This is Sex Lies and Spray Tands

0:03

with Me Cheryl Burke and iHeartRadio

0:05

podcast. Hey guys, welcome

0:08

back to the rewatch series of Sex Lies

0:10

and Spray Tans where I go

0:13

back down memory lane and literally

0:15

watch every single

0:17

episode from top to bottom recap

0:20

it. So here we

0:22

go. We are finally here, folks.

0:25

I thought we were going to be here last week, but things

0:27

change and this show

0:29

just kept going on and on and on. It was as if

0:32

this show was twelve weeks long. However it

0:34

was only eight weeks long, including the

0:36

results shows. Also a friendly

0:38

reminder, don't forget to rate review

0:41

all the things wherever you're listening

0:43

to this podcast. Right

0:46

now, here we go. Let's

0:48

start with Jerry Rice and

0:50

Anya Trebunskaya as they do their last

0:53

finale dance the cha

0:55

cha cha. This is always so sad.

0:57

It's like bittersweet. We're so happy

1:00

that we get to finally

1:02

be done, and maybe at

1:05

times during times of like stress and frustration,

1:07

we're so like over it, right, We're over

1:09

each other. We're over how we've

1:11

just had no sleep, and with no sleep obviously

1:14

comes lots of temper tantrums

1:16

and you take it out on the person you're with the most,

1:18

and that is your partner on Dancing with the Stars.

1:20

So the final dance that we

1:23

do is a dance that we've done, but we

1:26

have to spice it up, whether that's making

1:28

it more challenging or just different altogether.

1:31

Jerry and Anya are redoing

1:33

a cha cha and during

1:36

their rehearsal you hear Anya basically

1:38

saying that Jerry is a whole new Jerry

1:41

as far as dance ability goes, and maybe

1:43

as a man most likely, because this

1:45

show, as we know, transforms lives

1:47

really and you hear you

1:49

see them first of all, rehearse and

1:52

you see Anya being really strict with him.

1:54

But Jerry's just said, you know, at the end of the day,

1:56

I've got nothing to lose. Basically, this is not quoted.

1:59

This is like a recap as

2:01

I said earlier. So he

2:03

said, look, at the end of the day, we have nothing to lose.

2:05

I want to win that mirror ball. And

2:08

Anya said, we're just going to really spice up

2:10

this chacha and we people have expectations

2:12

of Jerry now and you see them rehearse

2:15

their tricks, and you

2:18

know, Anya fell because

2:20

of the way I guess Jerry didn't

2:23

lead her properly from

2:25

the transition into the trick. And what I

2:27

used to love about these packages especially,

2:29

and I'm not so sure if they still do this or not,

2:31

but they really do a full recap

2:34

themselves of the finalists,

2:36

right and their journey together, which

2:38

is what I'm about to watch right now. I

2:40

just thought i'd break it up before I forgot what the

2:42

first part of the package is about, because

2:45

it happens. So you see, Jerry

2:47

and Anya basically are

2:50

on the stage, like the empty

2:52

stage where you guys see us dance

2:55

live. Right. So what Jerry

2:57

was telling Anya was like, you see, before I

2:59

used to play any football games,

3:01

I would go and go there alone,

3:04

step onto the field and just visualize

3:06

what was going to happen. And so he

3:09

said basically that this is what he's doing

3:11

right now. He's here on the stage

3:14

at CBS where we all

3:16

perform. It was just him and

3:18

Anya there, which they don't

3:20

allow nowadays, to be quite honest, we're

3:22

not really I mean maybe for the finalists they're

3:24

allowed to rehearse there, but it's rare that you

3:27

know, you're alone, mind you, the producer's

3:29

shooting them and all of that. But there's no other

3:31

dance couples or competitors there

3:34

at that moment when they shot this package

3:36

and he said, look, I just I'm here, I'm visualizing

3:39

exactly what's going to happen, and

3:41

then you see them exit. That was a

3:43

really solid chatcha, especially

3:45

coming from Jerry Rice and his experience

3:48

and his whole journey from his very

3:50

first dance to what I'm seeing right now.

3:52

His last dance, he had a lot more

3:54

freedom. His song he danced too

3:57

is called freedom as well by Aretha

3:59

Franklin. But he really,

4:02

you know, he did what he can do like this

4:04

is it. This was a great solid Like I said,

4:06

last dance, he was able to have

4:10

more movement in his

4:12

ribcage, to his hips,

4:15

to his even his foot placement and

4:17

his footwork was a lot more sharp

4:21

and it really he had

4:23

great timing with Anya,

4:25

like he was never offbeat

4:28

once he nailed all his steps.

4:30

I loved the way Jerry led Anya.

4:33

You could tell that Anya trust him

4:35

so much because she did so many

4:37

different types of tricks that I know that

4:40

they never did throughout

4:42

their season. He I wish

4:44

you know that he wasn't wearing

4:46

black, because I couldn't

4:48

see exactly all

4:51

of the quality of movement that he

4:53

was showcasing, and I think maybe it's because

4:56

it's also like, however many years almost

4:58

twenty years ago, so it could the video

5:00

the quality of the video. But I

5:03

wish he would have worn more of like a vibrant

5:05

color because like, this is why I

5:07

always like my celebrities

5:10

back in the day to where like a

5:12

bright color because then you see every movement.

