0:42
Hi. I'm Sandra Champlain. For
0:45
over twenty five years, I've been
0:47
on a journey to prove the existence
0:49
of life after death. On each
0:51
episode, we'll discuss the reasons
0:54
we now know that our loved
0:56
ones have survived physical debt, and
0:58
so will we. Welcome
1:01
to Shades of the Afterlife. Day
1:03
sixty two, August twenty
1:05
first, two thousand and eleven.
1:08
The usual ache in my stomach comes
1:10
and goes again. The sadness is
1:12
brief, but is a regular morning
1:15
visitor. So many things I wanted
1:17
to do with my sons. I know they
1:19
are still with me and they see me and
1:21
they share in my joys, but it still
1:23
hurts. Today's journey
1:26
to the Upper Realm. I went into
1:28
the meadow to the well and dropped
1:30
some sand into the well. I turned
1:32
and walked with black panther up
1:34
the path to the cliff, then onto
1:36
the cloud to the upper Realm and into
1:39
the garden clearing. The boys
1:41
were standing off to the right. I
1:43
started crying with emotion. The
1:45
boys came to me and put their arms
1:47
around me, Kyle on the left,
1:50
Shan on the right. We walked
1:52
arms around each other to the table.
1:55
Kyle scooted in first, then me, then
1:57
Sean. They started eating leeche nuts,
2:00
peeling them, holding them up, and then popping
2:02
them into their mouths. I told them
2:04
I miss you so much. I wish you were
2:06
with me, or that I could stay here with you.
2:09
You will be with us, mom, and you know
2:12
that we are always with you. I
2:14
cried, and they both said it's okay,
2:16
Mom. They held me, Kyle
2:18
stroking my hair and face, saying it's
2:21
okay, Mom. I love you. I
2:23
love you so much. I said,
2:26
you guys are always together, right. I
2:28
want to know that you're always together taking
2:31
care of each other. Yes, mom,
2:33
we are always together. Me and Kyle
2:35
are meant to be together all of the time,
2:37
so you don't ever have to worry about us.
2:40
But we worry about you. I
2:42
know, honey, But I'm getting stronger
2:44
every day. We know, mom,
2:48
My guide. Michael came over and said
2:50
it's time to go. I kissed
2:52
Kyle, holding his face in my hands.
2:55
He smiled at me. I love you,
2:57
mom. I love you too.
2:59
Baby.
3:00
Sean scooted out then hugged me
3:02
tightly. We're going to stay here for a
3:04
little while, mom. As I walked away
3:06
from the table, the boys were sitting there
3:08
enjoying their fruit. Michael put
3:10
his arm around me. As I cried, The
3:13
boys called out, don't cry, mom,
3:15
it's okay. I called back, Okay,
3:18
honey, I know, I'm ok I
3:21
love you. Michael helped me on
3:23
to a cloud and held my hand. He
3:25
said, they will always be here
3:28
for you. Those words are
3:30
from Maria pay, a mom who
3:32
endured unimaginable pain that
3:34
no person should ever go through. On
3:37
June twenty first, twenty eleven,
3:39
Maria's ex husband gave
3:42
her young teen sons sleeping
3:44
pills. He killed them, and
3:46
then he shot himself for
3:49
anyone dealing with severe grief and
3:51
not sure that you have the strength to make
3:54
it through, Maria's words today
3:56
will surely give you some strength and power.
3:59
On this episode, Maria
4:01
will share her journey, her evidence
4:03
that her boys have survived physical death,
4:06
words on forgiveness, soul growth,
4:09
and ways to keep on going. Maria
4:11
journaled her experience these
4:13
daily meditations. She used
4:16
the signs she's received as
4:18
well as experiences with mediums
4:20
in her book, Journey to the Upper
4:22
Realm How I Survived
4:24
the deaths of my sons and
4:27
learned to communicate with them on the other
4:29
side. You can read the book

4:47
with you the conversation I
4:49
just had with Maria yesterday.
4:52
My journey It Lily begins in
4:55
twenty eleven. At the time,
4:57
I had divorced from my then
5:00
husband and he was
5:02
the father of my two children, Sean
5:05
and Kyle, at the time that they
5:07
were fifteen and thirteen years old,
5:10
and we had a shared custody
5:13
and basically the boys split their time
5:15
between us. It was on June
5:18
twenty first, twenty eleven,
5:20
that my ex husband,
5:23
their father took their
5:25
lives, both of them, and
5:27
then took his own. And
5:29
I discovered this on the morning of June
5:32
twenty second, and that was really
5:34
when I guess I started my journey, or
5:37
the world kind of cracked open for me.
5:40
Did you hear it on the radio or the news that something
5:42
had happened in the town that they were saying.
5:45
I was actually getting ready for work
5:47
at my home. They had obviously been staying
5:49
with their father, who lived about five miles
5:51
away. I was just getting ready
5:53
to leave the house, and I just caught something on the
5:55
news that caught my attention, which
5:58
was just a picture of the neighborhood
6:01
with some police tape up and
6:04
the reporters saying that there has been a
6:06
murder suicide. So
6:09
I just stopped me in my tracks, and I
6:12
don't know, I guess somehow
6:14
spirit knows there's something happening.
6:17
So I started making phone calls, calling
6:20
both of my sons, my ex
6:22
husband's phone, and of course nobody answering.
6:24
So I just got in my car and
6:27
drove straight there and arrived.
