This is a recording of a free online twilight session which was delivered by Dr Paula Cowan and Professor Henry Maitles of the University of the West of Scotland.
Focusing on the findings of Holocaust educational research, they examine their implications for classroom practice in using fictional sources to teach the Holocaust.
Particular attention is be given to young people’s understanding of current antisemitism and to teachers’ use of fictional sources in teaching the Holocaust. Reference is made to the new IHRA Recommendations for Teaching and Learning about the Holocaust.