5:14

When you wear black, it really

5:17

hides a lot, especially

5:19

on camera. But hey,

5:21

this is a huge improvement I give

5:24

Jerry and Anya and nine. Let's

5:26

hear what the judges have to say about Jerry Rice and

5:28

Anya Treeban skuy is Checha for

5:30

their finale dance. Okay, so

5:32

it starts with Len Goodman as always,

5:34

and Len goes to Jerry, Look, I

5:36

know I've been really hard on you this season,

5:39

but I'm paraphrasing, but

5:42

you could tell your grandkids

5:45

back in two thousand and six you were able

5:47

to master ballroom dance,

5:50

and you know, it was all feel good. Jerry

5:53

seemed so happy. And another thing that I'd like

5:55

to add about their dance actually was how

5:57

much fun for the first time, Like I

5:59

really thought he was genuinely having fun. And

6:01

actually Tom Bergern clarified that because

6:04

he saw Anya whisper something

6:06

to Jerry in his ear before

6:09

they started their finale dance,

6:11

and he asked her what that was,

6:13

and she said, all I said to Jerry was

6:15

have fun, and that's what they

6:17

did. Carrie Anne said, you

6:20

have done such remarkable things

6:22

in this competition. You never gave

6:24

up. We never gave up on you. You should

6:26

be so proud of yourself. Bruno said

6:28

to Jerry, the Lady and the champ. You

6:30

know, I think I can speak for all the judges when

6:32

I say that you have worked

6:34

so hard and we couldn't have asked for a

6:36

better competitor this season. Your

6:39

footwork was perfect. You did such

6:41

an amazing job. You should be so proud

6:43

of yourself. Let's see what the judges

6:46

have to say as far as scores go in

6:48

the Red room with Samantha Harris, so

6:51

as I am obviously watching this,

6:53

they cut to people in the audience

6:55

and there you see the whole cast of season two. You

6:57

see actually Master P's in his last

7:00

You see Lisa Renna and her amazing

7:02

pink fringe outfit that goes down. I

7:04

swear in history of the show because it's so

7:06

memorable. TIA's there, you

7:08

see the dancers obviously as well, and

7:12

everyone's just there supporting each other and especially

7:14

supporting the three finalists. So let's

7:17

see what scores the judges

7:19

gave to Jerry and Anya for their last

7:21

Chachatcha. The judges gave

7:23

Jerry and Anya three nines, which left

7:26

them with a total of twenty seven out

7:28

of thirty. I think they were both hoping for tens.

7:30

I kind of wish that the judges would just give everyone

7:32

a perfect score for the last dance, like

7:34

at the end of the day. I mean, it should

7:37

really come down to, first of all,

7:39

the whole season, but really the freestyle, right,

7:41

like honestly, but I

7:43

think Jerry and Anya were definitely hoping for

7:46

a ten. However, they got three nines. Still,

7:48

I think one of their highest scores or the highest

7:50

score that they've ever gotten. I don't think they ever

7:52

got a ten. So listen, you're leaving

7:54

on a high note. And again, this is the best place

7:57

for Jerry to be because there's no pressure,

7:59

the fact that he even in the final three,

8:01

and when they keep panning to the audience and

8:04

I see, like amazing talent, like

8:06

as far as like Tia could have easily

8:08

made the final, Lisa Rena could have easily

8:10

made the final. You know, so I know that

8:12

Jerry's was counting his blessings

8:14

back then, that's for sure. Let's

8:24

move on to the next couple, Stacy

8:27

Keepler and Tony Develani dancing

8:31

a samba. Okay,

8:34

so the intro to Stacy and TONI is basically,

8:36

I think we must have had like a day at least

8:38

or two days in between the final and the finale,

8:41

because there's a whole rehearsal package

8:43

that I didn't notice for Jerry and Anya. I

8:45

thought maybe they just split up the

8:48

rehearsal, but or maybe they did. This is

8:50

one of their tricks, like when we have multiple

8:52

dances to do, like mainly I would

8:54

say only the finale. You see this, they

8:56

make us change outfits and

8:59

whenever we rehearse a new dance,

9:01

we have to basically change so that it looks

9:03

like it's a different day. Fun fact

9:05

hashtag bts. But Tony

9:08

and Stacey both look

9:10

defeated. Tom basically says they were

9:13

really upset about the freestyle

9:15

and the scores that came along with it, and

9:18

Tony goes, you know, instead of adding all these

9:20

tricks to the freestyle, we just wanted to go

9:22

out there and have fun. Well, unfortunately,

9:25

as Tony now knows now, being an

9:27

All Star Mirror Ball champ, you

9:30

got to throw in all the tricks. Tricks

9:33

are not for kids for the finale, but

9:35

tricks meaning like it's got to make sense. You don't

9:37

just go from lift to lift to lift like it's all

9:39

got to make sense. I think if they would

9:41

have just made the hustle a lot more

9:43

complicated or a lot more intricate. Complicated

9:46

is the wrong word, a lot more intricate, hitting

9:49

those accents

9:51

in that amazing music that they danced

9:53

to that song Saturday

9:56

Night Fever I believe. I don't know if that's the name

9:58

of the song. Anyway, just

10:00

kept in that one lift and that

10:02

crazy trick they did, which they nailed,

10:05

then it would be fine

10:07

and they would probably would have been fighting at

10:10

to be Mirrorable Champs with

10:12

Drew and I. However, I don't know the votes, so who

10:14

knows if it was close or not. But you

10:16

see Stacy nursing her foot.

10:19

She has her foot wrapped during rehearsal,

10:21

for her last dance, and then as she's

10:23

doing this master interview, she goes actually

10:26

as of now you see her

10:28

sitting on a chair with her foot

10:30

in a bucket of ice, which I

10:32

actually loved that they showed, like I would love

10:34

for them. I don't think that's called breaking the fourth

10:37

wall, but like I just love when they show

10:39

stuff that you know,

10:41

people like us watching from home may

10:44

not even know, Like we would have had no clue

10:46

that she was icing her foot during her

10:48

interview or her master interview if they

10:50

didn't pan the camera down to have

10:53

us see it right, Like, it just makes it all so

10:55

much more real. Hopefully they do this

10:58

when they start next season. So

11:01

Tony brings in aka the producers

11:03

bring in a specialist to help Stacy

11:05

you know, stretch and really help

11:08

her stretch her muscles so that

11:10

she's able to at least practice for

11:12

their last dance, which is the Samba. But

11:14

you know, Stacy is a fighter. I'll never forget it.

11:16

Like she is tough. She may not look

11:19

it, but obviously she is. She was a part of

11:21

WWE. But she also you

11:23

know, has always continued to

11:26

be positive and see

11:28

the good in every single person, in every

11:30

single situation, and

11:33

yet she's still a fighter, so it's a killer

11:35

combo. And so she ends this package

11:37

with saying, it doesn't matter what has

11:39

happened to me as far as injuries go, We're

11:42

going to win this thing. Stacy

11:44

ends her package was saying I am going to be

11:46

the comeback girl, which means I have to give

11:48

a performance of a lifetime. I

11:50

just think they just came across both

11:52

of them this day or this night, the finale

11:55

night for their last dance, just so much

11:57

more loose and the

12:00

energy that I felt from them the

12:02

prior you know, competition, the

12:04

night before or whatever night it

12:06

was. When they did the freestyle and there's other

12:09

dance, they had such nervous

12:11

energy. I could even feel it through my cell

12:14

phone or laptop that I'm watching all

12:17

of this on and you know, there was

12:19

just I think for everyone it's like there's nothing

12:21

to lose. We've made it this far, so

12:23

let's just give it our all. But I have to say,

12:26

as she was dancing this amazing samba,

12:29

look, I don't think there's been anyone

12:32

as far as like her height goes,

12:35

that was able to pull off both styles of dance

12:37

like Stacy was one of a

12:39

kind, like I think with any like

12:42

model that's been there, or any tall

12:44

woman, like very tall woman that has

12:46

been on the show as a celebrity contestant,

12:48

has never had this much rhythm. Like she was gyrating

12:51

more than Tony was. And I know that's Tony's

12:53

thing, you know, when he vibrates his

12:55

chest with his low v neckx back

12:57

in the day and his spiky, gelled, crunchy

12:59

hair. She

13:03

had so much rhythm. She was relaxed, but yet

13:05

her foot, her foot placement was on

13:08

par she was on time.