6:30
They had the police tape up and
6:32
I just said, please, please tell me it's not my
6:35
son's That's what I said. And they
6:37
asked me my name and my son's names,
6:40
and they said there's
6:42
been some deaths, and that's when I just
6:45
collapsed to the ground. It
6:47
was a strange need to feel
6:49
earth at that moment. And
6:52
that was really the things,
6:55
obviously on the material world that occurred
6:58
that propelled me of the
7:00
journey that I went on and
7:02
I'm still on.
7:04
We are on these journeys and awful
7:07
to say that sometimes our darkest
7:09
moments help us to believe in
7:11
a bigger picture. At the time,
7:13
did you believe in the afterlife for your spiritual
7:16
at all?
7:17
I can't say that I was. I
7:20
was very much enmeshed in
7:23
the material world, focusing
7:25
on achievement, accomplishment,
7:28
success, the same thing for my
7:30
kids. All I was thinking about was working.
7:33
At the time. I was working for the County
7:35
of San Diego. I was a trained
7:37
attorney, so everything was
7:40
logical and rational for me, and
7:42
so I don't want to say that I didn't believe
7:45
in the afterlife, but I didn't have a focus
7:47
there. That was not where my attention
7:49
was, So it really didn't
7:52
know where to go. After this event
7:54
occurred, I was just numb
7:58
and shocked and also just didn't
8:00
know how to solve this problem
8:02
that had occurred. So that's
8:05
when I had to really
8:07
just open myself up and
8:10
start trusting the intuition
8:13
and the spirit and the soul within
8:15
to lead me in a direction
8:17
where I could continue.
8:21
There's nothing worse than grief. And I
8:23
heard you say it's like love inside
8:25
out, just.
8:26
Ringing the love cloth dry
8:29
over and over again. The more we
8:31
love, the more painful it is.
8:33
So from the bottom of all of our hearts,
8:35
we send our love to you. I
8:38
know time has passed, but I
8:40
also know how grief works, and
8:42
it's a mess that can get triggered and
8:44
all those things.
8:45
Sandra, I really look at it differently
8:48
now. Grief to me is such a gift
8:50
because it really is a
8:52
reflection of the love
8:55
that we have for our children
8:57
and for others. And so when I
8:59
feel like coming on, which is not that
9:02
often anymore, even though I
9:04
guess I carry it around with me and
9:06
sometimes it will bubble to the surface
9:09
or leak or something
9:11
will trigger it. But I look
9:13
at it as a reminder to
9:15
me of the love that I
9:17
share with my sons that I shared with them.
9:19
I continue to share with them and will
9:22
continue until I
9:24
can reunite with them again. I tell
9:26
people, when the grief comes, really
9:29
try to embrace it, really let
9:31
it come in, because that is just
9:33
love in another form.
9:35
Yeah, it is. I said this
9:37
at the very beginning. But Sean and Kyle
9:39
imagine fund dot com. You're so generous
9:42
that people can click on the PDF and read your
9:44
book. There's so much to you and
9:46
your story and the boys that I really encourage
9:49
people to take Maria up on
9:51
that offer.
9:52
And it's the boys were the ones that really
9:54
prompted me, pushed me to
9:56
write the book, and so
9:59
it's out there for anybody
10:01
that wants to read it that it
10:03
can help you. You don't have to pay
10:05
for it on the website. You can just download it if you
10:07
like. But it's certainly a gift that
10:10
I am bringing or like
10:12
to give to others and help them along
10:15
on their journey.
10:16
Thank you for that. Where did you begin
10:18
on the spiritual journey? Did you find
10:21
someone? Did you know about meditation?
10:24
Someone help you along on the journey
10:27
to believing? Yes?
10:28
And I still have very strong memories
10:31
of this I remember probably
10:34
two or three weeks after my sons had
10:36
passed, we had had the memorial service.
10:39
I'm just sitting at my desk at home,
10:41
in my house and just
10:44
at a loss as to what now,
10:46
well, what do I do now? And as
10:48
I was sitting there, I just had this thought
10:51
pop into my head and it was call
10:54
Marsie. And I
10:57
remembered that one of my friends, Shannon,
11:00
and her sister was Marcie.
11:02
And I actually never met Marcy
11:04
before I knew of her, and
11:06
so I contacted Shannon, I said,
11:09
I need to talk to your sister, and
11:11
come to find out that Marcy
11:14
was a shaman, and so I
11:16
ended up coordinating with her and
11:19
spent about a week with her at
11:21
her home. She was so generous and she didn't
11:23
tell me later she checked in with her guides
11:26
to make sure that this was supposed to happen.
11:29
And I spent a week with her what
11:31
I call spiritual boot camp,
11:33
and she taught me how to meditate,
11:36
how to journey, do a
11:38
shamanic journey to meet my
11:40
sons so I could actually
11:43
talk to them and connect with them again.
11:46
Something like divine guidance leading
11:48
me to work with Marcy and
11:51
It helped me to just
11:53
develop this aspect of myself, that the
11:55
intuitive aspect that all of us
11:57
have.
11:57
It.
11:57
It's just a matter of opening yourself up
12:00
up and suspending disbelief.
12:02
I guess for a bit and just go with it,
12:04
even if you think that
12:06
it might not be real. I
12:09
certainly was very skeptical as well
12:12
about these things, and it took me a
12:14
lot to really get to the point
12:16
of being able to go
12:19
even beyond believing that there's
12:22
something much more than what's on the physical
12:24
side of our experience.
12:26
So through the journey and you've been able to connect
12:29
with the boys.
12:30
Yes, Marcy started me on something
12:33
very simple, and she
12:35
said, just go sit outside
12:37
wherever it is, sit outside, close
12:39
your eyes, and just focus
12:41
on listening.
12:43
It's time for our first break. But I promise

14:05
Welcome back to Shades of the Afterlife.
