It looked like somebody was bent

0:06

over and had their head in the

0:08

window of the deer blind and it

0:11

either heard me or smelled me and

0:13

he pulled his head out of the tent

0:14

and stood straight up and that

0:18

shocked me.

0:22

They don't make

0:25

people that big.

0:31

The way it moved, almost

0:35

as if it was gliding across the beach. I've

0:38

never seen anything move like that in my life.

0:45

They were screaming at each other in gibberish.

0:49

It sounded like a language and they

0:51

were chuntering away back and forwards, back and

0:53

forwards, I know what

0:57

a bear looks like and there is no way

0:59

on this planet that what I saw were bears.

1:24

This

1:33

is BMX Hall of Famer Gork

1:35

from Tulsa, Oklahoma and you are

1:37

listening to the most killer podcast

1:39

on the planet, Sasquatch Chronicles.

2:00

Welcome to the show everyone.

2:11

Thanks for

2:13

being here tonight. Got a great show planned

2:16

for you. Uh, we'll be chatting with,

2:18

uh, John and John comes to

2:20

us from Massachusetts. And back

2:23

in 2021, he was out hiking

2:26

and he ran into one of these creatures, not only

2:28

one, but several of them. I'll

2:31

kind of let John go into it. Uh,

2:33

we're also be chatting with, uh, Jane

2:35

and back in 2013, uh, she saw this weird light

2:40

in the sky over Palm

2:41

Springs. Uh, if you've

2:43

had an encounter and you'd like to be on the show,

2:46

shoot me an email. My email

2:48

address is Wes at Sasquatch

2:50

chronicles.com. And

2:52

if you get a chance to check out Sasquatch

2:54

chronicles.com, you can become

2:56

a member and get additional

2:59

shows.

3:00

Uh, let's jump into it tonight. I

3:02

want to welcome my John to the show.

3:05

Uh, John, thanks for coming on.

3:07

Thanks for having me Wes. Yeah. And you

3:09

had an encounter about two years ago,

3:12

barely two years ago out

3:14

there in mass, uh, if you

3:16

would just kind of start from the beginning,

3:18

what were you doing? And, and what happened?

3:22

Yeah. So, uh, I was going to college out

3:24

in the Berkshires out in Western mass. And,

3:27

uh, it was right after my midterm week

3:30

and I was just really stressed out from everything.

3:32

I still had a few papers I had to do.

3:34

So I said, let's take some time to myself. So I went out

3:36

to, um, October mountain, state

3:39

forest out in the Lee.

3:41

And, um, it's like one of the bigger state

3:43

forests out in mass. And

3:46

so I was just out there just going for

3:48

a walk, just trying to decompress after everything.

3:51

And I probably got in about hour

3:53

and a half in, and then it started,

3:55

the

3:56

sun definitely started going down and started getting

3:58

a little dark.

3:59

So I figured. I turn around and head out to my car,

4:02

but it was almost hitting that golden

4:04

hour. It was almost really starting to look

4:07

really nice. And I kind of want to get some pictures and there

4:09

was a, it

4:10

wasn't like a finished trail,

4:12

but there was a trail that was kind of going like

4:14

upwards. So I figured if I

4:16

could go up there, I might be able to like

4:18

get some good shots of the sun, maybe see it

4:20

on the tops of some of the trees if it got high

4:22

enough. So I just started going up there.

4:25

And then I just

4:27

see this thing and it's not

4:30

overly big. It's probably

4:32

about my size. It's about

4:35

I'm about six one. It was probably,

4:37

it was roughly the size of me and it

4:39

was just, it had a branch in

4:42

one hand

4:43

and the rest of the leaves were up by

4:45

its face. And when it saw me,

4:47

it just, it stopped just

4:49

like I did.

4:51

And it kind of had like its mouth half open.

4:53

Like it just kind of like froze as

4:55

it was showing

4:56

and it tilted its head up, but

4:59

it kept its eyes on me, like kept

5:01

his pupils on me. And

5:04

it was, the

5:06

eyes were human. The eyes were definitely

5:09

human. You could see the whites of

5:11

the eyes and that's the part that just really gets

5:14

me.

5:15

Like I hate that. It was all, it

5:17

was all animal except

5:19

for the eyes, the nose

5:22

and the mouth. I was,

5:24

I didn't know what I saw. I was just kind of

5:27

just frozen, staring at it.

5:29

And we were probably like that for 30

5:33

seconds when I just

5:36

heard like a crash, like

5:38

this, like a crunch of stuff, like the leaves

5:41

log on what it was. And a bigger

5:43

one came up

5:45

and it was just kind of as it came up, it had its

5:47

hand raised

5:49

to the smaller one and it

5:51

was looking at me. It had its head lowered. Like

5:53

its head would have been looking

5:55

down, but its eyes were on me and

5:58

it had its brow up and it was just like. was staring

6:00

at me the whole time. It had its hand raised to

6:02

the smaller one.

6:04

Like as it like if a person were

6:06

to put their hand up to say stop.

6:08

Like that's like what it was doing to the smaller one.

6:11

And I mean, I just started I

6:13

cried. I mean,

6:15

I wanted to be sick. I

6:18

think I said when we first talked to us, I like,

6:21

I kind of want to feel more like an adult,

6:23

but I kind of had a

6:25

childish reaction to this.

6:27

I didn't know what to do.

6:30

So I just kind of stood there and looked at it.

6:32

And it looked at me. And

6:34

then it looked past

6:37

me, like it looked behind me. And

6:40

it just kind of did like it like it's it's cheeks

6:42

puffed out when it is kind of gave like a like a

6:44

like a like something

6:47

I can't describe the Sierra sounds

6:50

that I've heard you play before. It was

6:52

kind of like that a little higher,

6:55

with a lot more like huffing

6:57

in it. I don't know

6:59

how to describe it. I don't think there is a way to

7:02

describe it. But it did

7:04

that looking behind me. And

7:06

then without looking at me again, it just kind of

7:09

turned around looked at the smaller one

7:11

and started to walk away with its back

7:14

to me. And the smaller one

7:16

was still looking at me. It kind

7:18

of had its eyes wide. I

7:20

don't there was an expression

7:22

on the face, which

7:25

is what made to feel so human

7:27

and so much of it came from the eyes.

7:29

And

7:30

it was like, confused,

7:32

or scared or something it it

7:36

was it was thinking about me, it was considering

7:38

me. And then it kind of just got

7:40

up and followed the bigger one. And

7:43

the bigger one never looked back. But the smaller

7:45

one kept looking over shoulder back at me. And

7:49

I'm standing there and I'm terrified. And I

7:51

actually did throw up after that. It

7:53

came out. And that's what made me feel like I could

7:56

kind of get myself back together. And I

7:58

didn't want to turn around because I saw I knew that

8:01

the bigger one spoke or whatever

8:04

behind me. So

8:08

I'm turning around expecting to see one and there's nothing

8:10

there. And I didn't know

8:13

what to make of that. I didn't know why it made

8:15

that sound. I don't know why it did what

8:18

it did.

