0:51
Hi.
0:51
I'm Sandra Champlain. For over
0:54
twenty five years, I've been on a journey
0:56
to prove the existence of life after
0:59
death. On each episode,
1:01
we'll discuss the reasons we now
1:03
know that our loved ones have survived
1:06
physical debt, and so will
1:08
we. Welcome to Shades
1:10
of the Afterlife. I was recently
1:13
on social media and one of my
1:15
classmates from high school mentioned
1:18
something about our fortieth
1:20
high school reunion and
1:22
it took me a second forty years
1:25
since I graduated high school. That
1:27
must make me fifty eight, and
1:30
it does. But inside
1:32
I'm still me. Very
1:35
hard to believe. I'm fifty eight years old,
1:37
and whatever age you are, you
1:40
probably feel the same way.
1:43
You're still you. I'm still
1:45
me. We look in the mirror, though
1:48
we may look a little different. In
1:50
fact, living in our bodies, there
1:52
may be some aches and pains and things have changed.
1:55
But we are still us,
1:58
aren't we. I found this
2:01
quote author unknown, but
2:04
I'd like to read it to you. I
2:06
asked an elderly woman once what
2:08
it was like to be old and
2:10
to know that the majority of
2:12
her life was behind her now.
2:15
She told me that she has been
2:18
the same age her entire
2:20
life. She said, the voice
2:22
inside of her head had
2:24
never aged. She has always
2:27
been the same girl, her
2:29
mother's daughter. She had always
2:31
wondered when she would grow up
2:34
and be an old woman.
2:36
She said.
2:36
She watched her body age and
2:38
her faculties dull, but the
2:40
person she is inside
2:43
never got tired. She
2:46
never aged, She never changed.
2:49
Remember, our spirits
2:51
are eternal, our souls
2:54
are forever. So the
2:56
next time you encounter an elderly person,
2:59
look at them and know that
3:01
they are still a child inside,
3:05
just as you are still a child. And
3:08
children will always need
3:10
love, attention, and
3:13
purpose. Don't you just love
3:15
that?
3:16
So?
3:16
I think this episode will be titled I'm
3:19
Still Me, because
3:22
when we migrate to the
3:24
other side, we simply open
3:26
our eyes and we're
3:29
still us. We just
3:31
happen to be being greeted by
3:33
our loved ones pets that have passed,
3:36
but we are still very much alive.
3:40
Think about when you woke up this morning, You're
3:42
still you.
3:43
Right.
3:44
Of course, You've got years of
3:46
a past that are behind you, but
3:49
they don't live in the present moment. You
3:51
live in the present moment two right
3:53
now listening to shades of the afterlife.
3:56
On our episode today, I
3:58
want to tell you different stories
4:00
that come from different people who
4:03
have died. I love telling
4:05
these kind of stories because throughout
4:07
the beginning of time there have
4:09
been different kinds of mediums
4:11
who have brought through loved ones.
4:14
There's been physical mediums, trance
4:17
mediums. What we see in
4:19
the world right now is a lot of evidential
4:21
mediums who will say, I've got
4:23
your mom here. She used to make
4:25
you raspberry pancakes every
4:27
breakfast and you will say yes, right,
4:30
So that's evidential mediums, trance
4:32
mediums. Well, you've heard mister
4:35
Eric, an old English voice
4:37
speaking through a young man named
4:40
Scott Milligan. You've heard him many times
4:42
on Shades of the Afterlife. But
4:45
in time, in past,
4:47
there were people that were trance
4:50
mediums, but they would actually channel
4:53
your loved ones. So what
4:55
this would look like is the
4:58
medium would be in front of you, eyes
5:00
would be closed. It may sound
5:02
like the medium's voice, but
5:05
the words coming through would be
5:07
from your loved one. This kind
5:09
of mediumship is very,
5:12
very very rare. In
5:14
fact, when you think of the movie Ghost
5:16
and you think of Whoopi Goldberg, she
5:19
was channeling Patrick Swayze to
5:22
Demi Moore, And that's kind
5:24
of what I'm talking about. Now. I
5:27
have the opportunity to study trance
5:29
mediumship at Arthur Finley College,
5:32
and the instructor did
5:34
a demonstration of
5:36
this, well we'll call it trance
5:38
channeling. She did it two times.