14:07
I'm Sandra Champlain here with
14:10
Maria Pey, whose boys were
14:12
tragically taken from her. I
14:14
asked her about the advice she got from
14:17
Marcie, a shaman, and if
14:19
she's been able to journey and reconnect
14:21
with her sons.
14:23
Yes, Marcie started me on something
14:25
very simple, and she said, just
14:28
go sit outside wherever
14:30
it is, sit outside, close your eyes
14:32
and just focus on listening, listening
14:35
to whatever's out there. It could be a bird
14:38
or a dog in the distance, or traffic,
14:41
whatever it is. Just sit there and focus
14:43
on that and it was amazing
14:45
because I think what that did is it
14:48
gives your thinking brain
14:51
something to do and then
14:53
allows the rest of your being to receive.
14:56
And that's when I first started even
14:58
feeling my boys, sensing them and
15:01
seeing colors. And
15:03
it was just a very simple meditation that
15:06
anybody can do, even just start off
15:08
for five minutes at the very least,
15:10
it will help you have a little
15:12
bit of peace and serenity.
15:15
Did you visualize that you would
15:17
meet with them at a certain location or
15:20
anything like that.
15:21
Yes. Once I started learning how to do the
15:23
Shermanic journeys with Marci, she
15:26
first helped me visualize
15:28
going to animal realm
15:31
and then very realm, these different realms
15:33
that exist where we can meet
15:35
our spirit animal in the animal
15:38
realm, and it was just progression onto
15:40
developing this upper
15:43
realm where a safe place
15:45
that I could envision, imagine,
15:48
if you will, a place where I could
15:52
feel comfortable meeting with the boys,
15:55
and it was sometimes
15:57
more real than what
15:59
we experience here in the physical world. I
16:02
even have Marcie comment at one point she
16:04
said, I just need you to promise that you're
16:06
going to come back, because
16:08
I don't want to have to go back and
16:10
get get you. That's how
16:12
real it was to meet with
16:14
them.
16:15
Yeah, people take for granted what's possible.
16:18
And I know, even through some lucid
16:20
dreaming and other experiences I've
16:22
had, you can't tell me they weren't real.
16:25
And there's been some real, verifiable information
16:28
that people have gotten that there's no way
16:30
that they could know through those moments.
16:33
So you went on that
16:35
journey and now you're sharing about it,
16:37
and I know you're sharing the book. Also, when
16:40
we hear other people's stories, Maria,
16:42
it's easier to say, Okay, if
16:44
that's possible for them, maybe
16:46
I can do that too, and start on that absolutely.
16:50
And again I think we as
16:52
individuals have our own journey,
16:54
our own experience, and so just
16:57
being open to anything that
16:59
might work for you. So this is something that
17:02
works well for me, and I
17:04
know there's other people that have shared
17:06
their stories with me about how
17:08
they've communicated through astral
17:11
travel or some other
17:13
form of communication, and
17:15
so what worked for me might
17:17
not necessarily work for everybody, but it's certainly
17:20
worth a try. And just again just
17:22
staying open to any possible
17:24
ways to communicate, whether
17:27
it be in dream meditations,
17:29
automatic writing. There's just so many
17:32
different ways that spirits communicate
17:35
with us.
17:36
Could you tell us a little bit about Sean and Kyle
17:39
and if they have communicated
17:41
with you, what they're up to these days,
17:43
because I'm completely believe
17:46
they can keep one foot in our
17:48
world keeping an eye on us, but there's work
17:50
to be done and there's lives to be had, and.
17:52
The idea I don't and
17:55
honestly, I don't communicate with them on
17:57
a regular basis anymore. I just
18:00
have a sense that they're
18:02
progressing in their own journeys and their own
18:04
work that they're doing. I know Sean
18:07
is working within the realm
18:09
of music. He always loved
18:12
music. He was a guitar
18:14
player. And I've heard
18:16
little snippets from other side
18:19
gicks or mediums and little things
18:21
about maybe what they're doing. I remember one
18:23
person told me that, oh, he's a sound
18:26
engineer right now for John Lennon,
18:29
And there was no way she could have known that
18:31
John Lennon was his idol, his
18:33
favorite artist, and that he was so much
18:35
into the Beatles. So I know that he's
18:37
doing something in music.
18:40
And then Kyle was my little sports
18:42
nut, and he loved football,
18:44
he loved science. I
18:47
just get the sense that he's doing something with
18:49
regard to light, and
18:51
I'm not really sure exactly
18:54
what it is, probably too advanced
18:57
for me to understand at
18:59
this point, but yeah, I
19:01
get the sense that they definitely keeping
19:03
busy.
19:05
I get what you say about not constantly
19:08
in touch. My dad passed in
19:10
twenty ten, and it was out of the
19:12
grief that I felt and the research that I did
19:14
that I ended up coming forward with
19:17
what I knew about the afterlife and grief,
19:19
and my book came out and so
19:21
many people think, oh, you must be in touch with your dad
19:24
all the time. No, I
19:26
really do believe, because I've gotten the validation
19:29
for mediums and things that he's by my
19:31
side and he's helping get the good word out
19:33
that we go on. But
19:36
I think our lives really
19:38
are to be lived, and I know
19:40
he's still alive. I do, and
19:42
every so often the memory will come in.
19:44
I'll be like I Hey Dad, or I'll
19:47
be in the quiet zone between sleep
19:49
and wake and either see him or
19:51
feel a memory, say Dad, But it's
19:53
okay to live our lives,
19:55
and I think our loved ones want us to.
