I've been searching for a long time for an audio drama that's truly gripping and suspenseful; and one which has complex characters and authentic sounding dialogue. I've listened to a lot of BBC audio mysteries, but they're mostly cozies; and I wanted something more gritty. This certaily was that. Brilliant!

Really enjoyed this one. Good old fashion who done it. Good voice acting and plot development.

I have listened to This Thing of Darkness twice now and it hits me every time and it won't let go. The writing and acting is sublime, and the story so engaging, gripping and cruel. The same can be said of season 2
