Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch is a true sequel to the original Theatrical release Lilo and Stitch. Stitch!: the Movie (recently reviewed on Scraping the vault) was a spin off and extended pilot episode of the lilo and stitch TV show. Much like many of these Disney toon studios films which were the most realized episodes of short lived animated series see: Tarzan and Jane, Belle's Magical world etc. Lilo and Stitch 2 is a great sequel. Period. Well produced, great acting performances great animation etc. As Bob Iger takes over the Walt Disney Company, the acquisition of Pixar and John Lasseter now creative head of all Disney Animation, we are nearing the beginning of the end of these straight to video sequels befor we enter the tinkerverse.