19:58
Yes, that's so true, and that's what I
20:00
was going to say, Sandra, is that I At one
20:02
point, when my shamanic
20:04
journeys started becoming
20:06
less frequent, I had asked the boys,
20:09
why am I not seeing you as
20:11
much or being with you as much? And they said,
20:13
Mom, you have life to live, you
20:16
have your human experience still
20:19
to go through, and we're always going
20:21
to be around. And I noticed that they do
20:23
pop in at those moments when either
20:25
you really need them or there's something that
20:28
just a little reminder that we're around. But
20:31
for the most part, they want us
20:33
to be living our lives. We have so much
20:35
more that we've got on this plane
20:38
to do to learn, and
20:40
so the fact that we don't have
20:42
a daily discussion or
20:44
even a weekly discussion, that doesn't
20:46
mean that they're not around. It just means
20:49
that they want us to
20:52
focus on living our lives here and
20:54
they'll connect with us when we need them
20:56
or they need us.
20:58
Absolutely they will. The
21:00
way I found you is actually
21:02
seeing pictures of your boys for a
21:05
number of years. Two years
21:07
ago we produced a movie called Ranaldi
21:10
Instrumental Transcommunication to the Other
21:12
Side about the work of Sonia and Aaldi
21:15
who takes pictures and captures
21:18
things like steam and different
21:21
energy even audio
21:23
and chopped up sounds and voices
21:26
of loved ones come through. And now pictures
21:28
and three D pictures and in color pictures
21:31
come out of some of her work. And
21:33
I've seen Sean and Kyle so
21:35
many times. And then
21:38
on one of her emagazines
21:40
that she sends out, there was your name. And
21:42
so I don't know if this was just
21:45
me, my own soul, or your
21:47
boys saying interview Mom,
21:49
Sandra, I don't know, but I just
21:52
really felt certain that I wanted to connect
21:54
with you and hear your story.
21:56
Could you tell me a little bit about your interaction
21:59
with Sonya and some of the pictures.
22:02
Yes, Oh my god, Sonya is
22:04
such an amazing person. So
22:07
I first met Sonya probably would have been
22:09
like two thousand and twelve,
22:12
thirteen, something like that. It's been a
22:14
while, and she was coming to
22:17
a conference that Craig Hogan was
22:20
organizing with ROBERTA. Grimes, and
22:23
I didn't know anything about her work.
22:25
I knew she did something with the
22:27
instrumental transcommunication,
22:30
and Craig had said, Sonya is going to be
22:32
presenting, and she thought maybe it would
22:35
be helpful to
22:37
coordinate with some of the other presenters
22:39
on maybe what she can capture
22:42
or whatever she can get with her work.
22:45
And so he said, would you be willing to
22:47
give her a couple photos of
22:49
your sons? I said, yeah, sure,
22:51
no problem, here's the photos. So I
22:53
sent them to her and a short
22:56
time later she sent me back some
22:58
images look
23:00
like my sons. But she says, what
23:02
do you think of these images? And I,
23:04
at the time, not knowing anything about what she
23:06
did, I said, I'm not really sure what to
23:08
think of them, because, you know, I know people
23:10
use photoshop all the time, and there's
23:13
that skeptic in me, you know, the cynics
23:15
like, well, where did she get these or how did she manage
23:18
to manipulate these photographs? Well,
23:20
I come to find out she explained to me her
23:23
process. And I'm not sure if she's still
23:25
doing this that she could be. She likely
23:27
is, But what she did
23:30
is she would have the image of my son on
23:32
her computer, just
23:34
showing on the screen, and then she
23:36
would have a video recorder
23:38
that would just be focused on that
23:40
photograph on the computer, and
23:42
she would film this and
23:45
so it would be hundreds
23:47
and thousands of frames
23:49
still frames, you know how films
23:51
are made, And she and her
23:54
team would go through every
23:56
single frame to see
23:58
if there was a chain in the image,
24:01
and lo and behold, she came up with these two
24:03
images, which shows clearly
24:06
when she presented them that my sons
24:08
had progressed in life. They looked a little bit
24:10
more mature, they were older. The images
24:13
were different from the photograph.
24:17
When I saw that, I realized
24:19
that spirits, including my
24:21
sons, can manipulate
24:23
energy or this type of electronics
24:26
or whatever. And I'm sure a lot of people can relate
24:28
to this, where the lights will turn on or
24:30
the music will play a certain song,
24:33
because it's easier for them to
24:36
manipulate that type of energy
24:38
as opposed to hard matter. So
24:41
that was my initial work with Sonya,
24:43
and I think for her it was a breakthrough
24:46
as well, because she always talked about your
24:48
sons. They showed me kind of
24:50
like the Acoshak record, like the
24:52
progression of the souls, and
24:55
they're older now, they're growing on
24:57
the other side, just as they would have here.
25:00
That was my initial work with Sonya,
25:02
and I did a few other things here and there,
25:04
but I'm so pleased to see how
25:07
much she is doing for so many
25:09
people, and she's just an incredible
25:11
human being. Incredible soul.
25:14
I love her dearly. I
25:16
do.
25:16
I do.
25:17
If anyone wants to see some of her work,
25:19
you can actually see the film on Amazon
25:21
Prime it's called Renaldi, or
25:24
on the We Don't Die dot com website.
25:26
The store page on the front page two is
25:29
a link where you can watch it for
25:31
me personally. Maria,
25:34
I had seen your son's images
25:36
and some other images, and I start talking
25:38
to my dad. I said, Dad, if there's a way
25:40
you can get down to Brazil and do find
25:42
out whatever she's doing and get your face on there.