5:41
One the person in front of her was a man,
5:44
and the other the person in front of her was a
5:46
woman, and each time it
5:48
was one of their parents that spoke
5:51
through her directly to
5:53
the recipient with details
5:56
to prove that it was really them
5:59
words, letting the person know
6:01
that there's still very much with them
6:04
and of course there's always love
6:06
shared. And seeing this is
6:08
so wonderful. I can honestly
6:11
say I cried really hard
6:14
after it because imagine what
6:16
it would be like for your loved one to talk
6:18
to you again. Amazing.
6:21
So my hope for the future if you're
6:23
someone who is an evidential
6:26
medium right now is you learn
6:28
a little trance mediumship. We
6:30
have Scott Milligan's class online
6:33
almost every Monday. It changes
6:36
a little month to month, and
6:39
I definitely trust the tutors
6:41
at the Arthur Finley College in
6:44
the UK, but it's a beautiful
6:46
way to let the spirit world
6:48
work with us. No one
6:50
takes us over like you see in the movies.
6:53
Some of the stories I will share with you today
6:56
came through such trance
6:59
mediums letting their
7:01
loved one know, Hey, I'm
7:03
still me and I'm still
7:05
alive. I found a handful of
7:07
stories that just warmed my heart about
7:11
still being us in the afterlife,
7:13
but also what life is
7:15
like in the afterlife. The
7:17
third type of medium is a
7:19
physical medium, which is very
7:22
rare and currently oh
7:24
the physical mediums on planet Earth.
7:26
A lot of them are doing some weird things,
7:29
producing gemstones from
7:31
out of the darkness. While I don't go
7:33
for that. I have witnessed good physical
7:36
mediumship with a medium named David
7:38
Thompson and also Scott Milligan,
7:41
where loved one's voices seem to
7:43
come from out of the air and
7:45
talk to their loved one.
7:48
There was a gentleman who died many
7:50
years ago by the name of Leslie
7:52
Flint, and I'll be including
7:54
some of the stories that happened
7:56
through his mediumship. Also, Leslie
7:59
was a physical medium and he would
8:01
host small groups of people
8:04
or one on one with people back
8:06
in the day and they'd want to talk to their
8:08
loved one. Leslie
8:11
would have his mouth taped
8:13
shut. He was even tested. They'd
8:15
put color dye in his mouth, and
8:17
yet these voices would still come
8:20
from what seemed out
8:22
of nowhere. So far, he's
8:25
the only medium I know that
8:27
ever existed that was able
8:29
to do this. Some of the stories
8:31
will come from the
8:33
recordings of what people
8:36
witnessed with their loved ones. Because
8:39
the voice quality isn't great
8:42
and these tapes date way back.
8:44
I'll tell you the stories in my own voice.
8:47
I highly recommend that
8:50
you check out the website leslieflint
8:53
dot com and his book
8:56
Voices in the Dark. Before
8:58
I share the stories, I
9:01
want to express what
9:03
I've learned in the last twenty six years
9:05
about the actual dying process.
9:09
No matter how we get over there, we
9:11
are greeted by loved ones
9:13
and we will feel like I'm still
9:16
me. So that's all good. Before
9:18
that happens, though, ooh, how
9:20
do we get there? I think the
9:22
best way to go is when we're old
9:25
and gray after a long life
9:27
and we have a natural death. But
9:30
unfortunately, there are accidents.
9:32
Some people pass by illness, some
9:34
people take their own lives unfortunately,
9:37
and others take people's lives
9:40
through killings. It's
9:42
never easy to have someone pass
9:45
for those left behind, But
9:47
for us, we want to know is it
9:50
scary? Does it hurt? What does
9:52
it feel like? I want to rest
9:54
your mind that death itself
9:57
is painless. Many say
9:59
it's like getting very sleepy and then
10:01
just falling asleep. But those
10:03
of us who have seen our loved ones suffer.
10:06
Like my dad before his passing,
10:08
he had cancer and he was in
10:11
an incredible amount of pain. It
10:13
is said by our friends in spirit
10:15
and through longtime mediums that
10:18
our soul can leave the
10:20
body before the body passes,
10:24
and this has been documented in cases
10:26
of near death experiences, many
10:28
of which I've shared on Shades of the Afterlife,
10:31
where people's consciousness is out
10:33
of their body and they're able to
10:35
witness what's happening to
10:38
their body from the outside
10:40
or above. In many cases,
10:43
those who are suffering, their consciousness
10:45
leaves, and when we do get to the other
10:48
side, we may, of course remember
10:50
how we passed, but that pain,
10:52
that memory of any discomfort
10:55
before we left, that is gone.