13:11

There was different. There was never like a four

13:14

of like repetition of something except

13:16

for the botafogos. But there was a lot of content

13:19

and it was just the right mix of

13:21

making sure there was enough content in the samba,

13:23

spicing it up. But again,

13:25

when Stacy danced, she just looked

13:28

like it was very easy and effortless. So that's

13:30

why, like you know, when people used to watch

13:32

the show, especially back in that day, and

13:34

then they now, let's say, have joined, it

13:37

just is so much harder than what Stacy

13:39

is or what Stacy was

13:41

actually executing, which is

13:43

just more kudos to Stacy, but she is a

13:45

solid dancer. I'm telling you right now, if her

13:47

freestyle wasn't what it was, she would

13:50

have won the damn thing. I'm not even kidding. What

13:52

exactly do you vote for? Do you vote for their journey?

13:54

Do you vote for improvement? Because if you

13:57

vote for someone who has improved throughout

13:59

the common it wouldn't be Stacy. I feel like

14:01

she started out great and she ended great. I

14:04

think it would be true, honestly, And I

14:06

don't think Jerry Rice improved enough to

14:08

have him become like an underdog or anything

14:10

like that. But I think everyone thought Stacy

14:12

was going to win. So let's hear what the judges

14:15

have to say. I'm sure Bruno's drooling at

14:17

his seat at the moment,

14:19

but let's see. Bruno said, look,

14:21

at the end of the day, I in all five

14:23

seasons, So they're counting Strictly right, because

14:26

they had already I think must have judged three

14:28

seasons of Strictly Come Dancing, which is the version

14:30

of Dancing with the Stars in England, which it

14:32

all started there first. But he said, in

14:34

all five seasons, we've never seen anyone

14:37

so talented like you. You're gonna have choreographers

14:40

lining up for you as you move

14:42

forward in your career. Let's see the

14:44

next judge has to say. Lenn

14:46

said, you know, I have to say that

14:49

you have captivated my heart from

14:51

the moment you walked on to this dance floor up

14:53

until now, even

14:56

if there were fifty series,

14:58

which back then obviously we didn't know it was going to be that

15:01

long. But I wonder rest in peace, mister

15:03

Goodman if he still feels this way with

15:05

all the different contestants like Nicole Scherzinger,

15:08

all of them right that have been on the show. But

15:10

Len said, if we were to do fifty more seasons

15:12

of Dancing with the Stars, I don't think anyone will

15:14

be able to execute the

15:17

talent that you have and that you have brought

15:19

to this ballroom. So the judges

15:21

are all lovey. Obviously it's the last

15:23

dance, and Carrie Anne goes, it's not

15:26

just your physique, it's the way you move

15:28

and you are such an amazing

15:31

dancer, basically said you know, she wants

15:33

to thank Tony and Stacy for basically setting

15:35

the bar and setting the standard and

15:37

really making this into the competition

15:39

that it is tonight, and Stacy

15:42

just said, thank you. I just want to add, Stacey

15:44

was so happy and bubbly, and

15:47

you hear Tom bergeron say they liked it, They

15:49

really liked it. I think I forgot to

15:51

give my score for Tony and Stacy, but I

15:53

give them a ten, obviously, But

15:56

the judges gave Stacy and Tony a

15:58

perfect score three ten. Then

16:01

they basically did a teaser of Drew and I and

16:03

that makeup. Oh my god, I will never forget.

16:05

In the makeup chair, the head of makeup

16:07

at the time shout out to Shoshana, Hey

16:10

girl, if you're listening. I

16:12

told her, it's the last dance. I want you to put so

16:14

much glitter on my eyes that I can Basically

16:16

I can, I can't open them or something. I don't know

16:18

what I said, but I literally have way too much

16:21

makeup on. And fun fact, you guys,

16:23

I got my menstrual cycle

16:25

that day and I was wearing a two piece. I

16:28

still had my belly button earring

16:30

in my belly button obviously, which

16:32

was, oh my god. The backstory

16:34

on that I won't go into detail, but I

16:37

just remember like, actually

16:40

not feeling great, but what was getting

16:42

me through on top of just being fatigue

16:44

and tired, bloated wearing

16:47

literal it's not even a high waisted two piece.

16:49

It was like below the belly button, feeling

16:52

bloated, feeling like, oh my god, this

16:54

is going to be a disaster. Like it wasn't a

16:56

fun feel. If it were any other week, I would

16:58

have just been so oh agro

17:02

So I just thought i'd tell you the backstory. Okay,

17:05

So Samantha asks Stacy, do

17:07

you feel like you did everything in your power to

17:10

become Season two champion? She goes, look, at

17:12

the end of the day, we did everything we could do, and

17:15

all three couples deserve to

17:17

be here, and we're all champions, so it doesn't really

17:19

matter who gets the trophy. We're all winners. And

17:22

they got a total of eighty seven out

17:24

of ninety, right, because there were three finale

17:27

dances. Basically you had that first dance,

17:29

you had the freestyle, and now this last dance,

17:32

So that gives a total of eighty

17:34

seven out of ninety for Stacy

17:36

and Tony.

