The prophet Isaiah wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit that God would send the Messiah.  The Israelites looked for a liberator from their political enemies, but God had promised much more.  God had promised a liberator - a Savior - from the evil, murderous tyrant Lucifer. 

The Lord Jesus Christ's substitutionary sacrifice is amazing because it is the propitiation for the sins of the whole world.  Propitiation means "a place of forgiveness."  In Jesus Christ the sins of the whole world have been paid.  The debt was satisfied and so was the Father.  Freed from Satan's bondage into the kingdom of Light.  Hallelujah!  What a Savior!