10:58
There's no punishment, we've spoken
11:00
before, there's no judgment. It's
11:03
for us to do our own life
11:05
review. Death isn't the scary
11:07
part. Life is the scary part.
11:10
And of course not a single one of us
11:12
wishes to suffer or have our
11:14
loved one suffer. So I
11:17
am a strong proponent if
11:19
the end is getting near by sickness,
11:21
that we all turn to hospice, which
11:24
has the best pain
11:26
medication known to mankind.
11:29
So again, when we say we're afraid
11:31
of death, that may be afraid
11:33
of the pain. But I strongly
11:35
believe that our consciousness does
11:38
leave our body before the body dies.
11:40
Even in cases of dementia and Alzheimer's.
11:43
It's as if those folks have one foot
11:46
in our world and one foot
11:48
they're already seeing into the afterlife.
11:50
And let's not forget that we have a greeting
11:53
committee that when we're in that in
11:55
between place, still alive,
11:58
on the threshold of passing, loved
12:00
ones guides. Some
12:02
people see angels, we can
12:04
see into the afterlife. It's
12:07
all happening to comfortably
12:10
bring us across the veil. We'll
12:12
take our first break in a moment, but when
12:15
we come back, you'll hear about South
12:17
African lawyer Jasper Swain
12:20
and his conversations with
12:22
his deceased son Mike,
12:25
with and without the aid of a
12:28
medium. Conversations
12:30
Mike details his new world
12:33
and his new life. For instance,
12:35
Mike says, the actual act
12:37
of dying is as simple as
12:40
dozing off after lunch.
12:42
A drowsy feeling fills the whole
12:45
body with relaxing comfort.
12:47
We'll hear his story when we get
12:50
back. Are you ready to take the
12:52
ride into the I'm still
12:54
me stories about
12:57
the other side from people on
12:59
the other side. We'll be right

14:07
Welcome back to Shades of the Afterlife.
14:09
I'm Sandra Champlain. I'd
14:11
like to share with you some excerpts
14:14
from the book From My World
14:16
to Yours, which was first published
14:19
in nineteen seventy four by
14:21
South African lawyer Jasper Swain
14:24
after his eldest son, Mike, tragically
14:27
died in a car accident in
14:30
South Africa. Mike, who
14:32
was just eighteen years old at
14:34
the time, was accompanied by Heather,
14:37
an eleven year old daughter of one of his friends.
14:40
Shortly after the funeral, Jasper
14:42
went to see missus Nina Marrington,
14:45
who had offered him her services
14:47
to act as a medium in order
14:50
to establish contact with
14:52
Mike in the spirit world. After
14:55
Nina passed into trance, Jasper
14:58
was startled to hear her speaking
15:00
with Mike's voice, addressing
15:02
him as Shud a
15:05
name that only his dead son
15:07
had ever used. When asked
15:09
how the accident happened, Mike said
15:12
that he would place Medium Nina
15:14
in the driver's seat so that she
15:17
could describe exactly how things
15:19
had transpired the entrance.
15:21
Medium began by saying he
15:24
has placed me in a small green
15:26
mini car. It is a terribly
15:29
hot day and I'm driving along
15:31
a very crowded road. There
15:33
is a little girl beside me. Her name
15:35
is Heather. She is chatting to
15:37
me about her mom and dad, who are
15:39
in the car ahead of us. I
15:41
can see their car approximately
15:44
fifty yards away. It is gray
15:46
in color. It is noon, and
15:49
there is a mass of holiday traffic
15:52
passing us in both directions. Now,
15:55
I see a black car coming towards us.
15:57
As it approaches us, I see
16:00
this other car coming behind it.
16:02
I can see this other car clearly
16:05
because it is in the middle of the road trying
16:08
to pass the black car. Nina
16:10
paused for a moment and said, the
16:12
sun is glaring on the windscreen of
16:14
the black car and reflecting
16:17
back into my eyes. I can
16:19
see nothing but a bright silver radiance.