25:45
Sony didn't have any pictures of my father,
25:47
nor did I send her any nor
25:50
could you find any.
25:51
Ah.
25:51
Yes, it is time for the break, but we'll
25:54
be back and you'll hear more about Sonya
25:56
Ronaldi. Also some words from

27:45
Welcome back to Shades of the Afterlife.
27:47
I'm Sandra Champlain here with
27:49
Mom Maria pay her
27:51
boys now growing up in the afterlife.
27:54
I've seen many pictures of her sons
27:57
through the work of Sonya Andaldi. Clearly
28:00
they're growing older. I was
28:02
telling Maria about my dad
28:04
coming through Sonia's trans
28:07
images. Sony didn't have any pictures
28:09
of my father, nor did I send
28:11
her any, nor could you find
28:13
any. And then suddenly there started
28:15
to be some images that came through. And
28:18
at that time she had an Easter
28:20
egg mold, a clear Easter egg mold,
28:22
and she was using different
28:25
projectors and putting static
28:28
in the center and then just filming it and
28:31
lo and behold. Out of the static
28:33
of face forms is my dad's
28:35
face and then it disappears.
28:39
And she sent me that video because
28:41
she regularly send me some unknown people.
28:44
Oh Dad, we have a similar picture
28:47
of him like that back in his
28:49
Air Force days. He died when he was in the
28:51
seventies, when he was in about
28:53
twenty six, is what it looks like. The picture
28:55
that she has that came through. He's
28:57
looking off to the side with a
29:00
smile, a little different smile and picture
29:02
we have he's looking straight on and
29:04
that's one of those from believing to
29:07
knowing moments. And then a
29:09
couple of years ago, my former boyfriend
29:11
died tragically and
29:14
I did ask. I says, there any chance because
29:17
my heart was heavy, and I knew her, and
29:19
I thought, if I'm not imposing too much,
29:21
because she doesn't work with the public. Thousands
29:24
of people come to her for these
29:26
pictures, and she works with a
29:28
team, and if there's opportunities that
29:31
she can work with the public, she'll definitely
29:33
share that. But she did, and so
29:35
she had the picture of the sky mike and the
29:38
one picture turned into a
29:40
different kind of project where she
29:43
put vapor over the picture, and
29:45
the vapor over to the right of the picture
29:48
started forming images, and it started forming
29:50
three D images, and not only was
29:52
his face there, but from a smile, he
29:55
closed his mouth, his head moved.
29:57
She even has people now,
29:59
She's got a nice young lady who's come
30:01
through, who blinks her eyes in the videos.
30:04
Oh wow.
30:05
Yeah, she's come a long way and there's
30:08
more to come. So I keep giving myself goosebumps
30:10
here.
30:11
That's great.
30:12
You know.
30:12
I remember one time asking Sonya,
30:15
how did you get my sons to come to you? She
30:17
says, no, they choose to come. Yeah,
30:19
they choose to come.
30:21
Yeah, they're working on
30:23
the behalf of humanity, is what I think with
30:25
some other young people. Yeah,
30:28
tell us about the Sean and Kyle Imagine
30:31
fund.
30:33
Yeah, that's just a very
30:35
modest fund for promoting
30:38
what their ideals were and
30:40
are. And Sean was all about
30:43
peace and love and
30:45
if you could think of that sixties hippie,
30:48
old soul John Lennon type,
30:51
that's the human being that he was.
30:54
And sometimes I just try to find something
30:57
that I can contribute to that would be
30:59
in law with his ideals.
31:02
And then Kyle is all about honesty,
31:05
integrity and doing your best. And
31:07
so one of the latest
31:10
organizations that we've funded
31:13
is to promote peace, and
31:16
there's a little piece about it on the website.
31:18
But yeah, it's just something for
31:21
me. Some of my friends and colleagues have
31:23
donated, and so I just go
31:25
with what feels right in that
31:27
regard. Sean always reminded
31:29
me, even when I started
31:31
writing the book and trying to do something
31:33
to promote their ideals. I
31:36
would ask him how I can't change your world?
31:38
How am I supposed to do anything meaningful? And
31:40
he said, mom, one person at
31:42
a time, that's it. That's all
31:44
you need to do, and that's
31:46
all we can do, really, whether
31:49
it's helping with sharing my story
31:52
or helping a cause, it's just one
31:54
person at a time. And I try not to feel
31:56
too overwhelmed about trying to make
31:58
huge ages in the
32:01
world because I think the
32:03
world is by design a conflicted
32:05
place and that's what creates
32:08
growth for us as spirits and souls.
32:11
Could you talk a little bit about forgiveness.
32:14
I know people are listening to your story
32:17
and some people, especially
32:19
who have children who have passed, feel
32:23
a real sense of guilt. So
32:25
there might be forgiveness needed to another person
32:27
or to ourselves. How
32:30
do we live on because that guilt can
32:33
kill us? It really, it's
32:35
tough.
32:36
It is tough. Once
32:39
I had a reading from
32:41
a great medium in Orange County,
32:43
timber On, and I remember he
32:45
brought through And this was pretty early on after
32:48
I'd say one year after my sons had
32:50
died. And then my sons came through and they said,
32:52
Mom, I really want you to
32:54
focus on forgiving our father,
32:57
our dad. Talk about it, ask
33:00
right, talk about how
33:02
do you forgive that? And
33:06
it's a process. It's not something where
33:08
you can all of a sudden say okay, yeah,
33:10
I forgive you for what you've done.
