Christina joins us on this podcast to discuss the Central Alberta Sexual Assault Response Team (CASART). As one of the members of CASART, Christina explains what her role as a nurse is and how this team has come together to make a positive impact on the community it serves. She discusses the importance  of nursing roles in patient care after a traumatic event how CASART has impacted her patients in dealing with trauma for long after it has happened. CASART is fueled by the ability to make meaningful connections with the people that utilize it and revolves around the nursing role as a patient advocate - something that is crucial to positive health outcomes in patient care.