17:46

Now let's check out yours truly

17:49

Andrew Lache dancing a

17:51

jive that is, and also

17:54

you guys at home would still have this

17:56

time like for I believe this was over

17:59

us two days. It had to be right. So

18:01

this is the big finale. Everyone came back. They filled

18:03

the two hour or even three hour show who knows,

18:06

with past contestants from this season

18:08

doing a dance. I know they aired a bunch of

18:10

packages that I'm trying to find online

18:13

and for some reason, I can only find Me

18:15

and Drew's journey package. Anyway. Yeah,

18:18

so people still were voting, you know. So I

18:20

just remember my mom definitely

18:22

had multiple phone lines. I don't

18:24

I think she still had her business back then, her

18:26

company, so I'm pretty sure she had

18:28

a few of her Filipino nurses using those phone

18:31

lines, just saying I

18:33

don't know if it was email or only phone lines,

18:35

who knows. Anyway, there was a limit though,

18:37

you know. It wasn't like American Idol, where

18:39

you can vote as many times on

18:41

one phone number or on one phone

18:44

line as you wanted. Let's

18:46

watch Me and Drew's last

18:49

dance. Little did I know this

18:52

was never going to be our last dance because he went

18:54

on tour and we did this

18:56

freaking save a horse ride a cowboy one

18:59

too many times. Okay, at the very beginning

19:01

of this competition, I forgot to tell you guys, because

19:03

I forgot in general until I just saw his necklace

19:05

around his neck. But Wendy Johnson actually

19:08

shout out to Wendy again if you don't know who she is,

19:10

listened to the last few episodes. But she

19:12

suggested I give him like a little good luck charm. So

19:15

I did that with mostly every single partner over

19:18

the course of my twenty four partners I've

19:20

had. I would give him a little like something,

19:22

whether that be like a pendant, a necklace,

19:24

a bracelet, a little thing

19:27

that you tuck in your dance costumes. Like I'm

19:29

very superstitious,

19:31

I guess you can say. So I actually got

19:33

something for Drew which

19:36

was like a silver pendant of a

19:38

like a rectangle that may have said Drew

19:40

Crewe. Like my mom went crazy

19:43

with these shirts like I don't know who named

19:45

us officially Drew Crewe hence at rhymes.

19:47

But there were tank tops

19:49

made, they were t shirts made, there were hats. We had lots

19:52

of merchandise. I wish

19:54

I would have started my website back then. You

19:56

know what I'm saying. I could have had this freaking

19:59

soul to anyone and everyone

20:01

that wanted a Drew Cruise shirt. Anyway,

20:04

So we are in the beginning

20:06

of our package. You know, we basically

20:09

say that this is not going to stop us. Just because

20:12

we've got two perfect scores in a row,

20:14

that doesn't mean we're going to just sit back and not work.

20:17

As far as our last dance goes, which is the

20:19

jive. Then basically I

20:21

say, or Drew says, at the beginning

20:23

of our partnership, I took her to my

20:25

favorite Mexican restaurant. We

20:27

didn't name the name, but it was Casa Vega.

20:30

It's a very famous Mexican restaurant

20:32

in Los Angeles in Sherman Oaks, and

20:36

that was like our go to spot. We would walk from

20:38

I think the Tango Room was what that rehearsal

20:40

space was called. It was also in Sherman Oaks,

20:43

and we would like the worst thing,

20:45

you guys, is to like rehearse and then eat Mexican

20:47

food and then go back and rehearse. Like this's the last

20:49

thing you want to do on a heavy stomach. Hence why I

20:51

barely ate whenever I went there. But

20:55

so, yeah, so we are here in Casa

20:57

Vega, and we're probably there during

20:59

off hours, but it is so dark in that

21:01

restaurant that I'm shocked you can even

21:03

see us, but I'm sure there was. They brought lighting

21:05

the whole camera crew, but you

21:07

see us here eating or just

21:10

like reminiscing, and Drew

21:13

is currently or back then currently

21:15

was on baby Watch. So I telled Yourew,

21:17

get off your phone, and he's like, I'm on baby Watch,

21:19

right, So Leah was about to pop any

21:22

minute now. I was like, oh god, what are the

21:24

chances of our doing this as

21:27

we're prepping for this grand finale?

21:30

Okay, so I give him a little gift at

21:32

the restaurant and I'm like and it

21:34

cuts to my master interview, which I'm very eloquently

21:36

speaking, but these lines were fed. I probably

21:38

had to do it like at least twenty times

21:40

each because my delivery would always

21:43

just be so quiet and like

21:45

I would stumble over my words. But this was

21:47

like very I can tell this part

21:49

was scripted, but I basically said how it was bittersweet

21:52

and that I was really sad that this whole process,

21:54

in this whole competition and show was coming to an

21:57

end, because mind you you guys fun fact

21:59

hashtag bet yes, I thought I

22:01

was going to just go back to Harlem and go

22:03

back and just be

22:05

a ballroom dance competitor, because like we hadn't

22:07

we had no idea that this show was going to get

22:10

picked up for another season, and because

22:12

like you know, there were rumblings in

22:14

the background, like of other pros not

22:16

knowing basically not knowing our fate

22:18

if we're going to come back or not. And I didn't think

22:20

that they were going to ask me back because I had one Why

22:23

would they want to winner another like

22:25

pro to come back and try and win again, right

22:27

Like at the end of the day, I thought

22:29

they were just going to get rid of me, And so we

22:32

were all staying at the Palazzo or

22:34

for those that were out of town, which were most And

22:37

it's a basically like condos

22:39

that are located across the street from

22:41

The Grove, which is a shopping mall in Los Angeles,

22:44

and it's like the central location because you could

22:46

walk to CBS whatever. I had my Honda

22:48

Civic, as I had said in the

22:50

first episode of this season,

22:53

but it was I

22:56

had no idea, Like I knew that I took

22:58

my life back then, you guys, minute by minute,

23:01

day by day, dance by dance, all

23:03

I knew was that after this the finalists go

23:05

to New York to do press and then they fly us

23:08

back. And then I thought I was like, Okay, well,

23:10

I guess I'm gonna go back to New York. I

23:12

had no idea what was gonna happen.

23:14

Like if you would have asked me right

23:16

at that point, like what are you going to do after

23:19

the show? I remember

23:21

not being able to answer the question. I think I asked Drew

23:23

on the way home from New York

23:25

to LA, like do I hire

23:28

a publicist? Or like what do I

23:30

do? And this is when I

23:34

good old days. This is when I hired my

23:36

publicist bun fact that's still in

23:38

my life. Shout out to Sue Madore, who

23:41

is now Susan Meinsinger, but

23:44

she works at a publicity firm

23:46

called Gutman Associates and

23:48

now has definitely worked her way

23:51

up in the company and now runs the whole

23:53

freaking business,

23:55

you know. Shout out to Dick Gutman,

23:58

by the way, who has retired.

24:00

But anyway, I did it all backwards.

24:02

I didn't hire a dance agent or anything. I

24:05

first hired a publicist, which is odd you'd

24:07

be like, why would you hire a publicist during your off season.

24:09

I'm telling you, kids, anyone who's just starting,

24:12

that's my secret weapon, my second secret

24:14

weapon. The reason why I think I

24:16

became as popular as I did, maybe

24:18

is because of all of the different

24:20

events that you don't just get invited

24:23

to randomly, right, Like you don't just get a

24:25

text or an email come

24:27

to this red carpet event. No, you needed back then,

24:29

at least to hire a publicist, and she made

24:31

sure that I was just put out there and

24:34

seen even during the off season,

24:36

and that's when it counts. So in a way,

24:39

it was a godsend that I hired a publicist

24:41

before anything else, because yes, did I want other jobs,

24:43

Okay, yeah, sure, but I

24:46

really needed to use my

24:49

success from my first season and

24:51

just continue to stay as

24:53

visible as possible. And that's what Sue

24:55

did. Man. I went to every freaking red

24:58

carpet event. I started running out a clo Oh it

25:01

was a mess. And then I moved out of the palazzo

25:04

for a hot second.

