In today's gospel we hear about Jesus re-naming Peter, telling him that he is the rock that he will use to build his church - indeed the founding moment our our beautiful Catholic faith.  In today's podcast, I challenge the listener on the same question - who do you say Jesus is?  The answer, rooted in humility, is the gift of faith. I remind the listener that at confirmation we too get a new name, we too affirm our faith.  This faith, we each hold in our hearts - is the ROCK that Jesus uses to build his church.  You see, historically Jesus was speaking to Peter, but in today's history - Jesus is speaking to each of us.  If we truly believe our Lord Jesus Christ, our life is transformed.  This new life, this faith - is the rock and the death will not prevail against it. This faith fuels our mission to get out and spread the gospel!