8:20

All I knew was that they were gone, but

8:22

I still felt just

8:25

like dread.

8:27

I felt terrified.

8:30

And I just slowly started

8:32

making my way back to the entrance

8:35

of the camp where my car was. And

8:37

I remember I had every, I mean, my

8:40

arms were tucked into myself. I had every single

8:43

muscle in my upper body just flexed,

8:45

just like clenched.

8:47

I was just, my legs were just bringing

8:49

me, like forcing me

8:51

to get out of there. And I was just trying to not

8:53

think about it. And whatever I did,

8:56

I didn't get hurt. So

8:59

I was just trying to stay calm and just get out

9:01

of there. And as I'm going,

9:03

I finally make it, there's like a gravel

9:06

entrance almost. And as I'm going

9:09

down,

9:10

I'm almost at the exit of the

9:12

park to the parking lot. And

9:15

from behind me, I just hear like a, like

9:19

a, like a deep, like, I can't even do

9:21

it. It's like a, something

9:24

like that.

9:25

And I turn around and

9:27

there's another one of these things. And

9:30

it was, it was bigger

9:32

than

9:33

the big one that had come out before. This

9:35

thing

9:36

was, I mean, I would say nine

9:38

feet. The other one I'd say maybe

9:41

eight, the smaller one my size. This

9:43

one was definitely nine feet tall.

9:46

And he was behind a

9:48

rock and I could see his foot.

9:51

You see one of his foot and the bottom of his leg coming

9:54

out from behind the rock. And I could see

9:56

from his chest up and

9:59

he had.

10:00

I mean, I don't, I'm assuming he was a male.

10:03

I, I, this is one of those things sometimes like

10:06

when you see a dog or, you know, something just,

10:08

you get that feeling, oh, it's a, it's a boy. I don't

10:10

know. I, my better judgment is

10:12

saying this was the male. The other

10:14

one was a female. The smaller one was the kid.

10:18

And the male was just,

10:20

he made his noise and

10:23

I look back at him and he was staring at me and

10:26

there was no expression on his face, but

10:29

his eyebrows were raised

10:32

and his eyes were opened up wide and

10:35

they were like popping out of his head. His

10:37

mouth, he didn't look mad.

10:39

He didn't look angry. He just,

10:42

he wanted me to know that he was there

10:44

and he was watching me. I

10:48

don't, cause I didn't know that he was even following

10:50

me. I didn't feel like I was being paced or paralleled

10:53

as I almost made it out of the park. He called

10:55

out and he stared at me

10:58

and I turned around and I'm more

11:01

terrified than I was before. This time I felt

11:03

like I was in danger. Like this time I felt

11:05

threatened, but I just did

11:07

what I did before and I just turned around. I wanted

11:09

to be sick, but I couldn't bring myself to do

11:11

it because I didn't want to piss it off or whatever.

11:14

So I turned around and I started walking back and

11:17

I knew it was looking at me and I turned around and

11:19

it's just still there doing the same thing.

11:22

And the male is what

11:24

that, that one just,

11:27

that was like a terror

11:29

I've never felt before. That was

11:31

dark. I don't even like

11:33

thinking about it right now. My heart's starting

11:35

to pound. So I may

11:37

get back to the car and

11:39

the entire drive home, I had my hand over my mouth

11:42

and I was just, I

11:44

don't know why. I was just flexing

11:46

every muscle in my body and

11:48

it was just making me feel better for some reason.

11:51

And I got

11:53

home, my friends invited me out. I couldn't,

11:56

I just stayed home. I actually, I put an extra

11:58

blanket up over the window of my apartment.

12:00

because I thought I don't know

12:02

if they followed me home. I didn't know what it was. I thought I

12:04

was losing my mind, but I mean,

12:06

yeah, it was terrifying. Yeah,

12:09

that's very terrifying. I'm curious

12:11

on the appearance of all of them

12:13

and how all three looked. Going

12:16

back to that moment, when you were looking at the

12:18

small one,

12:20

can you kind of describe what he looked like?

12:22

Yeah. So when I came up,

12:24

I saw what it

12:27

had. There was this. I

12:29

can't. It was hairy. It was black.

12:32

I've heard because I started listening to your

12:34

show. I mean, not long ago, people said

12:36

there's some brown ones. Whatever.

12:39

What have you. This was black and

12:42

the skin was gray. It was like a blackish

12:44

gray, very leathery, very

12:47

wet. And the nose

12:50

was wide and flat. And

12:54

the way he had his mouth open,

12:56

I couldn't see his teeth like

12:59

his lip. Like it was like as if

13:01

he was in the middle of pewing and stopped.

13:04

And he was just looking at me. He tilted his head up.

13:06

The head was comical. There was no

13:09

hair on his hands where he was holding

13:11

the branch.

13:12

And he just froze in the same way I

13:14

did.

13:15

And then he looked forward

13:17

and then he gave me the side eye again.

13:19

And he'd look forward and give me the side again.

13:22

And then the what

13:24

I'm going to call the mother came up

13:26

and she was just the

13:28

exact same thing, just bigger.

13:32

And I mean, I don't know how they

13:34

develop. I don't know how it works, but definitely just

13:37

if you were to ask me, I would say more of

13:39

a female figure, I guess, like there were

13:41

breasts.

13:43

Is this a much

13:45

slender build than

13:48

the

13:49

bigger one that I saw later, like shoulders were

13:51

nowhere near as wide.

13:54

Let me ask you, John, how far away from

13:56

you is these two creatures at this

13:58

point? They

14:01

were probably about 30 feet.

14:05

If I were to guess,

14:07

if I'm thinking back to my football days, put it into

14:09

yards, I'd

14:11

probably say, well,

14:13

maybe 30 yards. I'm

14:15

trying to think of it. I think I have a better gauge from the football

14:18

field than with rulers.

14:21

Yeah, I get it, man. I use the football

14:23

field for measuring too a lot.

14:26

Even at 30 yards, that's

14:28

pretty close.

14:29

On the small one and the female,

14:32

did you notice the expression change at all

14:34

on the face? The

14:38

little one looked

14:41

like, I think I said earlier too, there was a look

14:44

of disgust after.

14:47

I don't think he knew what to do. I think

14:50

I came up on him. I think he might have gotten

14:52

a little too far away from mom.

14:54

He was just having a good time, not thinking about

14:57

it. I came up on him and I think that's why

14:59

I got so close.