16:21
It is blinding to me. All
16:24
of a sudden, the radiance changes from
16:26
silver to gold. I am being lifted
16:28
up in the air out through the top
16:31
of the car. I grab little
16:33
Heather's hand. She too is
16:35
being lifted up out of the car.
16:38
We have been lifted thirty feet
16:40
above the Mini, and in one horrifying
16:43
second, I see the little Mini
16:46
and this large car collide
16:48
head on. The little Mini bounces
16:51
right off the highway, right over
16:53
onto the gravel verge. It
16:55
is finally brought to a halt and a cloud
16:58
of dust when it hits a giant
17:00
hill the large cars turning
17:02
in mid air, its nose
17:05
flips over until it is back to front.
17:08
Then it smashes down on the road on
17:10
its side. A storm of
17:12
metallic dust is now glinting
17:14
all over the road. The medium
17:17
Nina stopped, obviously
17:19
too agitated to continue.
17:21
What impressed her listeners was the fact
17:23
that Mike had never seen the other
17:25
vehicle until after the silver
17:28
light had changed to gold. He
17:30
and Heather had felt no sense of impact.
17:33
They had suffered no pain, just
17:35
a gentle ascent into the air. Nina
17:38
recovered herself enough to continue.
17:41
Heather and I are still holding hands.
17:44
We now descend beside the Mini.
17:47
We see two crumpled bodies lying
17:49
in it. We feel vaguely
17:51
sorry that this thing should have happened
17:53
to them, and we both fully understand
17:56
that we are now, so far as mortals
17:58
are concerned, dead. We
18:00
are both aware that a lot of people
18:02
have begun to gather around us. They
18:05
are dressed in glorious colors. We
18:07
even recognize some of the people.
18:10
They are the faces of friends and family
18:13
who passed beyond the earth
18:15
before us. Heather and
18:17
I are still standing hand in hand,
18:20
Now guided by the one
18:22
who first lifted us into the air,
18:25
the two of us sweep towards the skies.
18:28
We drift about the two round
18:30
hills known as the Breasts of
18:32
Sheba in heartfelt
18:34
joy. The three jasper, his
18:37
wife, Clarice, and his second son, Kevin
18:40
listen, transported by
18:42
the fact that the passing had involved
18:45
neither fear, shock nor suffering.
18:48
Mike now addressed himself to his brother.
18:50
Sometime after the crash, Kevin
18:53
had noticed that dust was gathering
18:55
on his bicycle, and he began to clean
18:58
it. In the process, he noticed that
19:00
the drive chain was dry. In too
19:02
much of a hurry to find the grease gun,
19:05
he rashly decided to take a chance
19:07
with the oil can. He messed
19:09
it up, however, and oil flowed
19:11
out of the bottom of the casing and made
19:13
a pool on the kitchen floor. Kevin
19:16
had mopped up the oil with one of Mike's
19:18
dusters, which he promptly washed
19:20
and iron before returning it to
19:22
the drawer. Through the entranced
19:25
medium Nina, Mike informed
19:27
him that he had watched the whole thing
19:30
him making a mess, and if
19:32
he had been there, he wouldn't have helped
19:34
him clean it. This left
19:36
Kevin devoid of speech, because
19:39
this episode had occurred long after
19:41
the funeral and no one knew about
19:43
it except himself. Mike
19:46
next turned to his mother. I'm so
19:48
glad you've begun to accept what has happened,
19:50
he told her. Never allow yourself
19:53
to mourn. Just send us your
19:55
love, send us your happiness. These
19:58
we can use in service of others.
20:00
The other morning, Mom, just after
20:02
sunrise, you left the bedroom and
20:05
went down to the garden in your dressing
20:07
gown, and you picked a single, perfect
20:09
white rose. I was with you then,
20:12
and I surrounded you with all of my love.
20:15
Mom. If you ever do get depressed
20:17
again, go out into the garden and pick
20:19
another flower. I shall be there
20:22
with you again and again. Jasper
20:25
and Kevin knew nothing of this, having
20:27
been asleep when Clarice had gone down
20:29
into the garden. But in the weeks
20:31
that followed, whenever Clarice went alone
20:34
to the garden, Jasper and Kevin
20:36
would notice that, no matter how somber
20:39
she was leaving the house, she
20:41
would come back later with her eyes sparkling
20:44
and her face transformed. Mike,
20:46
where are you now? His father?