33:12
It's more delving into yourself and
33:14
really understanding
33:17
your higher self and trying to
33:19
open up as much as possible so
33:21
that you eventually get to the understanding
33:24
that we don't die. No
33:27
one dies, and so what are
33:29
these things that happen in our life? Why do
33:31
people die? Why there are life
33:34
lessons? Whatever is
33:37
in your life is obviously going to
33:39
be different from my life, but my
33:42
son's death is something that I've
33:45
come to accept that this part of my journey
33:49
and the manner of their
33:51
transition is certainly one
33:53
of the harder ones I think that somebody
33:56
would have to experience. I know that other
33:58
people that have experience this
34:01
type of traumatic, tragic,
34:04
gut wrenching type of loss
34:06
of a loved one. But
34:09
that's all part of, I believe, part
34:11
of the whole, the plan, the blueprint,
34:14
and if forgiveness
34:17
is part of your journey, that is something
34:20
that you'll work on it and there's no timeframe.
34:22
We know that you do that a little bit
34:24
that you can for yourself,
34:27
because we all know forgiveness is about taking
34:29
care of ourselves. So
34:32
in the grief part, you know the feeling, oh,
34:34
I should have been there, or I should
34:36
have known, or I should have done something to
34:39
me. Everything that happens
34:43
in our world in the physical plane,
34:46
it happens exactly the
34:48
way it's supposed to happen. And
34:50
the reason that I believe that the
34:52
greatest evidence to me is that
34:55
it has happened. It took me a
34:57
long time. Believe me, I didn't get to that point
35:00
quickly. It's been a process and I still have
35:02
that process that I'm going through.
35:05
But all I can say is just keep going. Your
35:07
loved ones want you to
35:09
keep going. You would want
35:12
them to keep going if the roles
35:14
were reversed. So every
35:16
day that we're here getting up
35:18
in the morning, doing what we need to do, living
35:21
life, even hopefully
35:24
thriving for whatever
35:26
time you've got left, that is
35:28
all a testament again to
35:31
the love and that we have with our
35:33
family and our children, people
35:36
that have passed on. I think it's
35:38
something that's incredibly
35:40
beautiful. It truly is a gift,
35:43
and we're not here forever.
35:45
We know that ultimately we're
35:47
going to one step closer
35:50
right to being with those loved
35:52
ones. But in the meantime, live
35:55
it up enjoy life. That's
35:57
what they want for us to experience
35:59
as much which as we possibly can, and
36:02
knowing that they continue to experience with
36:05
us as well they're around.
36:07
I agree people have asked
36:09
the whole guild question. Our younger
36:12
selves did the best we could at
36:14
every given moment, and we just have to
36:16
trust that the more we think
36:18
a thought, the more we can create a new
36:21
neural pathway and have a habit of thinking
36:23
that thought. And it doesn't serve
36:25
us and it really is tough though.
36:27
When we're grieving. I want
36:29
to just encourage people. If you're interested,
36:32
you want a free copy of my book. Chapter
36:34
ten is on how to Survive Grief,
36:36
and you can have a free copy just
36:38
that we don'tdie dot com. If
36:41
you put in your name and your email address, it says
36:43
you get the first few chapters of my book free.
36:45
And the secret is it's the entire book.
36:47
But chapter ten is how to survive
36:50
grief and with that there's
36:52
changes in our mind,
36:54
our memory, our biology, and
36:57
I go into some explanation of why grief
37:00
does what it does and for each person
37:02
I know Maria knows this, it's
37:05
a different journey and we
37:07
can't block it because what we resist
37:10
persists, but we can't make it wrong.
37:12
But there are some tools, like
37:14
when we start thinking of repetitive thought, whether
37:16
it's grief or something, that we can short circuit
37:19
it and maybe put in a positive
37:21
thought or memory is something like that.
37:24
But there's tools there to help you. There
37:26
certainly are, And I'm
37:28
like, Maria, you can certainly buy a book on Amazon,
37:31
but take it for free because there's so much information
37:34
really that can make a difference. Maria.
37:37
I know those people that don't feel
37:39
that they can go on when they
37:41
have such strong grief,
37:44
and you've made it through what I think
37:46
most people would find unimaginable. What
37:49
can you say to them?
37:51
I'm going to go back, Sandra to a
37:54
couple of weeks after my sins had
37:56
passed, and I'm
37:58
sure a lot of people can relate to this.
38:01
I wanted to die, I wanted to be gone,
38:04
and I remember begging
38:07
one of my friends please just give me
38:10
some prescription or something, because
38:13
I don't want to live here without my sons.
38:16
So that is a very real emotion
38:20
and there's nothing wrong with it. But
38:22
for me, I really had an important
38:24
realization when I
38:26
was driving back home a
38:29
few weeks after my sons had passed, I went to
38:31
go see my therapist counselor. I
38:34
realized that she would not be able to help
38:36
me because she was
38:38
trained in psychoanalysis
38:40
or whatever. So she basically
38:43
sat and watched me cry for an
38:45
hour because it was anything she could
38:47
do. I was grief, extreme
38:50
grief, and I said, Okay, I'm
38:52
going to drive home now. And she was shocked
38:55
to hear that I had driven myself
38:57
to this counseling session. And
39:00
as I was driving home, I
39:03
realized that, I guess
39:05
people believe that you can't really function
39:07
after something like this, But I thought
39:10
to myself, yeah, I drove myself. I
39:12
can crash my car into a wall, or I
39:14
can drive off the corner, the bridge, or there
39:16
were all these ways that I could take myself
39:19
out of this physical reality.
39:22
And that's when I had the realization that
39:25
my spirit was a
39:27
heck of a lot stronger than my human being,
39:30
the human part of me. My spirit
39:33
was telling me, in no uncertain
39:35
terms, no way.