15:02

To be honest, I don't

15:04

know if you want to bleep it out, but his expression said, oh, f***,

15:07

or oh, s***. He was

15:11

just as startled as I was. The

15:13

thing with the mom man is, I'm saying

15:16

she was small in the mail. She was still enormous. It's

15:19

almost as if she came out of

15:22

absolutely nowhere. She came out

15:24

from behind a tree and from behind

15:26

some brush.

15:29

But it was, I feel like

15:31

I should have been able to see her before

15:34

she made herself known.

15:36

And her expression never changed. She

15:38

was very calm.

15:40

She was very, in a weird

15:43

way, she made me feel a little bit

15:45

better because she

15:47

calmed that thing down and she was looking

15:50

at me and it almost felt like it's like,

15:52

we're just going to go

15:54

tell me, we're leaving, you should

15:56

leave too.

15:58

And when she, when she. She spoke

16:01

or whatever she did in the

16:03

direction behind me, which I'm assuming was the

16:05

male. That's

16:08

when it was... That's

16:11

when I saw some teeth in

16:13

the lip movement that was really

16:16

human.

16:19

That was really scary.

16:21

She wasn't doing anything at me, but

16:23

just the... She was so

16:26

eerily close to how

16:28

a human would look and wouldn't do it.

16:31

That really got me there too. That's when

16:33

I almost threw up on the spot.

16:36

Yeah, the part of your encounter that really fascinates

16:39

me the most is her putting up

16:41

her hand to the juvenile,

16:43

almost like stop. A couple

16:46

years back, I was talking to a hunter one time.

16:48

I think he was in Idaho and he was coming

16:50

out of the woods and he's coming into this

16:53

opening and

16:54

he ran into one of these creatures and he put

16:56

his gun up because he was terrified, describing

16:59

a male, very large male. He didn't

17:01

even know what it was.

17:03

So he puts his gun up,

17:06

like he's going to shoot it,

17:07

and it put its hand up, like stop.

17:10

He would say, stop your car. Or

17:13

in this case, he took it as, don't

17:16

shoot, putting the hand up, don't do it. That

17:19

part really fascinates me because she wasn't

17:21

doing it to you. She was doing it to the young

17:23

one. Do you think he had plans on

17:25

coming for you? I

17:28

got a sense that she was just trying to keep

17:30

him calm. I don't think he would have

17:33

come for me, but I think he could have

17:35

freaked out. And the way that like, have

17:37

you ever been around a little kid and

17:39

they're just meeting a dog for the first time and they might

17:41

get a little nervous, it's like, just put your hand out, like stay

17:44

calm. I don't think she wanted him to do that to me,

17:47

but I think she was like, you stay calm.

17:49

We're just going to go.

17:51

I think I got up on him

17:53

a little quicker than they would have liked. And

17:55

it was just like a flight, like

17:57

we're not going to do anything. We just have to get out of here.

18:00

That's my take on it. I have

18:02

no idea. I mean, it was it

18:04

was scary that it was so close to something

18:07

that we would do.

18:09

You know, it's strange, John, as

18:12

I've interviewed so many people

18:14

and, you know, kind of have a

18:16

gauge on what you might

18:18

expect from an encounter. And again,

18:20

it's all from eyewitness testimony. I

18:23

don't have like a secret book or anything like

18:25

that. But

18:26

one thing I've concluded is in a

18:28

lot of encounters, the female

18:30

seems to be the voice of reason.

18:32

They're not quite as aggressive as

18:35

males. They're not so

18:37

quick to shoot first and ask questions

18:39

later. They

18:41

seem to be way more chill

18:43

in a lot of encounters. Even Claire,

18:46

I have her there in the intro, and

18:48

she's saying they're chantering back and forwards, back

18:50

and forwards, back and forwards. What she

18:52

was talking about

18:54

was there was like some weird argument going

18:56

on. And her impression was the

18:58

female was trying to tell the male not

19:00

to kill her, which, you

19:03

know, isn't the first time I've heard an eyewitness

19:05

say that.

19:06

Like I said, I think the females are just way

19:08

more chill than the males when

19:10

you're standing there and she's looking past you

19:12

and she's doing this weird vocal.

19:16

What do you think was going on at that point?

19:19

I feel like she was saying, if she

19:22

was saying, I do think that the male

19:25

was behind me, whether he was in

19:27

plain sight or not, I don't know. I

19:29

do think he was there. And I think she was just saying,

19:32

we're going to go. And if he does something,

19:34

you get him. But like if

19:36

we leave and he leaves, just see

19:38

him out

19:39

and keep it at that. I think she was like, stay

19:41

peaceful

19:43

unless he does something.

19:45

I agree with you. I think that's probably

19:48

what was going on. I spoke to

19:50

a hunter one time. He didn't come on the show,

19:52

but he had a very, very aggressive encounter

19:55

out there in the forest while he was hunting

19:58

and very aggressive encounters.

19:59

with this male, a second

20:02

one showed up and he was like, okay, well I'm

20:04

dead. And

20:05

it had breasts. And he

20:07

said it was like some weird argument.

20:09

I

20:09

remember him telling me, he said, you know,

20:11

it reminded me of a couple

20:15

in a bar and the man

20:17

has had too much to drink and he wants to

20:19

fight.

20:19

And the female saying, hey, you know,

20:22

like the wife is saying, let's just go home, you know,

20:24

words are words. Let's just go, enjoy the night.

20:27

It was that sort of argument that

20:29

was going on.

20:31

When you were looking at the small one,

20:33

I mean, it's six one, that's still pretty big.

20:36

How much bigger do you think the female was?

20:39

The female had

20:42

to have been about eight feet. I'd say

20:44

eight feet at a max, maybe

20:46

a little bit less than that.

20:48

Yeah, the small one, when

20:51

he got up,

20:53

we were pretty much the same size. I mean, I had shoes

20:55

on too. I might have had boots on, it might have been a little bit

20:57

taller

20:58

at the time. But

20:59

we were pretty much the same size. When

21:01

he stood up, we were face to face.

21:05

So as you're walking out, John, you

21:08

don't hear anything pacing you don't hear anything

21:10

following you. You're getting to the

21:12

point where you're about to leave this, this

21:14

area, this park, this

21:17

trail. And you

21:19

hear this weird vocal from the mail

21:22

and he said it sounded like hay. Yeah,

21:25

dude, it was it

21:28

was it was like a hay,

21:30

but it wasn't quite there. And it

21:34

freaks me out. I mean, it's a sound that's

21:37

never gonna leave me.

21:38

It was just like a

21:39

like, like the age wasn't there. But that

21:42

and I was like, like, it

21:44

had to let me know it

21:46

was there. And that's the part that just freaks

21:49

me out, man. Like it, it

21:51

could not let me leave that park without

21:54

letting me know that

21:56

it's there and it's going to be there, whatever

21:58

it was trying to do that.

21:59

That's just, I mean, in my heart, that's

22:02

what I feel, man.

