What do heart cells and plant cells have in common? Quite a lot actually!
In this episode, host Barry Fitzgerald chats with Maritza Rovers and Jordy van Asten - who are both researchers in the department of Biomedical Engineering at TU/e - about their research on plant and heart cells respectively, in addition to their recent adventures in science communication.
Maritza's research is focused on crop breeding, while Jordy is working on the regeneration of new functional tissue to replace diseased heart tissues.