20:49
Jasper asked him. The reply
20:51
came instantly. I am surrounded
20:54
by the love and peace of our father.
20:57
But where are you? What world are
20:59
you in? Can you tell me? I'm
21:02
in a world that looks pretty much
21:04
the same as your world, Dad, Only
21:06
there are different laws up here. When
21:09
I say laws, I don't mean the laws that
21:11
govern behavior of the people. I
21:14
mean the laws that govern thought.
21:17
Mike, tell me more about that world.
21:20
How do you get there? Where does it
21:22
exist? Dad? Everyone
21:25
comes here through the gates of death. You
21:28
have to rearrange your values to appreciate
21:31
its virtues. Though, while
21:33
you are still on earth, your thought,
21:35
your intentions, everything you
21:37
do gives your soul a certain
21:39
rate of vibration. For
21:42
argument's sake, let's suppose your
21:44
soul is vibrating in a fifty
21:46
megacycle band. When you
21:48
die and manifest here, you would
21:51
go straight to the part of our world,
21:53
which vibrates at fifty megacycles.
21:56
By the same token, if you're a slow
21:58
thinking sort of a blow o, you can
22:00
only vibrate to fifteen megacycles,
22:03
then you'll become part of this world in the
22:05
fifteen megacycle range. It
22:07
all depends on your rate of vibration.
22:11
Therefore, you yourself select
22:13
the kind of scenery that will await
22:15
you when you arrive here. The
22:18
worlds above us are even richer
22:20
in light and happiness. If
22:22
I go up there, and I can right
22:25
now, I find it too bright. The light
22:27
hurts my eyes, and the vibrations
22:30
are so refined that I can't
22:32
respond to them. So I just
22:34
reverse gear and return to this world,
22:36
which suits me just fine. Is
22:39
Dad? Jasper begins to ask
22:42
these worlds that you refer to, Mike,
22:44
not so much world's Dad, as
22:46
planes of existence. Though
22:49
we have sun and the skies
22:51
and acres of beautiful flowers here,
22:53
we don't have rain as you know it, Nor
22:56
is there any blight to destroy the beauty
22:59
of the trees. They look exactly
23:01
the same as they do on Earth,
23:04
with one big difference. However, here
23:07
they are all perfect. There
23:10
are no high winds to warp and twist
23:12
them. There are only gentle breezes.
23:15
It is always coolish warm, if
23:17
you know what I mean. My greatest
23:19
joy here is my sense of perfect
23:21
freedom. We can go wherever
23:24
we like, whenever we feel like
23:26
it. This world is infinite,
23:28
and though everyone you meet on this plane
23:31
is at the same stage of development
23:33
as yourself, he is still a rugged
23:36
individualist in his own right,
23:39
just as he was on Earth. Everyone
23:42
has his or her own way of looking
23:44
at things and his or her
23:46
own way of speaking their mind. When
23:49
you discuss anything here, you
23:51
always learn something new because
23:53
the person you are talking to has such an original
23:56
attitude. And as I
23:58
said, thought is all powerful
24:01
here. For example, if I want
24:03
to own a brand new Jaguar, all
24:05
I have to do is visualize the car
24:07
in my mind, and it is created
24:10
right there before my eyes out
24:13
of the thought energy of this world.
24:15
If we are far away from one another and
24:18
we want to make contact, telepathy
24:21
is the accepted thing here. I
24:24
merely have to think of the fellow I
24:26
want to speak to and bingo, he's
24:29
right there. We contact each other
24:31
as easily as you use the telephone,
24:34
except that we don't need to pick up a phone. If
24:37
someone wants to talk to you, you first
24:39
hear him in your mind. If
24:41
you want to go to him, you merely
24:43
exert your will, and in two
24:46
ticks you're right there. Takes
24:48
a bit of practice and getting used to, but
24:51
it beats TV by a mile. You
24:53
see how perfect everything is. This
24:56
world is the right one for me at
24:59
this stage of my development. But as
25:01
my vibrations become more refined,
25:04
I shall be able to visit the higher
25:06
planes with ease. And
25:08
when I want to study the law and learn how
25:10
it operates, we go to the
25:13
Hall of logic. There are many
25:15
halls of knowledge and wisdom. Here
25:17
we can travel from one end of
25:19
this realm to another as fast
25:22
as lightning. Our bodies never get
25:24
tired. Illness and sickness
25:26
don't exist here. This is a
25:28
world of perfection. All this
25:30
information took Jasper some
25:32
considerable time to digest, and
25:35
his next question to Mike was, Mike,
25:38
if you are safe in the infinite
25:40
domain of God? Where is hell?