22:04

Yeah, it's kind of like when a bouncer

22:06

uses your head to open the door and then they tell you

22:08

don't come back. It makes me wonder

22:11

if that's kind of what it was, like don't come back,

22:13

you know, that sort of thing.

22:16

When he vocalized and you look

22:18

back and he saw him,

22:20

how far away from you was this thing?

22:22

The big one was further

22:25

away. He was probably

22:27

about 50 yards.

22:30

50 yards is still pretty close, man, when

22:32

you're trying to leave.

22:33

When you were looking at him, how

22:35

did his appearance, did it differ from

22:38

the other two?

22:40

Yes. He was

22:43

the same, but every

22:46

single thing about him was bigger. I

22:48

mean, he had to have

22:50

been four feet across for the shoulders

22:52

when he was coming over that rock. Everything,

22:55

I mean, he had his eyes wide open and

22:58

the eyes were bigger, the nose

23:00

was bigger, the head.

23:04

The head, you know what was really interesting was the

23:06

head was longer

23:08

going up on him than it was on the female.

23:12

Like his brow and

23:14

the top of his pointed head

23:17

was definitely, like the

23:19

female had one, but his was a lot more

23:21

prominent.

23:23

I know you kind of touched on it earlier

23:25

when you were talking about the expression

23:28

on the face

23:29

and the lack of one.

23:31

Was he just stone faced?

23:33

Yes. I

23:36

wish he had an expression. I wish he had more

23:38

of an expression. It was just

23:41

all coming through his eyes.

23:43

Like his, he was just leaning

23:46

forwards a little bit, just like staring.

23:48

He definitely

23:51

had a bit of a tilt

23:52

and his eyebrows were up

23:54

and his eyes, like they were just like popping out of his head

23:56

like he.

24:01

I can't take away

24:03

any...

24:05

I don't know what he was feeling based off of that

24:08

facial expression,

24:10

but I mean if he could

24:12

have heard me I think he would have and I think he

24:14

would have liked to. To be completely

24:17

honest with you, I think he was pretty close. He

24:20

wasn't making himself known if he was following

24:22

me on my way out. I mean like I said, I was probably

24:24

about an hour into the trail when

24:27

I saw the other two.

24:28

The whole time I didn't know he was there

24:31

and he got pretty close and he didn't have

24:33

to. Especially if he was planning on calling out to me, he

24:35

didn't have to get that close.

24:38

Yeah, it's very weird. It is like

24:40

the male wanted you to see him before

24:42

he left and you'd

24:45

made the comment if he could have

24:47

hurt you he would have and obviously it's

24:49

an opinion, but what

24:50

makes you feel that way?

24:54

I think I said the female and the

24:56

male, their eyes were both open and even

24:58

the little one, the eyes were open wide, but the

25:01

way he was doing it was a lot

25:03

different from

25:05

the other two. The other two were doing it...

25:08

I don't even know how to describe it. It was a lot more just like

25:11

wary

25:13

and more cautious when their

25:15

eyes were open. But

25:17

with him, and I don't know if that's because their head

25:20

was tilted up and they were

25:22

kind of looking at me at the side eye, but he was just

25:24

like a predator. He

25:26

was looking straight on dead at

25:28

me.

25:29

The eyes were popping

25:31

out of his head.

25:34

It was literally like a predator.

25:36

That's what it felt like. I don't hunt. I

25:38

don't go in the woods very often. I've

25:41

never been stalked by an animal,

25:44

but

25:45

that is what I'm assuming it is

25:47

like. He was just staring.

25:50

He was watching every last movement

25:52

I was doing.

25:53

It wasn't a... I

25:54

do think he was trying

25:57

to get across some aggression.

25:59

I think he was trying to scare me like we were saying earlier to

26:02

kind of say, don't come back and I didn't go back

26:05

and I don't plan on it.

26:07

Yeah, I was going to ask you if you went back. I

26:09

mean, I don't blame you for not going back. I don't

26:11

think I would go back,

26:13

especially being such a recent encounter.

26:16

You know, a lot of people will do what you

26:18

were talking about, John, after the encounter,

26:21

you're putting blankets up over your windows.

26:23

A lot of eyewitnesses do that. And

26:25

I

26:26

think it's just fear and shock setting in.

26:29

I wanted to ask you prior to

26:31

this encounter, what was your feelings about

26:34

the whole subject of Sasquatch? So

26:39

my first take on Sasquatch was when

26:42

I was in middle school watching Finding Bigfoot,

26:46

I watched it then, kind of,

26:49

you know, thought it was more funny than anything,

26:51

you know, I was like, all right, it's like, whatever.

26:54

Never really thought much of it since then.

26:57

Then it happened.

26:59

And

27:00

for a while, I mean, I just kind

27:02

of didn't want to believe it was what it was,

27:04

I almost kind of wanted it to leave my memory.

27:08

I found your show right after

27:10

I graduated. So I found your show about a year ago

27:13

and I started listening to it and everything

27:16

was adding up and I was like,

27:18

prior to listening to your show and just watching Finding

27:21

Bigfoot, I just kind of thought

27:23

if Bigfoot was real or the idea of

27:25

it was a big, like, monkey

27:27

in the woods, you know, big family of

27:29

monkeys. I don't, I

27:32

mean, your

27:34

show, my encounter, I'm

27:36

like, what, I don't know what they are. I don't know

27:38

what the deal is.

27:41

I don't, I don't like it. But

27:45

yeah, so to make a long story short, my prior

27:48

thoughts of Bigfoot comes from Finding Bigfoot. I

27:51

just thought it was a monkey

27:52

and then my encounter happened and I realized

27:55

it's a lot more human

27:56

and there's a lot more to it than animals.

27:58

Yeah, I get

28:01

where you're coming from. I mean, you're watching Finding

28:03

Bigfoot for Entertainment, and then all of a sudden

28:05

it's like, oh, they're real.

28:08

And I don't blame you one bit for not going back.

28:10

Like I said, I don't know that I would have went back,

28:12

but it would have been kind of cool to go see if there

28:14

was tracks or other evidence left

28:17

behind from this, especially since

28:19

there was three of them.

28:21

On paper, I'd love to go back and find

28:23

that stuff. But I think if I saw it again, it would just

28:26

make me throw up some more.

28:29

No shame in that happens to the best of

28:31

us.

28:32

And so when you were watching Finding Bigfoot,

28:34

you were thinking this is some overgrown ape

28:37

or monkey, some

28:39

non-human primate.

28:41

Now, after having this encounter, if someone

28:43

were to ask you, what do you think Sasquatch

28:46

is,

28:47

what would you say, John? And obviously,

28:49

there's no wrong answer.

28:52

Yeah, I mean, I would say

28:54

more human. I

28:57

would definitely say more human. I

29:00

mean, the eyes. I keep talking about the eyes, and that is where there was

29:03

just like human expression.

