Lizzy Francis is a young powerhouse taking a stand for social injustice. Growing up in a traditional Indian home of 1st generation immigrants Lizzy experienced & witnessed a lot of emotional & physical abuse from her father, "typical" she says in Asian households. Lizzy would oftentimes be forced to stay at the dinner table until midnight, 1 a.m. or have food shoved in her face because she wouldn't eat much. Being forced to eat she developed a severe eating disorder. The anorexia gave her a feeling of control and power. The validation from others also contributed to her small fragile frame until one day a loving guidance counselor who Lizzy had great respect and reverence for scared her straight. After that Lizzy decided to dedicate her wisdom and power to make a change in film and around social issues. This powerhouse of a woman has a fiery spirit and I'm so honored to have her join us today! Please welcome miss Lizzy!