25:43
This was met by a burst of hearty laughter.
25:46
G Dad answered Mike, Hell
25:49
only exists where you are
25:51
now. Those were
25:53
excerpts from the book From
25:55
My World to Yours. It's
25:58
time for our next break, and when we come

Hi, this is ufologist Kevin Randall,
27:02
and you're listening to the iHeartRadio and Coast
27:04
to Coast am Paranormal Podcast
27:06
Network.
27:22
Welcome back to Shades of the Afterlife.
27:24
I'm Sandra Champlain. I'd like
27:27
to now introduce you to the
27:29
work of medium Leslie Flint.
27:32
Mister Flint became a famous
27:34
British medium not because
27:36
he stood on a platform to give
27:38
messages from the deceased, but because
27:41
countless thousands of
27:43
spirit people spoke for themselves
27:46
out of the darkness. He was
27:48
called a direct voice medium.
27:51
These voices were independent of
27:53
mister Flint. He even spoke
27:55
with them himself, describing
27:57
the voices that were heard
27:59
above my head and slightly
28:02
to one side of me. By the time
28:04
his book Voices in the Dark
28:07
was first published in nineteen seventy one,
28:09
Flint had already been a medium for
28:12
over forty years, yet he continued
28:15
with his work for another twenty years.
28:17
His experience and knowledge of
28:20
what happens to us after death is
28:22
second to none. His mediumship
28:25
was tested by independent researchers
28:28
time and time again, and
28:30
still the voices came to speak
28:33
their messages to their loved ones
28:35
that we are alive, we are eternal
28:38
spirits living a physical life, and
28:40
that we do live on after death.
28:43
Although Leslie Flint passed in
28:45
nineteen ninety four at the age of
28:47
eighty three. Journalist Neville
28:50
Randall spent two years
28:53
sifting through the hundreds of
28:55
recordings made by George
28:57
Woods and Betty Green with
29:00
people who spoke through medium
29:02
Leslie Flint. Randall's book
29:04
Life After Death is a detailed
29:06
account of life beyond the grave in
29:09
the worlds of the people who live there.
29:11
Many say it is the most reassuring
29:14
and down to earth book about the
29:16
other side ever written. Here's
29:18
a few words from chapter four, titled
29:21
I must be dead? What is it like to
29:23
die? The prospect from this
29:26
side of the grave is not inviting.
29:28
If we are lucky, it's quick. For
29:30
most of us, it's something we prefer not
29:32
to think about. Could we have gotten
29:34
it wrong? The message from the other side
29:37
is rather different. Nothing much
29:39
to worry about, just a natural transition
29:42
from one existence to another. None
29:44
of the voices who came back through Leslie
29:47
Flint to describe what happened
29:49
remember being frightened or in any
29:51
pain. Most of them took quite
29:54
a while to realize they were not
29:56
still alive. The moment of death
29:58
for all of them was a dream
30:01
which changed into a new sense
30:03
of reality. Their main worry
30:05
is why the folks they left behind
30:08
were scurrying around in such a panic
30:10
and could not see that they were still
30:12
alive, happy and well. As
30:15
soon as a communicating spirit has
30:17
mastered the problem of turning
30:19
his thoughts into words through
30:22
Flint's ecdoplasmic voice box,
30:24
he usually starts talking with
30:26
all the eagerness of a traveler
30:29
calling at the end of a long journey
30:31
to share his impressions of his destination.
30:34
Betty Green takes the first opportunity
30:37
to steer them towards sharing
30:39
what interests us most with
30:41
her opening question, could you give
30:43
us your reaction on finding out
30:46
that you were dead? This was the question
30:48
she put to a voice who had introduced
30:50
himself on April eleventh,
30:53
nineteen fifty nine, as a
30:55
Sussex farmer named George
30:57
Hopkins. Here are his words.
31:00
Well, I just had a stroke or a seizure
31:02
or a heart attack, something of that
31:05
sort. As a matter of fact, I
31:07
was harvesting. I felt a bit peculiar,
31:10
thought it was the sun, and went down
31:12
in the hedge. I felt a bit
31:14
drowsy and must have dozed off.