29:06

You look at a dog or something, or

29:08

even an ape.

29:10

They're

29:12

very intelligent, and I love animals, and I would

29:15

never just say an animal's dumb.

29:16

But

29:19

the amount of intelligence behind the eyes

29:21

of what I saw, and the

29:23

amount of intelligence behind like a gorilla

29:26

seen at the zoo or on TV, it's

29:30

really different.

29:31

There's so much

29:33

expression to the eyes of

29:36

Sasquatch

29:37

that I would definitely say it's more human.

29:40

I don't know if it's a missing link.

29:42

I don't know if it should be extinct

29:44

and isn't. I've kind of tried

29:46

to avoid a lot of theories because it just,

29:49

I kind of hate that I know that these things are out there

29:51

now. Like my life is different.

29:53

But yeah,

29:56

yeah, definitely more human than anything.

29:59

And you could be right for sure, John. I mean,

30:02

it's hard to argue that, especially

30:05

in this situation, because

30:07

if you had strolled up on

30:09

a black bear with its cub or

30:12

a cougar with its young, or

30:14

any other predator on the planet, if you

30:16

just stroll up on their young, there's

30:19

a 99.9% chance

30:21

you're going to get killed that day.

30:23

They will come for you. And

30:25

this one didn't really react that way.

30:27

It wasn't even

30:29

like any other predator on

30:31

the planet, even a chimpanzee or what

30:34

I

30:34

would imagine a gorilla would do to you if

30:36

you strolled up on their young. A

30:38

lot of reasoning goes on. The intelligence

30:41

is there for sure. How did

30:44

this event kind of change your life?

30:48

That's a big question. I feel

30:51

a lot smaller,

30:54

but not physically, not because I was the next

30:56

time I feel

30:58

like myself and

31:00

just like humans are a lot

31:03

smaller than what we

31:05

think we are. I think

31:07

it's weird that we don't. I've

31:09

always been open to the idea of aliens or something.

31:12

The universe is just so big. That's something

31:14

I could always get behind. But thinking that

31:16

we could be sharing the

31:18

earth,

31:18

this

31:21

planet with another humanoid

31:22

species that we don't

31:25

really know

31:26

is here really unsettles

31:28

me.

31:29

But at the same time, it makes me want to kind

31:31

of realize that

31:34

time isn't going to patiently wait

31:37

by as I sit here

31:39

and try and put this thing together. Life

31:42

is still going on. I haven't seen it since.

31:44

I haven't heard it since. It

31:46

was a one and done as

31:49

of now.

31:50

I'm just trying to move on. I

31:53

think I said I work with elementary school

31:55

students. There's a

31:58

lot of energy.

31:59

it's fun and they're naive.

32:02

I just think they were naive, but now I kind of feel more

32:04

naive. But

32:07

yeah, it's just,

32:09

I feel like I know a lot less about the world,

32:12

having seen that.

32:14

Yeah, I think that's well put, John, I really

32:17

do. I think, you know, after you have an encounter

32:19

like this, you start questioning other things,

32:21

you know, what else did I think was

32:23

BS and

32:24

is actually real? One

32:27

last question I wanna ask you is, if you had

32:29

the chance, would you wanna see

32:31

another one? No,

32:34

I feel like that was enough.

32:38

I mean, I saw like, I feel like

32:40

everything they could show me right then and there, like,

32:42

all right, it's there, that's what they look like.

32:45

That's

32:45

what they look like when they're young, that's what they look like

32:47

when they're males, that's what they look like when they're females,

32:50

I'm good. Yeah,

32:52

and that's fair, I understand that. I think

32:54

maybe as time goes on, you might change

32:56

your mind or not.

32:58

I don't blame you for not wanting to see another one.

33:01

It is strange though, when you look at

33:04

the intelligence, there was a gentleman

33:06

I had on the show one time,

33:08

a military guy, legitimate military

33:11

guy who had PTSD and

33:13

he was out on his property and I think

33:15

he had a backhoe or something, he had dug a big

33:17

hole and

33:18

middle of the night he comes out, and

33:21

he hears a screaming before he came out, he

33:23

kept hearing this almost like a woman screaming

33:26

and he went outside and it was the

33:28

little one

33:29

that was actually in the hole, had gotten into the

33:31

hole, couldn't get out, and he said

33:33

it was screaming and it sounded like a woman

33:35

screaming, and then there's two of

33:37

them standing there. He

33:40

pointed the gun at the small one thinking,

33:42

okay, I'm gonna kill him first and then

33:45

you're probably gonna kill me, and

33:47

what was fascinating about the encounter

33:49

is to watch these two creatures back

33:52

off

33:53

and almost kind of

33:54

in a weird way reason with him

33:57

about this whole situation. It's

33:59

very strange. They are very intelligent for

34:01

sure.

34:04

It's weird that they'll try to reason

34:06

with you. Like that really freaks

34:08

me out. I don't know.

34:11

It just seems too... There's so much

34:13

intelligence. I'm like... I think

34:15

it's just not knowing what it is or what they're thinking.

34:18

That's just like really throwing me for a loop.

34:22

I sometimes wonder if the

34:24

reason that they don't harm more

34:26

people is they're afraid

34:28

more people will show up. You know, when one

34:30

person goes missing, a ton

34:33

of people go out looking for that one person. And

34:36

again, this is just my theory. It

34:38

makes me wonder if they're afraid to have more people

34:40

show up.

34:41

Kind of going back to the intelligence.

34:45

This is just kind of my...

34:47

something that I'm sort of thinking

34:50

as I've sat around and thought about it.

34:53

But I know that I look a

34:56

lot older when I grow up my beard. I

34:58

mean, ever since high school, I have had a gnarly

35:00

beard.

35:02

Once I shave, like I have a baby face. I'll

35:04

pull out my ID. I'm 23 right now.

35:07

I'll pull out my ID and I'll have the beard

35:09

and the ID and I'm baby face in person and they

35:11

think I'm pulling their legs. And I was

35:13

shaving at the time and

35:15

I don't know. This could be just

35:17

completely irrelevant.

35:19

But I know I'd heard

35:21

you say before that they respond differently

35:24

to men, women and young

35:26

people. And I don't know if I

35:28

just looked younger. I mean,

35:31

I'm a pretty big guy still.

35:33

But I

35:34

don't know if that helped. I don't know if I had a beard,

35:36

if I would seem like a bigger threat.

35:38

I mean, I used to have like long hair and a

35:40

man bun. I don't know if I'd look a little more, I

35:43

don't know, untrustworthy or something. But

35:45

for some reason, I feel like since I was shaven

35:48

and I just looked really young, I feel

35:50

like that might have brought things down a little bit.

35:53

Yeah, it could be. It could be. I

35:56

think a lot of it had to do with your reaction. You

35:58

didn't freak out. You didn't.