25:07

And I remember I didn't have a business manager.

25:09

I wasn't great with money, to be quite

25:11

honest, Like I didn't know what I had versus

25:13

what I didn't have. I knew that me staying

25:16

at the palazzo was going to be way too

25:18

expensive, so I moved out with

25:20

a friend and only ended up staying there for a week,

25:22

and then I actually ended up moving back to the palazzo.

25:24

But I remember going to Ralph's, which is like the

25:26

equivalent of whatever local grocery

25:29

store you go to, and I couldn't

25:31

buy an apple. Yeah,

25:33

that's how shitty I was past

25:35

tense with money. Fun fact,

25:38

that is a hashtag capital B,

25:40

capital T capital s for you. Anyho,

25:43

Let me finish watching our package,

25:46

and our package ends on a suspenseful

25:49

clip of basically at

25:52

the end. I don't know why we would do this at the end,

25:54

but I guess saved the tricks

25:56

for the end. Who knows in the give you

25:58

know when the guy jumps over the girl's head well like

26:00

you can see or if you are rewatching

26:03

or whatever, if you know us.

26:06

Drew's not that much taller than me, nor

26:08

is his legs much longer. If

26:11

anything, maybe my legs might be a little longer.

26:14

And that is definitely not something I say

26:16

a lot, because my legs are definitely

26:18

shorter than my torso since my dance

26:21

coach pointed that out back in the day quite often.

26:23

Anyway, he jumps over my head

26:25

and there's this whole thing like is he gonna make

26:28

it? Is she? And then like we

26:30

also, I guess when we were doing another

26:32

trick, I completely fell because

26:34

Drew didn't get me through his legs

26:37

anyway. So I

26:39

say at the end, and mind you, my interviews

26:42

were freaking popping that last

26:44

interview because it was more me than

26:46

Drew when they showed like

26:48

clips of the master interview basically explaining

26:51

our rehearsal week, and I

26:54

say, we're going to pull out all the stops and is

26:57

he going to be able to do this? At the end of a jive,

26:59

your exhausted. The last thing you want to do is

27:01

jump over someone's head without any type

27:03

of like As

27:05

far as him starting on the walkway, he's not starting

27:08

on the walkway. He's starting on the dance floor where we're ending

27:10

basically, so he's literally jumping

27:13

clearing he has to clear my head, jump

27:16

open his legs into a mini split and

27:19

land. So the

27:21

orchestra I'm so sorry, but

27:24

I mean I still love them, and I still think

27:26

they should be on part of the show along with

27:28

the band. I'm not saying it's either or, but

27:31

they messed up our song royally,

27:33

like to the point where we didn't

27:35

I guess we didn't hear the clicks or whatever

27:38

it was. Anyway, the point is is that Drew

27:40

danced off lyrics. I dance

27:43

off counts. That's normal with celebrities

27:45

and pros, right, Like, unless you are a dancer,

27:47

there's no such thing as counting. It makes no sense

27:49

to you. So he was dancing off the lyrics.

27:51

They forgot the lyrics, Like you could blatantly

27:54

hear it. You have to rewatch

27:57

this because it starts out

27:59

with a nothing hand done

28:02

whatever the lyric is next, and they didn't.

28:04

They forgot to say it, so it mess

28:07

Drew up for the first like three quarters

28:09

I would say it because then it's a downworld,

28:12

downward spiral, right, So

28:14

it's like what happened was that

28:16

he just he

28:18

went blank and then like I know, Drew,

28:20

he gets in his head and then it just is

28:23

hard to get out of the funk. But he was able

28:25

to get out of it. The last

28:28

part of the routine, like the last

28:30

what ten seconds, Both tricks he nailed

28:33

and it was like the last impression is what really

28:35

counts. But still, if the judges weren't

28:37

on this, like you know, lovey

28:40

train, which I'm sure they were instructed

28:43

to be, but per the executives, you

28:45

know they I'm shocked they didn't call us out.

28:48

But honestly, the jive could have been better.

28:50

Our first time we did the jive, when

28:52

I was wearing that black fringe dress. I think it was another

28:55

Elvis Presley song. It was way better,

28:57

to be quite honest. The jive itself was

28:59

solid, but it really mess with Drew

29:01

and I could tell Drew was pissed.

29:03

He was not happy. You heard

29:05

even him and Tom exchange words, or you heard

29:07

Tom's reaction, him saying like I know, I

29:10

know, I know that happened, but he was

29:12

not happy. He was also I'm

29:14

actually surprised to see Leah in the audience, though I know she

29:16

should obviously be there, but if she was, if he

29:18

was on baby watch, you would think maybe she was watching

29:20

from her hospital bed. But you can

29:22

also tell that both of them, meaning

29:25

his brother Nick Lache and Leah,

29:27

they were also like a little worried that

29:29

Drew was about to who knows,

29:31

he was pissed, Like I almost thought Drew was going

29:33

to throw in the towel midway into

29:36

our routine. Like, if this were not live,

29:39

I'm pretty sure even like with tape shows,

29:41

they ask you to still finish what you're doing,

29:43

he would have stopped if this was a taped

29:45

show. But it's live. Thank god

29:48

he understood that part of it at least.

29:50

But it was so sad to see

29:52

that because like, it's our last dance. But I'm

29:54

not blaming anybody were human.

29:56

It happened, and I wish it wouldn't have had

29:58

affected Drew the way it affected him,

30:00

because it was our last dance,

30:03

and I just kept smiling and you didn't see

30:05

it for me, Like I could tell Drew

30:07

was just so pissed. He was not happy,

30:10

mind you, he's also exhausted and on

30:12

baby watch, and there's so many emotions

30:14

running through our bodies at this moment, and

30:17

we're like we can taste the mirror ball from

30:19

here. But after that dance, for

30:21

sure, I thought we were never gonna

30:23

not even not even close to

30:26

being a mirror Ball champion at

30:28

that point. Then what

30:31

was interesting was after the judge's

30:33

comments, so the judges basically all

30:35

in all, the summary of that was like, how

30:38

you know he was basically the person

30:41

with the so much fire. Lynn

30:43

said, you know, not just you, but

30:46

to all the pros you've done in an outstanding

30:48

job. Carrie and said, you guys always

30:50

have surprised me when you guys were dancing,

30:53

like you never knew what

30:55

was gonna come out of you guys,

30:57

like you always kept exciting

31:00

and made this competition so

31:02

exciting. And Lynn

31:05

said, you have so much passion and energy

31:07

when you dance. And Bruno said, you

31:09

know you are just so reliable, like

31:11

you never made us feel

31:13

like we were on the edge of our seats,

31:16

but we were in a good way, is what

31:18

he was saying, all in all, not verbatim.