31:17
But dear, oh, dear, I had such
31:19
shock I woke up as
31:21
I thought, the sun has gone down, and
31:24
there was me, or what appeared
31:26
to me me. I was puzzled. I
31:29
tried to shake myself to wake myself
31:31
up. I thought, well, this is
31:33
funny. I must be dreaming. I
31:35
couldn't make heads or tails of it.
31:38
It never struck me that I was
31:40
dead. This chapter on
31:42
George continues with him
31:45
trying to get people to realize that he was
31:47
still alive before he moves
31:49
on to the other side. Here's
31:52
a story about another George. Old
31:55
George Wilmot recalled his
31:57
astonishment when he passed at
31:59
being green by his old horse,
32:02
Old Jenny, he said, used to pull
32:04
my cart in the early years. I
32:06
was real upset when poor old Jenny collapsed
32:09
and died. She was as near to me as
32:11
any woman could be. In fact,
32:13
more so, I had great affection
32:16
for old Jenny. She knew everything
32:18
that I ever said to her, and she was
32:21
as cute as they come. The
32:23
first thing I remember when I woke
32:25
up over here was being in well,
32:28
I suppose you'd call it a field. I
32:30
seemed to be sitting or lying
32:32
under a tree. I remember waking
32:34
up. I could see this horse coming
32:37
towards me, and there was
32:39
my old Jenny. She looked younger,
32:41
of course, and she was so thrilled
32:43
and so happy. You could sense
32:45
and feel it. I can't say how.
32:48
This is something I can't explain, but
32:50
it was almost as if she was talking
32:53
to me. I couldn't hear any voice,
32:55
and you don't expect to hear a horse
32:58
speak, but somehow, men,
33:00
I suppose I could hear her. Now
33:03
I realize it was as if
33:05
she was speaking to me and welcoming me. She
33:08
came beside me and was licking my face.
33:11
Goodness me, I'll never forget
33:13
this as long as I live. I
33:15
was so thrilled and excited. And then
33:17
I heard a voice behind me. I
33:19
turned around and there was a fine looking
33:22
chap I should think he was about
33:24
six foot two, fair haired,
33:26
young and he says, I've
33:28
come to look after you, come
33:31
to look after me. I said, what are
33:33
you talking about? I was so taken
33:35
aback, what with Jenny and the
33:37
rest of it. Yes, I'm going
33:39
to look after you, he says, I've
33:41
been put in charge of you. What do you
33:43
mean in charge of me? I'm capable
33:46
of looking after myself. You
33:48
don't understand he said, you know
33:50
you are dead. In the rest of
33:52
the chapter, George continues
33:54
with Michael and the horse Jenny,
33:57
and of course Michael explains that all
34:00
of our animal companions
34:02
get to be with us in the spirit
34:05
world and they can talk
34:07
to us with their thoughts. In
34:09
chapter twelve, the voice comes
34:12
through of a London flower
34:14
cellar named Rose Hawkins.
34:16
She was asked questions about what
34:19
life is like on the other side
34:21
and if she could describe it. Rose
34:24
says, you've asked me to describe
34:27
our world in material language.
34:29
I don't know which way to start. I
34:31
suppose if you could think of all the
34:33
beautiful things in your world, without
34:36
all the things that aren't pleasant, you'd
34:39
have some vague idea of what it's like.
34:42
Beautiful natural surroundings, flowers,
34:45
birds, trees, lakes, The
34:48
sun is always shining. You
34:50
might think it gets a bit monotonous, but
34:52
it doesn't. She's asked, Is
34:55
it easier to grow flowers over there than
34:57
it is here? Well, you plant
34:59
them up, but we don't have seasons.
35:02
They don't need water. Everything
35:04
just grows naturally. Is
35:07
your world very much like this world, She's
35:09
asked, only more beautiful? Well,
35:11
I suppose yes, I would
35:14
compare it very much like a beautiful
35:16
English countryside. That's the nearest
35:19
I can explain it. Have you villages
35:21
and towns? She was asked, Well,
35:23
we haven't towns as you understand
35:26
them. There are places where I
35:28
suppose you'd call them towns in a sense,
35:30
where thousands of people congregate together,
35:33
but there's no buses or trains. Well,
35:35
how do you travel? We walk,
35:38
or if you've got any distance, you
35:41
just think of the place you want to be in, close
35:44
your eyes, and then in a split second
35:46
you're there. Do you live in a house?
