's

38:25

just, it feels to me like there might be

38:28

some sort of genetic

38:30

engineering going on there. Because

38:34

I don't think in the historic sightings do, do

38:37

you hear too much of

38:39

people talking about, you know, the impressive physique

38:42

of, you know, of monsters

38:44

basically. And I think if you just go

38:46

back to World War II when you hear

38:48

the rumors about sort of animals being

38:51

used to make, you know,

38:53

perfect weapons or perfect soldiers and

38:56

things like that. I

38:58

don't want to sound too out there, but I

39:01

wouldn't, you know, I wouldn't put it past anybody

39:03

or, you know, some deep state agency

39:06

to create something like that. Especially

39:08

if I heard that story of someone

39:10

who on their death bed confessed to, you know,

39:12

being part of some sort of agency that had

39:15

to go and shoot some of these

39:17

things for some

39:19

sort of mission or whatever. That's

39:21

not, that's like, that

39:23

just sort of lends it to it.

39:25

So I think just to answer your

39:27

question, I think there's

39:29

several things going on. It's

39:33

hard for me to believe that it's just an ape. Although

39:35

I'm not saying it can't be because certainly

39:39

we've been surprised before. We're

39:43

talking about a creature that has to be

39:46

mobile enough and intelligent enough to then

39:48

move somewhat seasonally to

39:51

be able to survive the hardships of winter. So,

39:54

you know, I think it's something

39:56

closer to human than it is

39:58

to animal. And

40:00

I know people who have seen it say

40:03

it looks human but not white. So

40:05

I hope I answered your question here, but I

40:07

think there's several

40:10

different answers. Yeah,

40:12

and I appreciate you answering it, and

40:14

I do agree with you. There

40:17

is – that's why it's so hard to

40:19

answer that question, because if you say – I

40:22

think it's some form of human,

40:24

you could be right. If you say

40:27

it's some form of animal, you could be right.

40:30

If you say it's somewhere between an animal

40:32

and a man, you could be right. That's

40:35

why it's so hard to answer that question, so

40:37

I do appreciate you answering it. It

40:39

makes me – out there in the Catskills,

40:41

I was telling you, it's pretty notorious for

40:43

sightings. I've had a lot of sightings come

40:45

out of that area, and I know maybe

40:47

not so much in New York City, but

40:50

out there in the Catskills, everyone I've

40:52

talked to, most witnesses coming forward, they're

40:55

armed to the teeth out there in the country, and

40:58

this behavior of coming up to a window, your

41:02

chances of getting shot are very

41:04

high. And it

41:06

always amazes me that we can't quite catch

41:08

up with them, because you do hear about

41:10

people going out kind of like

41:12

with your father, but imagine your father

41:14

is armed to the teeth and

41:16

just blasting away. I mean, you would think

41:18

we'd catch up with them because you hear

41:21

those type of reports a lot. Yeah,

41:24

I mean, this plan – people – I've

41:26

heard from hunters

41:28

in the area that they've

41:31

heard things from

41:33

credible people about it. Their

41:35

take on it is that they think it's

41:37

more of a transient population

41:40

or individuals than it is like

41:42

a more resident one, but

41:45

hunters I talked to don't – they

41:47

don't dismiss that notion at all. And

41:52

it's interesting. I mean, I think when

41:54

you're getting into the sort of

41:56

interdimensionality aspect that people bring up, I

41:58

think that's an interesting point. interesting thing. I

42:01

wouldn't dismiss that right

42:03

out either because of just what

42:06

we're learning about the whole UFO issue, that

42:10

it might not be extraterrestrial as much

42:12

as it is just sort of ultra-terrestrial.

42:15

It's here, has always been here, and

42:17

we just aren't always able to see and sense

42:20

these things. Yeah,

42:22

and you bring up a good point there too. I

42:24

mean, I know the interdimensional thing

42:26

sounds crazy to a lot of people,

42:28

and even I still struggle with it.

42:30

But much like you, I'm

42:32

not so quick to throw that out the window

42:34

either. No, there's a

42:37

framework mathematically in physics for

42:39

it, so it's

42:41

not an implausible thing. I

42:44

wanted to ask you, has anyone ever thought about the

42:46

fact that they

42:49

talk about with infrasound and

42:51

these things with the incredibly expressive

42:53

vocal chords? I mean, it would

42:57

be possible at the right frequency

43:00

and in decibel levels. If

43:03

you can levitate objects or

43:06

even make them appear

43:08

to disappear with the

43:10

right sound frequencies, has anyone

43:12

ever theorized that perhaps that's

43:16

what these things do and can actually sort of render

43:19

themselves camouflaged or invisible by doing such

43:21

a thing? Yeah,

43:23

I don't know that anyone has ever really

43:25

done a study on that as

43:28

it relates to these things. I'm

43:31

with you though. You're right about

43:34

frequency. Everything is vibrating at a

43:36

certain frequency. If you

43:38

change the frequency of a sound, for example,

43:41

you can make a person angry,

43:43

you can make a person terrified,

43:45

you can make a person totally

43:47

change their attitude and

43:51

how they're reacting to things. And

43:53

I know with infrasound, in the normal

43:55

animal kingdom, there's nothing

43:57

really weird or magical about it.