31:20

And then afterwards Tom said, all

31:23

this couple needs in order to make it

31:26

into first place out of

31:28

the three places. So in order for us

31:30

to have made it to first

31:33

place with the judges' scores, that is all

31:35

we needed to get was a twenty seven. So

31:38

I can tell you this much. We definitely didn't

31:41

get a perfect score, which I know Drew

31:43

was kicking himself for see,

31:46

this is the thing when if he were

31:48

an athlete, this would have

31:50

not faced him one bit. He would

31:52

have just shrugged it off. He would have

31:54

let it go, and he would have just continued right

31:56

after that one mess up, whether it was

31:58

the band, or whether it was the orchestra, Harold

32:01

Wheeler and his orchestra, or whether it was the

32:03

actual person who messed up. See,

32:07

this is the thing with Emmett. Like nothing.

32:09

It wasn't perfect. He messed up a lot, but he

32:11

never let it get to him to the point

32:13

where it just went from

32:16

a disaster into more of a disaster. You

32:18

just need to let it go, like

32:20

the Disney song let it Go. Yeah.

32:22

So let's hear our scores. So

32:26

our final score of the season and for our

32:28

last dance, three nines, which

32:30

gave us a total of twenty seven out of thirty. I

32:32

have never heard anyone boo

32:35

as loud as this live audience

32:37

that night. They just kept I mean

32:39

from the Red room, you can hear it like I don't remember

32:41

it, but I'm telling you right now as I'm watching

32:43

it, the boos were insanity.

32:46

Compare like Samantha was screaming at us in the Red

32:48

room. You guys have to look at least just look at this dance,

32:50

because I'm telling you, all sorts

32:53

of emotions were happening, true looks constipated,

32:55

So that means that he definitely has

32:57

zero hope going into this final

33:01

placement when it comes to who the Mirror World

33:03

Champs are. But uh,

33:05

yeah, this is a shocker, Like it really

33:08

sucked, Like we both felt it. Even

33:10

though I had a smile on my face. I think

33:12

I was just delirious from all the advil I

33:14

was taking that day. Who knows, and of

33:16

course the whole season just being exhausted,

33:19

right, But it

33:22

sucks not to end on a high note, like we

33:24

were so solid the first two dances that we

33:26

were kind of like, how could we not get a perfect

33:28

score? But I wouldn't have given it a perfect score

33:30

either, to be quite honest, there was like seven mess

33:33

ups in the first three quarters

33:35

of the routine. Drew

33:37

liche God, get over it.

33:39

It's one mess up and it was a close up of his face.

33:42

Like this is what I say to any future contestants

33:45

signing up for the show. If you mess up, highly

33:48

likely the camera's not on you anyway, or

33:51

if it is, it's all close up of your face,

33:53

and your face can't mess up. But what it can do

33:55

is turn a round upside down, and that's not what we want

33:57

to do, especially when dancing a jive. Take

34:00

the note it is of value.

34:03

Let's see and hear what

34:05

our interview is like with Samantha Harris,

34:08

and see if Drew finally comes clean and says

34:10

that he's so pissed off at

34:12

that moment. Hold on, okay,

34:15

you guys, so many feels are happening right

34:17

now throughout my body. I now

34:20

know why we won. Okay,

34:31

I think we won because we got the pity

34:33

vote weirdly enough, right like

34:35

if we would have gotten a perfect score, I'm not

34:37

so sure the votes would be out of control, but you could

34:39

hear it. See, the live audience is

34:41

definitely something

34:45

that people should listen to because

34:48

they are the general public. So

34:50

the boos were so loud that we had to Samantha

34:52

stop mid sentence, and Drew made

34:55

a body like his body language was basically

34:57

him looking over his shoulder because they wouldn't stop yelling

34:59

boo like. It was worse

35:02

than I mean, like in a but good for us,

35:04

but they were so mad at the judges.

35:07

They were angry, they were not taking

35:09

it. They were not happy with us

35:11

getting three nines instead of the perfect score

35:13

that they I guess thought that we should have gotten,

35:15

but I, you know, I

35:18

can't just like not see

35:20

what I saw. And at the end of the day, we're lucky

35:22

we got three nines and not an eight. To be quite

35:24

honest, like I if I were a judge judging

35:27

that, i'd be I would have to point it out regardless,

35:29

because like, how do you go from compliment This is the

35:31

problem. They still do this to this day.

35:34

They say all these amazing like

35:36

the feedback's amazing, They're full of

35:38

compliments. Nine Like that doesn't

35:40

match what you're saying. I don't care

35:43

if it's the final, the premiere,

35:46

it doesn't matter. You need to match

35:48

the score to your comments. So

35:51

if they would have been like all yummy,

35:53

gushy yum, like positive, like what

35:55

they've been doing, love love love, and then if

35:57

they would have just said each of them

36:00

like it is what it is, it's this

36:02

is the beauty of a live show, I don't think the

36:04

booze would have been so loud. But it worked in our favor,

36:06

you guys, because I think because they were

36:08

so pissed off means that people

36:10

at home were pissed off, which meant, guess

36:13

what we're getting more votes. The

36:15

psychology that is untold on Dancing

36:18

with the Stars, You're going to hear it here for the first

36:20

time, on sexizes and spray tands. I'm no psychologists,

36:23

but I've been in enough therapy sessions to

36:25

know that much. Okay, okay, any

36:28

who Drew also

36:30

became mister America were here with his

36:32

answers, which saved his ass,

36:35

meaning saved his ass from

36:37

me kicking it outside

36:39

CBS and onto the curb, because

36:42

what Samantha asked was like, how would you feel

36:44

like do you do? Do you feel like you deserve to win

36:46

the maor ball basically, and Drew was like, not

36:49

not as much as the other two competitors,

36:53

you know, he said, not as much as Jerry or Stacey.

36:55

We've all worked so hard, We've sacrificed

36:57

so much. And then he also another

37:00

hint, hint, any future celebs

37:03

listening, you need

37:05

to always acknowledge

37:07

your pro partner. It is important

37:10

because we are the backbone to

37:12

your journey, and

37:14

whether we get help or not is irrelevant.