39:37
We'll be back in just a moment with more
39:39
powerful words from Maria
39:41
pay And I'll tell you a little
39:44
miracle that happened to me this week. I
39:46
take it as a sign it's pretty
39:48
cool. We'll be right back. You're

40:51
Welcome back to Shades of the Afterlife.
40:53
I'm Sandra Champlain, and we're here
40:55
with mom Maria pay, author
40:58
of the book To the
41:00
Upper Realm, How I survived
41:03
the deaths of my sons and learned
41:05
to communicate with them on the other side.
41:08
She was just telling us how she hit
41:11
rock bottom and grief, had gone
41:13
to a counselor which was no help,
41:16
and thought to herself, I could easily
41:18
drive off a cliff and put it into this,
41:21
but of course she didn't.
41:23
That's when they had the realization that my
41:25
spirit was a heck
41:27
of a lot stronger than my human being,
41:30
the human part of me. My spirit
41:33
was telling me in no uncertain
41:35
terms. No way, no way, You're
41:38
not going to do that, and there was no way
41:40
that that was going
41:43
to be what happened to me. So
41:46
when I think about grief and
41:49
that realization, again
41:51
it's what do you do to help yourself?
41:54
Yeah, I don't know. Gosh, everybody's
41:56
so different, okay, And I honor
41:58
and respect that. And so when
42:01
I've just told people try to embrace
42:03
the grief, they say, what are you talking about.
42:05
I can't do that. I don't know how to do that. For
42:08
me, it was just coming
42:10
to the realization that the grief,
42:13
the whole spectrum of our emotions,
42:15
is meant to be felt in our lifetime. That's
42:18
why there's all these things that occur in our life,
42:20
happiness, joy, elation,
42:23
but also grief and sadness and loss,
42:25
and that's part of the human experience. And
42:28
knowing that the
42:30
grief is my love
42:33
for my sons just helped
42:35
me get through. And I also remembered
42:38
that whenever I was feeling that really is the
42:40
time that they're closest to me is
42:42
during that grief. Again, I
42:44
don't know if that helps other
42:47
people, it certainly helped me,
42:50
And I think reaching out
42:52
to family and friends,
42:55
but also not being afraid of it.
42:58
Like you said, you know what we
43:00
resist persists, and
43:02
to allow yourself to grieve,
43:04
to really let those
43:06
emotions in. It's
43:09
amazingly cleansing to
43:11
do that, and it actually can
43:14
give you strength. You
43:16
have to let the emotions process through you, otherwise
43:18
they do get stuck. That's one of
43:20
the things that I learned from Marcy
43:24
is that emotions get stuck in your body
43:26
and they can manifest in different physical ways.
43:29
And so just to allow them to go through. Just
43:31
like we allow love and happiness,
43:33
all those goods things to process through and really
43:35
feel them, you can do the same
43:38
thing with grief and sadness. It's
43:40
not a bad thing. And
43:41
it certainly can be
43:43
painful, it certainly can hurt,
43:46
but again it's not a bad thing.
43:49
I agree. And also, you are on the journey
43:52
of looking for your boys through
43:54
meditation, the journeying son.
43:57
You're analdi and mediums and all
43:59
that, and to get those
44:01
words and those pictures and those images
44:04
even in your own mind, nobody
44:06
can take that away from you. Nobody can say,
44:09
Maria, that was just your imagination. That's
44:11
how they communicate to us.
44:13
Yeah, absolutely, I used
44:16
whatever resources were out there. I read many,
44:18
many books by ROBERTA, by Craig
44:20
Hogan, by other mediums,
44:23
other people. I've tried to absorb as
44:25
much as I could, and I also had some pretty
44:27
amazing readings with
44:30
some of the mediums that are out there too.
44:32
All those things can help, and they certainly
44:35
did for me.
44:36
So go on your individual journey
44:38
and ask for help you can, and
44:41
research spirituality. What
44:43
can people find inside your
44:45
book? Because you know I'm going to share,
44:48
share, share, Maria.
44:51
I always tell people, if you're going
44:53
to read my book, and it's not a short book,
44:56
please read it all the way through because
44:58
it is my journey and there's so much
45:01
heartache and grief and pain,
45:04
and it's important to come out on the other side
45:06
where I came out, which is a
45:08
realization that everything
45:11
that I learned in my journey and to be able
45:13
to come out whole again. I always
45:15
think of my heart as being shattered
45:18
in a million pieces, but it's still together
45:20
and it's still beating, and that
45:23
in itself is a gift. Actually,
45:25
what it is is transcription of
45:28
my journals that I
45:31
made when I was in my
45:33
process. So after my son's
45:35
passed, there were a couple of things that I
45:37
started doing that I never used to do, which was
45:39
meditate and keep a journal.
45:42
And so this is my journal from
45:44
basically every day
45:46
of my experience for that first year
45:49
after they passed, and people
45:52
ask me, how did you do it? How do you get
45:54
through? It's all in there,
45:57
everything and just being
45:59
able to again stay open and
46:01
be amazed
46:04
at what your loved ones can
46:06
send to you, what they can share with
46:08
you, how they communicate. So
46:12
you'll find very personal journey
46:14
in there, different meditations,
46:17
different visits I had with them, because
46:20
after I had my shamanic journeys
46:22
to meet with them, I would then
46:25
write everything I could remember
46:27
that it had occurred. It's a very
46:29
personal experience and
46:31
I just hope it can help other people see that you
46:34
can do this and your
46:36
loved ones they're helping you
46:38
to do this.