44:00

What's weird is with these things, if

44:02

they are producing infrasound, I

44:06

understand people say, well, when Sasquatch

44:09

is around, everything goes quiet. All

44:12

the animals go quiet. The

44:14

theory is, well, the big predators here and now

44:16

all the prey are going to be quiet, which

44:19

is true to an extent, but why did the

44:21

insect shut off? There's

44:24

a lot of weird things that go on in

44:27

these situations where you hear people say, well, I

44:29

got zapped. What

44:32

really happened when you got zapped? What

44:35

is it that you think happened? I

44:37

think it's a little more than infrasound. I

44:40

think there's something else going on here. You're

44:43

right with regard to frequency, and

44:46

I won't go into it like I'm some sort of

44:48

expert. I know very little about it, but if

44:51

you could change your frequency, you could walk

44:53

through walls. You could seemingly vanish.

44:56

You could do a lot of things

44:58

that don't quite add up to

45:01

our reality, and most of

45:03

that's proven with math through physics and

45:05

everything like that. With

45:08

these things, I don't know that it's infrasound. I

45:11

hope it is. I hope it's nothing more than

45:14

what I think is going on,

45:16

which is much darker and much

45:18

more worse than simple

45:20

infrasound that a normal animal would

45:22

give off. Yeah,

45:25

I think

45:27

when you examine this further and further,

45:29

like I said, it's not a one-size-fits-all.

45:31

I think some of the sizes that

45:33

fit do tend to bring us

45:35

to conclusions that are

45:37

not so pleasant to

45:40

learn. I

45:42

would like it to just be a

45:44

simple animal, but I don't think that

45:46

adds up. Simple

45:51

animals are something we can study. Yeah,

45:53

I agree with you. As

45:56

far as the cascals go, there's a

45:58

lot that comes out. of there. I

46:00

think most people I've talked to, I know this

46:02

happened to you back in 95, but

46:05

most people I've talked to, it doesn't

46:07

seem like they hang around that long.

46:10

Kind of like what you

46:12

were saying earlier, how they just kind of pass through.

46:14

And I think you're onto something

46:16

there for sure. It's

46:18

one of those things, there's so

46:21

many... Sometimes I wonder if

46:23

there is a set

46:25

of rules or something, because your

46:27

dad's storming out and this thing

46:30

just taking off. And

46:32

knowing full well if you've ever seen one

46:34

of these things, your dad didn't stand a

46:36

chance. He was running into something really he

46:38

didn't want to get in a fight with.

46:40

But this thing ran off. And

46:42

it makes me wonder sometimes when

46:45

people step it up or ramp up this

46:47

situation. And I get crap for this, but

46:49

I talked about the

46:51

old woman in Texas that she

46:54

had what she described as three black

46:56

men that would come

46:58

up and look in the windows, bang on the house.

47:01

And this old woman would go out with

47:03

a shotgun and start blasting as they're running

47:05

back into the forest. And

47:07

nothing weird in her mind, it must

47:10

be three human beings coming up and just

47:12

harassing her out in the middle

47:14

of nowhere and continue to

47:16

do it even after she comes out

47:19

with a shotgun and starts firing shots

47:21

out off at them. Or the guy

47:23

where he was in Florida

47:25

and he thought it was this man up

47:27

on a ridge throwing rocks at him, not

47:29

on a ridge, but kind of up the

47:32

hill, throwing rocks at him and his

47:34

buddy as they came in. And he

47:36

picked up a rock and threw it back. And that's

47:38

when he got hurt. I

47:40

think people get hurt when they engage

47:43

with them. It's almost like there's

47:45

a weird set of rules or something like that.

47:48

Or even, yeah, that's very possible. There

47:50

are probably rules of engagement. But even

47:52

just from the extent of like

47:55

if they think you're being playful, you

47:57

know, if you try to play with

50:31

I can hear you.

50:40

I can hear

50:42

you. I can

50:45

hear you. I

50:52

can hear

50:55

you. I

50:59

can hear you.

51:03

I can hear you. I

51:12

can hear

51:17

you. I

51:19

can hear

51:24

you. I can

51:28

hear you.

51:33

I can hear

51:38

you. I

51:41

can hear

51:45

you. I can hear

51:49

you. I

51:54

can hear you. You

52:31