37:16

At the end of the day, we are everything

37:18

to these celebrities. We are their wardrobe designers,

37:21

their creative. You

37:23

know, team We are their psychologists,

37:26

their life coach, their

37:29

support system, and their dance teacher

37:32

comes last honestly, so

37:34

you know, we get them through such a vulnerable

37:37

experience. That Drew

37:39

said it perfectly, like, I don't deserve

37:42

this trophy as

37:44

much as Cheryl deserves this trophy. Honestly,

37:46

She's worked so hard. This has been a huge

37:49

platform for the ballroom dancing community,

37:52

and she deserves it just as much as I deserve

37:54

it. And Heller vote,

37:57

Vote Vote. My fingers would have gone

38:00

crazy if I had a phone

38:02

in my hand at during that time. I don't

38:04

think I ever voted for myself, mind you, until

38:06

like the last few seasons of my time on the show.

38:09

Anyway, Let's see

38:11

who wins the Mirror Ball. Oh ps,

38:14

we had a total score of eighty seven out of ninety,

38:16

which is the same exact

38:18

score as Dacy Keibler and Tony Develani.

38:21

So we are tied at the top with

38:24

both couples. The ones that they

38:26

just literally the producers

38:28

made sure that we were going head to head from like

38:30

mid season up until now, who's

38:33

going to take home the Mirror Ball trophy and

38:36

who's not? Before I announced

38:38

the mirror Ball champ and we hear that

38:41

nerve wracking heartbeat that makes my

38:43

heart want to jump out of my chest and slap

38:45

somebody. Let's go down memory

38:48

lane with a bonus recap

38:50

of me rewatching

38:53

basically our journey Julia

38:55

Schet and your shruly Shechryl

38:57

Burke. Let's watch it now. It

38:59

is seven minute long package link

39:03

in our bio. Okay, make sure you guys go

39:05

there to see all the episodes.

39:07

I have personally linked everything

39:09

so that anybody and everybody can

39:12

rewatch whatever I'm recapping.

39:14

It's easy to find. You just need to go to the

39:16

ad sex License spray Tans Instagram

39:18

page. Go to the link that you see

39:21

in our bio, which is right under our avatar

39:23

that picture of me in that red Flamenco

39:26

dress or posit double a dress. Click

39:28

the link and there you have it.

39:30

You have it all in order, perfectly

39:33

described, written and linked just

39:36

for you. You're welcome. Okay.

39:38

So I guess they showed this as we were

39:40

standing there on the dance floor. So I

39:43

paused it because it's only two minutes in and

39:45

they just finished our journey package. I thought for some reason

39:47

it was seven minutes long. But it's only two minutes, so I'm assuming

39:49

they're going to go through the rest of the couples. But

39:52

it was so emotional. Oh my goodness,

39:54

I basically, you know, say how

39:56

talented. Which shocked me about Drew was how

39:58

talented he was and what a performer

40:01

he was all in all. I

40:03

also say that after our first rehearsal,

40:05

I thought we were going to be the first couple to go home. Shows

40:08

you how optimistic I was. Still

40:10

I am the same person. By the way, any who then

40:14

Drew basically says that I brought out this fire

40:16

in him, and what surprised him most was just really

40:19

getting into this show and getting

40:21

into each individual dance and the character

40:23

that it was bringing out of him,

40:26

and how it just shocked him every time he performed

40:28

live. And like I've said before, like he was

40:30

definitely a performer. He was not one

40:32

to perform in the rehearsal space,

40:35

let alone even dress rehearsal. He fed

40:37

off these people in the live audience. So

40:39

thank you to anyone who watched us live, because

40:41

you just lit a fire under my partners

40:45

behind, if you know what I mean. Anyway,

40:48

I get really emotional because like they

40:50

do this where like they say they we

40:52

so basically we do our master interview, so that

40:54

interview that you see us each individually

40:57

do that. They cut to during our packages as

40:59

we explain what our week was like, and they show

41:01

clips that's normally done like

41:03

solo, right, like each individual person

41:05

does this, and then at the

41:07

end back in the day, they had us do it

41:10

together. And then I became super emotional because

41:12

our producer who was with us, I

41:14

would say, for the most of the season,

41:16

if not all of the season, but he

41:19

or she I forgot who it was, but they

41:22

say they said to me, would

41:24

you like to say any last words to Drew?

41:27

And so they made me turn to him, and then I just freaking

41:29

broke down in tears. And as I was watching

41:31

this because after that wrapped,

41:34

and me basically saying, I just want to thank

41:36

you so much for this amazing experience.

41:38

You have changed my life forever.

41:41

I'm still getting chills. Oh my god.

41:44

They cut to us standing there

41:46

with Jerry, Rice and Anya. I'm

41:49

not sure where Stacey and Tony are, but I

41:51

am pretty sure I'm watching this all

41:53

ass backwards, so knowing

41:56

the final placement, I believe

41:58

you know, obviously Stacy and

42:00

Tony came in third place, so the last two

42:02

couples were left, and that's when they showed the

42:05

last two couples journey packages.

42:07

That is, so there you have

42:09

it, there's third place. So third place was Stacy

42:11

and Tony. I'm pretty sure they were very upset,

42:14

but still, like they said, it doesn't

42:16

matter who won, everyone was a champion,

42:19

hoping that that's really truly

42:21

how they felt. Anyway,

42:24

So yeah, then you it cuts to

42:26

me live standing there with Drew, Jerry, and Anya

42:28

next to Tom in front of the judges, like

42:30

where we get our comments, and

42:32

I'm crying. I am crying,

42:34

ugly crying. You need to watch it, Okay,

42:37

let me continue watching this. Whoa

42:40

you guys? They need to leave this much time

42:42

for the winners because and runner

42:45

up because the amount of time. Okay,

42:47

so they gave five minutes because I'm looking

42:49

at the timecode here, So the first

42:51

two minutes or first two minutes and twenty

42:54

seconds maybe was our journey package,

42:56

meaning they had already aired. I'm

42:58

pretty sure they had already shown Jerry and Anya's

43:01

but they

43:03

left a solid five and a half minutes

43:06

to not only announce the winner and runner

43:09

up, but to then have the co host Samantha

43:11

Harris full On asked

43:14

Jerry and Anya two questions and then

43:17

cut to Tom asking us

43:19

how we felt winning. Let

43:22

me tell you, first of all we

43:25

were. I mean, I think I literally

43:27

had an outer body experience because I was so

43:30

first, so so dark. Thank you Nadash for making

43:32

me so tan. No wonder people think I'm

43:34

Balazian just saying but

43:37

like, I jumped up so high. I didn't

43:39

know I could jump that high in my life, but I'm pretty

43:41

sure, like to be all in all transparency.

43:43

Once Stacy and Tony were

43:46

announced that they were third, I

43:48

think there was a little bit of hope lingering.