35:59

start screaming,

36:01

you were calm and cool on the

36:04

outside anyway. I know internally you were

36:06

freaking out, but I think a lot

36:08

of that has to do with it. And as far

36:10

as like young, you know, younger adults

36:12

or women, I think there is a difference

36:15

in how they treat different

36:17

encounters. And I've noticed this from eyewitness

36:19

testimony that

36:21

with children and with women in general,

36:24

a lot of times they're dealt

36:26

with with more kid gloves

36:28

as opposed to a hunter,

36:30

you know, male hunter, not just a hunter,

36:33

a man who's out hunting or a man

36:35

who's out fishing. I think they

36:37

don't quite get the kid glove

36:40

treatment. And it's such an amazing

36:42

account. Like I said, I've heard them

36:45

of putting their hand up to humans.

36:48

I think it's probably the first time I've

36:50

heard of them doing it to another

36:51

creature, you know, a small

36:54

one. And I

36:56

really, I mean, it's a very, very cool

36:58

account. I know it wasn't cool for you. And

37:01

I know it's not the easiest thing to come on there

37:03

and retell an encounter. But

37:06

I really appreciate taking the time to come

37:08

on, John. I really enjoyed chatting with

37:10

you, man.

37:11

Yeah, thanks for having me, Wes. I appreciate it.

37:27

And next up on the show, I want to welcome

37:29

Jane. Jane, thanks for coming on. Thank

37:32

you so much, Wes. It's great speaking to you. Yeah, it's

37:35

nice speaking with you as well. I

37:38

know back in 2013, you saw this weird light in the sky out

37:43

there in Palm Springs, California.

37:46

If you would just kind of start from the very beginning,

37:49

what were you doing and what happened?

37:52

Yeah, okay. So my dad currently

37:54

lives in Palm Springs, and he's been living

37:57

in Palm Springs for the last 10 years. This

37:59

happened...

37:59

in 2013. So

38:02

he had been living in Palm Springs for about

38:04

three years at that

38:06

point. And I visit my father

38:08

at least once a year. And he's stayed

38:10

in he's been staying in the same condo complex

38:14

since he moved there in about 2010

38:18

ish.

38:19

And so I'm really familiar with the complex.

38:21

And I'm also really familiar with Palm Springs

38:24

itself. Palm Springs is essentially

38:26

surrounded by these kind of these rocky

38:29

mountains. And I don't mean rocky mountains

38:32

like

38:32

the mountain range. I just mean mountains

38:35

that are kind of rocky. There's

38:37

not a lot of like a lot of scrub

38:40

grows on them. They're kind of bare. You

38:42

do get snow caps sometimes. But

38:45

also for those of you who know

38:47

Palm Springs, you know that there is a military

38:50

base 29 palms that is

38:53

outside of Palm Springs, you know, a little

38:56

bit down the road, but it's still kind of in the

38:58

general area. So

39:01

I was visiting my dad and

39:05

just my typical habit is

39:07

during the evening, after

39:09

all the kids have gone to bed, and when there's

39:11

less people around, I go to the pool

39:14

to swim and

39:15

to swim kind of just by

39:18

myself and I get the whole pool to myself.

39:21

And I believe that this happened on kind

39:24

of a Wednesday or

39:26

Thursday. And by that point,

39:29

I had been on that visit

39:34

for over a week. So

39:36

I had a really good idea

39:39

what lights were

39:41

on the sky, what lights were on

39:43

in the area prior

39:46

to this event happening.

39:50

So as people would

39:52

know who have been to Palm Springs, there is

39:54

a trolley that goes up the mountain.

39:57

And that trolley has lights.

40:00

And I can say with certainty that this

40:02

had nothing to do with the

40:04

trolley that goes up the mountain. And

40:07

the reason why I say that is because, again,

40:10

I'm familiar with the area and

40:12

I know what lights are associated

40:14

with what places.

40:16

I had been poolside for

40:18

a few hours and it

40:21

was about 11 o'clock at night. It

40:23

was dark and I was swimming in the

40:25

pool. During my swim, I

40:28

noticed this incredibly

40:30

bright light above

40:33

the

40:34

mountain peak, the

40:37

mountain that this pool was facing.

40:39

I don't know what it was called. This

40:41

light was brilliant. It

40:44

was brighter than all

40:46

the other lights in the area. And

40:49

it was a blue-white

40:52

light, if that makes sense. Like, it

40:54

wasn't yellow. It was so

40:56

white, it was almost blue. I don't

40:58

know what that range of light is.

41:02

And

41:03

that light had not previously

41:05

been there. And I'm pretty

41:09

logical. And so immediately

41:11

I'm trying to come up with an explanation.

41:15

As I said earlier, I knew that this light

41:17

was not associated with the trolley

41:19

that goes up the mountain. This light

41:21

was too high in the sky

41:24

to be attached to a pole. To

41:27

me, it felt like a floating object.

41:30

I have no other way to describe it. It

41:32

was there. And it was

41:35

too large to be a star.

41:38

It was also too bright to be a star or

41:41

a satellite. And this light, because

41:43

I couldn't think of an explanation, and because it

41:45

was so large and so brilliant, I

41:48

fixated on it quite a bit.

41:51

And I can't tell you the time that

41:53

it was, but I stared

41:56

at this light for

41:58

what was the time. felt

42:00

like an eternity. And

42:02

I stared at this mountain

42:05

just watching and

42:07

listening. Now I can

42:09

tell you that it was completely silent,

42:12

or that at least that's how I remember it. I

42:14

just remember floating in this pool,

42:17

staring at this light for

42:19

what felt like ages.

42:22

But as I'm staring at this light, all

42:25

these smaller lights appear.

42:28

They appear on the mountain slope.

42:31

So what I'm saying is these

42:35

lights were not in the air. They

42:37

were on the mountain, as though

42:41

on the ground on the mountain. These

42:44

were very small lights, they

42:46

were quite dim. And they were

42:48

moving erratically up and

42:51

down the mountain in no particular order.

42:54

I would say that there was maybe 10 or 15 of

42:57

these lights.

42:58

Again, going back to my logical

43:01

brain, I'm trying to come up with an explanation.

43:04

Now, I know that 29

43:06

palms

43:08

is not that far away. Also,

43:11

at this time, there was deployment

43:14

and a war in Afghanistan, and

43:16

Palm Springs is a desert. So

43:18

I'm thinking, is this a military

43:20

drill? Is this some

43:22

sort of military training

43:25

exercise preparing soldiers for desert

43:27

combat?

43:29

That's what I'm thinking.

43:31

So I'm staring and I'm continuously

43:34

staring. All

43:36

of a sudden, the small

43:38

lights on the mountain slope go

43:40

off at once, off,

43:43

gone darkness. And

43:46

then in that moment, I'm

43:49

getting a little bit emotional because I

43:51

feel like I'm crazy.