46:40
Thank you for sharing that. And I know a number
46:42
of years have gone by and while
46:45
the stories may not be fresh on your mind,
46:48
they were fresh on your mind when you wrote them,
46:50
and that's what's within the book
46:52
Journey to the Upper Realm,
46:55
and so I encourage people to check
46:57
it out. You can go to Sean
47:00
Kyle imagine fund dot
47:02
com and Sean is spelled sea n.
47:05
It does help Maria to know
47:07
that someone's gone through this journey
47:10
and they've come out on the other side.
47:13
It's tough to talk about grief
47:15
in somebody's passing to someone who hasn't
47:17
been through it. So even
47:19
reading your words, it's
47:22
so clear you're there the pain
47:24
and like you said, read it to the end, come
47:27
out the other side and life. You continue
47:29
to learn and you continue to grow. Maria,
47:32
anything else you'd like to share while we're here
47:35
together.
47:36
I just want to say
47:38
that I am absolutely open to
47:40
anybody that would like to email or
47:42
talk to me. I just feel blessed,
47:45
believe it or not, that this journey that I've
47:47
had has been amazing.
47:50
There's so much joy in
47:52
my life now. People sometimes
47:55
find that hard to believe, but I
47:58
know that my sons are
48:01
in a place or a plane that where
48:03
they still thrive and grow,
48:06
and so honestly, sometimes
48:08
I'm glad that I have to worry about I'm here
48:10
on earthplane. But I
48:12
think that it's the experience
48:14
that we're having here is it's
48:17
truly it's amazing, and it's
48:20
a such a blessing. So
48:23
I just encourage people to
48:25
stay open to the possibilities
48:28
that are out there and the resources that are
48:30
out there for you.
48:32
Thank you, Maria. And as
48:34
a reminder, you can go to Sean
48:36
and Kyle imaginefund
48:40
dot com. You can see videos
48:42
of the boys and pictures. You
48:44
can read a copy of her book Journey
48:47
to the Upper Realm, and so much
48:49
more if you're interested more
48:51
in Sonia Rinaldi and her
48:54
pictures. Two things.
48:56
One, if you go to my website
48:59
we Don't Die dot and you click
49:01
on the store page, scroll
49:04
down a little bit. I did two
49:06
events online with Sonia. One
49:09
is dated December eighteenth
49:12
and the other one is dated August
49:14
thirteenth. The December eighteenth
49:17
one has pictures
49:19
of Sean and Kyle and
49:21
how they came through in Sonia's
49:24
trance images. The other,
49:26
August thirteenth, was some
49:28
of her new experiments that she has
49:31
done. Sonia travels from
49:33
Brazil a couple of times a year
49:35
and attends live events and
49:38
does a demonstration. I know in
49:41
April of twenty twenty four,
49:43
she'll be alongside Scott Milligan,
49:46
who you know from this show, and also
49:48
medium Dominic Bogue and her
49:50
future travels I always
49:53
post again at
49:55
that store page We Don't
49:57
Die dot Com. Many
49:59
people come to me, especially parents,
50:02
to see if Sonia can work with them to bring
50:04
through their special person.
50:07
Unfortunately, she does not work like
50:09
a medium and doesn't work one on
50:11
one with people. Dear Sonia has
50:13
never asked for a penny for
50:15
her work. So what some of us did
50:17
is we created a Patreon account
50:20
for Sonia so people who want to
50:22
give as little as five dollars
50:24
a month can get a copy of
50:26
every journal she's put together with all
50:29
of her research, and when
50:31
there is an experiment she wishes to
50:33
do, she'll choose from her Patreon
50:36
community. You can easily go to
50:38
Patreon dot com, which
50:40
is pa t r EO
50:43
N so instead of Patron, it's
50:45
patreon dot com. Click
50:48
on find a Creator that's the
50:50
search, and then just type in Sonia
50:52
Rinaldi. And of course, don't
50:54
forget we made that documentary film
50:57
about her. You can find it on Amazon
50:59
Prime. Just type in Rinaldi
51:02
Instrumental trans Communication
51:04
to the other Side. Or again, just
51:07
go to the We Don'tdie dot com page,
51:09
click on the store and you'll find it
51:11
there. Now, what was that good news?
51:13
I hinted about in the last
51:15
segment, well last
51:18
episode, if you'll remember, you
51:20
heard from mom Diane Calderon,
51:23
whose son Matthew is
51:25
now in the afterlife. Diane
51:27
didn't have too many bluebirds where she lived,
51:30
and after Matt's passing, she's
51:32
gotten a lot of bluebirds. Anyone
51:35
who knows me knows that I feed
51:37
the birds. Turned into a bit of a
51:39
crazy old bird lady. But in the four
51:42
years I've lived here, I haven't had
51:44
a single bluebird come
51:46
to my feeders. The day after
51:49
I aired Diane's episode,
51:51
for you, guess what happened, Around
51:54
a dozen bluebirds showed
51:56
up at my bird feeders. It was weird,
51:59
wild and wonderful. Could
52:01
it be just a random flock of
52:03
bluebirds just happened to come by on
52:05
this special day after four years of
52:07
not visiting. Certainly that could
52:10
be. But for me, I took
52:12
it as a sign from her son
52:14
Matthew, that said, Sandra,
52:17
thanks for interviewing my mom. In
52:20
fact, just when I started
52:22
to air this episode, I
52:25
looked out my window and on
52:27
the branch closest to
52:29
my bedroom window, there was
52:31
a bluebird just looking
52:33
at me. There certainly is
52:36
more to life than meets the eye, isn't
52:38
there and there's more to us than we
52:40
know. Remember your loved ones are around,
52:43
keep talking to them, include them in your life.