43:51

Drew literally has a poker

43:53

face, like I don't think he showed

43:55

any excitement except for when the mic was in

43:57

his space and he was like when Tom asked how do

43:59

you feel? And he was like, WHOA? This

44:02

was when like Tom Cruise jumped on Oprah's

44:04

couch when he announced his engagement

44:06

to Katie Holmes or whoever it was, who knows

44:09

that whole famous infamous jump

44:11

on the couch moment when and then he started

44:13

screaming when he did the Oprah Winfrey Show.

44:16

That's basically what he was re enacting for anyone

44:19

who was interested in knowing why. Drew

44:21

couldn't put words to his excitement

44:24

and he just yelled, mind

44:26

you, I freaking said something like because the mic

44:28

was in my face. When Tom was like, how do you feel? And I was like, oh

44:30

my god, I'm in shock, which was also

44:33

kind of negative.

44:35

It's like, I like in shock, like we deserve

44:37

it, but I was in shock, honestly.

44:40

And when they announced their names, oh my god,

44:42

we were just so happy. They

44:45

cut to obviously Nick and

44:47

his wife Leah, they embraced.

44:49

It was like a beautiful moment. Also,

44:52

I think Jerry and Anya, I think safe to say

44:54

that they were shocked that they were even there, which

44:57

means that the votes for Stacy and Tony weren't

44:59

high at all. It wouldn't have mattered. I

45:01

think, you know, every as far as people

45:03

who see the votes like they must

45:06

have known like it doesn't matter what we give whomever,

45:08

because it's pretty much what it

45:11

was going to be. Like Jerry clearly got.

45:13

I would say if Jerry and Drew tied

45:15

in scores, we would have lost hands

45:18

down because of the votes, you

45:20

guys, every vote accounts. I still believe that wholeheartedly

45:23

anyway. But what

45:25

I love is that they winner,

45:28

right, the mirror Ball champions. Another

45:30

funny thing that I'm remembering as I'm talking

45:33

is when he

45:35

announced the winner and then Tom interviewed us,

45:37

and then afterwards, Tom goes, come on,

45:39

come get your you know, mirror

45:42

ball trophy, and then Drew must have given

45:44

Tom a look and Tom goes, come on, it's pretty.

45:47

It's great because fun

45:49

fact, for those of you that haven't heard me say this,

45:52

our mirror ball trophies were made out of lampshades.

45:55

Season two and three, the two seasons I win.

45:58

Hence why my mirrors on my mirror

46:00

ball fell slowly but surely,

46:03

almost all off the styrofoam

46:05

ball that was placed

46:07

and glued onto a post of

46:09

the lamp shade. Okay, the like

46:12

actual shaft of it. Any

46:14

who, everyone's so offended

46:16

that I threw it one away. I don't know if it was season

46:19

I don't think it was season three. It was season

46:21

two because the one that my mom has. My mom

46:23

of course took one, thank god she did, because she's

46:25

like polishes it every day, I swear. But thanks

46:27

Mama Burke and she has in her ballroom

46:30

where Jerry and Anya rehearsed. Any who.

46:33

Anyway, yeah,

46:35

my look, it was a cheap mirror ball.

46:37

Nowadays you know they actually have substance,

46:40

and there's it's glitterally, it's glittery,

46:42

sparkly rhinestones everywhere,

46:45

mirrors that are double glued so

46:47

they don't fall off one by one. And I highly

46:49

doubt it's or I know it's not made out of

46:51

a lamp shade. It was kind of like an inside

46:54

insider joke. Okay, hashtag

46:56

BTS for life. Anyway, then,

46:59

not only do you see us

47:02

like hold the trophy, mind you, they

47:04

only brought out one trophy. There wasn't two trophies

47:07

like you see now. They also you saw everyone

47:09

come on and hug us and like the

47:11

rest of the couples came on the floor. We all

47:14

embraced Jerry. You even saw Jerry try

47:16

to intercept the mirror ball from Drew Lache's

47:19

hand, and it was so funny. You

47:21

even had a closing with Tom and Samantha

47:23

saying thank you guys so much. Drew and Cheryl

47:25

wouldn't have been here if it weren't for your votes at home,

47:27

see you next time, like now,

47:30

like I will never forget watching Charlie and

47:32

Mark freakin' win. Then

47:34

it cuts to credits or even last season's

47:36

winners. I couldn't even tell you who won.

47:39

That's how my memory. Oh my goodness.

47:41

Anyway, it is so fast,

47:43

right like it does it like you work so hard

47:46

and if you're only going to get a cheap

47:48

mirror ball trophy, at least give us some time

47:51

to like really embrace it, and at least

47:53

give the audience at home time to really

47:55

they're part of our journey just as much, you

47:58

know, to really at least watch the

48:00

interaction, the camaraderie, the

48:03

celebration, instead of rolling

48:05

the credits as soon as they announce our names

48:07

basically or whoever the winner was last

48:09

season. Anyway, it's deserved.

48:12

You guys need to shorten, like whatever

48:14

it is you need to cut from the

48:16

finale episode to make

48:18

sure that you leave at least five to seven

48:21

minutes to really take your

48:23

time to interview the

48:25

runner up, the first place couple, to

48:27

show just how

48:30

happy everyone is, and to really like

48:32

make it a celebration. It is vital

48:35

because it's like people are pissed off about it, Okay,

48:38

so change it because we work our asses

48:40

off and it's deserved for

48:42

everyone at home too. I

48:45

love you guys so much. Thank you for going down memory

48:47

lane with me. Season two's Rewatch

48:50

is officially a rap, so

48:52

on that note, I just wanted to let all of my listeners

48:54

know that we are pausing the Rewatch series

48:57

until season thirty three starts,

48:59

which, though it has officially been announced

49:01

as to win next season premieres, I'm sure

49:03

it'll start sometime in the fall, which

49:05

is just around the corner. So I will continue

49:08

doing the interview portion and headline series

49:10

here on the podcast, which means you still

49:13

will hear all new episodes

49:15

twice a week. Love you guys so much,

49:17

and as always, if you love this podcast

49:19

and want it to continue after season thirty

49:22

three, make sure you rate and review anywhere

49:24

you're currently listening to this episode. Thank

49:26

you for your continued support, and make sure

49:29

to listen to this week's Headlines and Hot

49:31

Topics episode dropping this Friday.

49:33

Make sure to check out my interview with one of

49:36

my first ever ballroom dance teachers,

49:38

who became an OG on the first season of Dancing

49:40

with the stars, my friend Jonathan Roberts

49:42

As this is a conversation you won't want to miss.

49:45

I promise you that until next time,