43:54

But in that moment, that light

43:56

took off that

43:58

bright brilliant light that I explained, it shot

44:02

up and disappeared. Like

44:05

lightning speed. Just gone. I actually,

44:10

and I've heard a lot of witnesses and

44:13

listeners say that when they experienced

44:16

a Sasquatch or something unexplained,

44:19

that they,

44:20

that they urinate. That happened to me.

44:22

I urinated in the pool the moment

44:25

that happened. It

44:27

absolutely terrified me.

44:29

I couldn't, I didn't know what I was seeing.

44:32

I shot out of that pool like

44:35

a torpedo. I typically,

44:36

you know, crawl up the

44:39

stairs on the side of the pool to get out

44:41

and in. I shot out

44:44

over the edge of the pool.

44:46

Like I never do that. That's how terrified

44:49

I was. And that's the adrenaline that was

44:51

coursing through my veins when this happened.

44:54

Now my dad's condo

44:56

in that complex is like,

44:58

really close by, it's a couple of condo doors down.

45:02

I left my towel. I left my phone.

45:04

I left the book that I was reading.

45:07

I left my flip flops. All of that I

45:09

left on the poolside chair. I ran

45:13

into my father's house

45:14

in a bikini soaking wet, terrified.

45:18

And I burst in and he

45:20

was actually watching television.

45:23

And I screamed like, dad,

45:26

I just saw something in the sky.

45:28

And

45:29

you have to know

45:33

my dad and how I grew up. I

45:35

grew up in a conservative house. And by conservative,

45:38

I don't mean like politically conservative

45:40

or religiously conservative. I

45:43

just mean that it was a house where

45:45

we didn't discuss aliens. We didn't discuss

45:48

Sasquatch. They were

45:50

fairy stories. They weren't reality.

45:53

They were Star Trek episodes or in

45:56

search of episodes. Like it

45:58

was nothing to be taken.

45:59

seriously and like my parents

46:02

were of the ilk like if you

46:04

said you were scared because there

46:06

was a monster under your bed like they would just tell you to go

46:08

back to bed like this

46:10

kind of stuff was not entertained in

46:13

my house not because it was disagreed

46:16

with it just because it was just not considered

46:18

important enough to do so

46:21

anyway so I come into the house

46:23

I scream I'm like dad I just saw something

46:26

I light in the sky and

46:28

he turned to me

46:30

poker face and he said was it

46:33

a bright light that disappeared really

46:35

fast and I said yeah

46:38

and he's like yeah I

46:40

know and I'm like what

46:43

he said I was coming home from

46:45

a trade show in Las Vegas which

46:47

he goes to regularly

46:49

you can drive to Las Vegas

46:51

from Palm Springs quite easily

46:53

he was coming home and

46:56

there was a light that followed him that he

46:59

kept seeing in his rearview mirror that

47:01

was like pacing him it was keeping

47:04

up speed it would stop when he would

47:06

stop he would pull over he took pictures

47:10

of it he actually had a video on his phone

47:14

he freaked him out actually to

47:16

given that he's a non-believer in this kind of

47:18

stuff and he

47:21

just eventually just stopped the car

47:23

and just stared at it and it disappeared

47:25

like

47:26

a shot gone so

47:29

he had the same experience that

47:32

I had we both kind

47:35

of looked at each other and he's like I never

47:37

wanted to talk to anybody about it because I just

47:39

saw people thought we think I'm crazy and

47:41

he's like I didn't even want to talk about

47:43

it for professional reasons in case it

47:46

got out that I was seeing

47:48

UFOs in the desert

47:51

I've been quiet about it because I don't

47:53

the same thing I don't want people to receive

47:55

me as as being crazy or

47:57

is making something up

48:01

Yeah, I understand the way you feel, Jane,

48:03

and I understand the way your father

48:05

feels. And it's the same thing in

48:07

the Bigfoot world, why more

48:09

people don't come forward is because

48:12

you get goofed on. No one wants to be called a

48:14

liar. No one wants to be called crazy

48:18

or attention-seeking. And

48:20

I don't think that you are, and I

48:23

don't think your father is. Your father's encounter

48:25

is fascinating as well. I've heard

48:27

many encounters like that.

48:29

And even now the government, I know when this

48:31

took place it was 2013, and here we are 10 years

48:36

later, a lot has changed. And

48:38

even the government now is coming out. They're

48:41

not going to give you the full story, but they're like,

48:43

yeah, we're seeing these, we have these things

48:45

flying around and we

48:47

don't really know what to do about it. What are you

48:49

going to do? So I think

48:51

you'll get half the story. I

48:53

think the full story is much more terrifying.

48:56

And this absolutely goes on.

48:59

When you saw the large

49:01

light and then the smaller lights, were

49:03

they near to each other?

49:06

It was hovering above, I would

49:09

say maybe 50 feet above, 80 feet above.

49:13

It was low enough that

49:15

it was hovering, but it was high enough that

49:18

it was not attached to

49:20

a pole. It

49:22

was not an electrical line,

49:24

if you know what I mean, because there are no electrical

49:27

lines. My

49:29

immediate thought was that this was

49:31

a light attached

49:34

to a service station

49:36

or some sort of pole or some sort

49:38

of equipment that was stationary.

49:41

But there is none up there

49:44

other than what's associated

49:46

with the trolley. But I know the lights that are

49:48

associated with the trolley and they're not that bright.

49:52

The other thing I want to ask you is how

49:55

far away are these lights? And

49:58

the one that was the biggest...

49:59

that you're describing. I know it's kind of hard

50:02

to give

50:03

how big it is, especially at night.

50:08

But how big do you think that large light

50:10

was?

50:12

Well, it was quite far away because

50:15

I was... My dad lives

50:18

in the heart of Palm Springs on Sunrise

50:21

Way for the listeners at No Palm Springs.

50:23

And so the pool faced the

50:26

mountains. And I would

50:28

say, you know, it's miles away.

50:31

So this thing is very

50:33

large in order for me to see it from

50:35

the pool that bright and

50:37

that big already from a distance.

50:41

I can't gauge how large it is other

50:44

than it was big. And it was

50:46

silent. There was no hum.

50:48

There

50:50

was no vibration. It

50:53

was... But it was mesmerizing.

50:57

You couldn't... Once you saw it, you couldn't look

50:59

away from it. Yeah,

51:02

a lot of people see the lights, not only

51:04

in the sky, but you'll find even in a lot

51:06

of Bigfoot encounters, people

51:09

will describe these weird lights that

51:11

show up and like these balls of light

51:13

out in the woods. And what do

51:16

you think caused all of the fear that

51:18

you had that night?

51:20

I think it was a combination

51:22

of seeing something unknown,

51:25

but it gave

51:27

a vibe. I have no other way

51:29

to describe it. It unsettled

51:32

me. It unnerved me. It felt

51:36

like it was... I was seeing something that

51:38

was not supposed to be there. It

51:41

felt alien. I can't

51:44

quantify this other than feelings,

51:47

but that was my... That's

51:49

how I saw it. This felt

51:54

like it could harm me. It felt

51:57

sinister. But maybe

51:59

that's just my perspective. of it. Maybe

52:01

that's more to do with me than the

52:03

light. It felt physical

52:06

to me. It felt tangible. Strangely,

52:09

it felt like it looked back

52:12

at me.

52:13

Like, I saw it and it saw

52:15

me, whatever it is.

52:17

It felt

52:21

something physically there, not

52:23

supernaturally there, if you

52:26

know what I mean. Yeah,

52:28

and I know you're more of a scientific

52:30

mind, but I'm telling

52:32

you, you were talking about your feelings earlier

52:34

and 99.9% of the time, if you listen to your

52:37

gut, you're probably

52:40

right. What's your take on

52:42

aliens? What do you think that they are? Well,

52:45

I think that, I can't

52:48

believe I'm saying this, I think that they're

52:51

real. I think it's very ignorant

52:54

of us to say that we're the only life out there.

52:57

I mean, obviously, they're more advanced than

52:59

us. They're spacefaring. How

53:01

they travel through space is not

53:04

how we travel through space, if

53:06

you know what I mean. They have a different

53:10

set of technology that is alien

53:12

to us because they are alien.

53:16

Whenever humans think about aliens,

53:18

whether it's like alien invasion movies,

53:21

or just talking about them, we're talking

53:24

about them through our own lens. The

53:26

aliens are vaguely human

53:28

in the sense, they're here to destroy our planet,

53:30

they're here for resources,

53:33

they're refugees,

53:35

like in the case of what

53:38

is that movie that takes place in South Africa,

53:40

District 9. Those

53:42

are human things. Those

53:45

are our experiences that we're putting on

53:47

them. Aliens, we don't

53:49

know because they're aliens. They probably think

53:51

in a whole different way. Their biology

53:53

is completely different than ours.

53:56

Everything about them is different. That

53:58

is probably in a way that we can. can't really understand

54:01

because we're human. So I

54:03

do think that they exist. I think that they're real.

54:05

And I do think that they

54:08

are, I don't think they're supernatural.

54:10

I think that they're

54:13

beings that are real and

54:17

that are tangible and that are physical. I don't

54:20

think that they're sinister, even

54:22

though I had the experience that

54:25

that light was associated with something

54:28

negative. And the reason

54:30

why I say that is because

54:32

if

54:33

they have the power to travel through

54:35

space, then they have the power to

54:37

destroy planets and worlds. Ours

54:40

hasn't been destroyed yet.

54:43

If they could, they would, but they've chosen

54:45

not to. And I don't know the reason for

54:47

that. I also don't know the reason

54:50

why if they do exist, that

54:52

they choose to stay in the shadows.

54:57

Yeah, there's definitely a reason and

54:59

it's probably not a good one. You know,

55:02

listening to your account reminds me of

55:04

the Foo Fighters in World War II

55:06

and how the fighter pilots

55:08

would describe these encounters with these

55:11

weird balls of light. And they were terrified

55:13

of them.

55:14

As you can imagine, mid-air collision with

55:16

something unknown. Our world

55:19

is definitely more stranger than people think.

55:21

And I appreciate you sharing this. You know,

55:23

I know it happened to you back

55:26

in 2013, but you

55:28

know, I like the weirdness. I think it shows,

55:30

like I said, the world's much stranger than people

55:32

think.

55:34

I want to ask you, being that it's a Bigfoot

55:36

show and I know that you listen, I might

55:38

ask everyone on the show, what do you think Sasquatch

55:41

is? And I'm curious, what is your opinion?

55:45

Okay, well, I actually have a friend who

55:47

saw Sasquatch. I'll try to get her on the show. I

55:52

believe, and based on

55:54

her encounter, but also based on the encounters

55:56

that I've listened to on your show, I

55:58

actually think that the creatures are very different.

55:59

is a legitimate creature. I don't

56:03

think there's anything supernatural to it. I don't

56:05

think it's an interdimensional

56:08

traveler.

56:09

Maybe it's... maybe

56:13

it sees the lights too and it's attracted

56:15

to them. I think that

56:17

it's a species of hominid or just

56:20

an animal species that we don't know

56:22

of yet.

56:24

And the reason why we don't know is that it's so

56:26

highly adapted to its environment that

56:28

it can just disappear. There

56:30

are animals that we know of that

56:32

we barely ever encounter.

56:34

Like the... what is it? The Tibetan snow

56:37

leopard? Those animals

56:39

are like ghosts. And the reason...

56:42

I think they even call them ghosts. And the reason being

56:44

is that they blend in. They

56:46

know how to make themselves visible. That

56:49

is why they are the apex

56:51

predator that they are. I think

56:53

that this is another apex predator. I think

56:56

that it is curious of us,

56:59

but I think that it knows to keep its distance

57:01

as well. Because I think it knows what

57:03

we're capable of. We're noisy. We

57:07

typically travel in packs where

57:09

there's one of us, there's many, or it doesn't

57:12

take very long for other people to investigate.

57:16

Also we're deadly. We have the

57:18

capacity to kill, harm, and

57:20

maim. Wouldn't you want to stay away? I

57:23

would blend in. But

57:25

I'd be curious to see

57:27

you and to see what you're up to.

57:31

Yeah, and I think that's a fair answer for sure,

57:34

Jane. And I mean, who couldn't get on

57:36

board with that mindset, if that is

57:38

Sasquatch's mindset? I mean, I'm human.

57:41

And most of the time I don't want to be around other

57:43

humans, you know? But

57:45

I think it's a fair answer. And I know

57:47

you were kind of iffy about coming on, but I'm really

57:49

glad that you did. And kind of

57:52

share what you saw that night. And

57:54

I really enjoyed chatting with you, Jane.

57:56

Thank you again for coming on.

57:59

Thank you, Ed. I really appreciate

58:03

being on your show. I really appreciate your professionalism.

58:06

And I just want to say just

58:08

to your viewers that you're

58:11

not crazy

58:12

for what you see. And I think

58:16

there are more of us out there who have had these types

58:18

of encounters and that we're

58:20

just nervous to come forward. Because

58:23

we're terrified of the ridicule.

58:26

And that's why it's taken me this long

58:28

to come forward with this story. I mean, this

58:30

happened in 2013.

58:33

Yeah, I agree with you, Jane. Thank

58:35

you again.

58:37

No problem. And

58:40

that's it for tonight, everyone. Remember, if you've

58:42

had an encounter, shoot me an email. My