35:49
Rose, Well, yes I do live in
35:51
a house, but I don't have to. But
35:53
I've never seen anyone who doesn't. Houses
35:56
are very real. We've got architects
35:59
and designers and so on. They create
36:01
and build, but it isn't hard labor
36:04
like it is on your side. Do
36:06
you use money or anything like that over
36:08
there? Money? She says, You
36:10
can't buy nothing here with money.
36:13
The only thing you can get here is
36:15
by character and the way you lived
36:17
your life, and the way you think
36:19
and act. But we're wondering
36:22
how do you get the architects
36:24
to do the work? Rose said,
36:27
Well, you don't pay him He does it because
36:29
he loves to do it. He loves to
36:31
design houses. He loves
36:33
to do that kind of work, the same
36:36
as the musician who loves to play the violin.
36:39
He's just happy to entertain as friends
36:41
and people, and they form orchestras
36:43
and choirs. They do everything
36:45
for love. Everything is
36:47
done for love. And anyone, for
36:50
instance, on your side, who never
36:52
had a chance in life, perhaps they
36:54
wanted to be a musician or an artist.
36:57
They can study over here, you see, and
37:00
be whoever they want to be. Do
37:02
you eat anything, she was asked.
37:05
We have fruit and nuts, she replied, and
37:07
we have all the things you can
37:09
imagine from your world. But I don't
37:11
eat meat or any flesh of any kind.
37:14
You know, what do you do with your flowers?
37:16
Rose? Do you use them to beautify
37:18
places? Well, of course you can
37:20
if you want to. You can cut the flowers
37:23
and you can use them in your home, But
37:25
very few people do that. After a time,
37:28
we usually only see people doing
37:30
that who haven't been here long. All
37:32
the flowers are natural, they have their
37:34
own life, and I don't think it's the
37:36
right thing to cut them all down. But
37:38
if you're sitting inside your house and you want
37:41
to see the flowers outside, you don't
37:43
necessarily have to go outside to see
37:45
them. You can just think about them,
37:47
and there they are you can see them. Rose.
37:50
Do you sleep, Oh, yes, you can sleep
37:52
if you feel so inclined. But it's not necessary
37:55
because you don't feel tired. How
37:58
do you measure space and time? Well,
38:00
I don't know. There isn't measurement
38:02
of time as I understand it. We are not
38:04
conscious of time. Mentally you
38:07
think, oh, well, it's afternoon, evening
38:09
or night. But things don't affect
38:11
us. Time is, after
38:13
all, only man made. Rose.
38:16
What is the sky like? Oh,
38:18
there are clouds in the sky from time to time.
38:21
It's a beautiful sky, nothing
38:23
you could ever dream of. It isn't
38:25
necessarily blue. It can be
38:28
with the green and red and all
38:30
kinds of magnificent colors. There
38:32
are colors over here that I've
38:35
never seen on earth. Rose
38:37
goes on to describe how people
38:40
dress, that there are lakes,
38:42
there are boats, what people
38:44
do for their pastime, playing
38:46
music, being together, going
38:49
to the halls of learning, and
38:51
much more. It is time for
38:53
our break. When we come back,
38:56
there'll be a bit more from the book Life
38:58
After Death by Neville Randall,
39:01
and you'll hear some words
39:04
from a person in the afterlife through
39:07
the direct voice mediumship of
39:09
Leslie Flint. So just remember
39:12
I'm still me and you're still

This is Afterlife expert Daniel
40:24
Braakley, and you're listening to the iHeartRadio
40:27
and Coast to Coast AM Paranormal
40:30
podcast Network. Welcome
40:45
back to Shades of the Afterlife. I'm
40:48
Sandra Champlain. I thought
40:50
it would be appropriate to play
40:52
some words spoken in one
40:54
of these sittings with Leslie Flint
40:57
so that you could actually hear the
40:59
voice of a spirit person. Imagine
41:02
a small group of people and they get to
41:04
talk to their deceased loved ones.
41:07
On this occasion, a woman by the name
41:09
of Jenny Wilson spoke with
41:11
the group. This recording
41:14
is just the tip of the iceberg. Go
41:16
to Leslie Flint dot
41:18
com where there are hundreds
41:20
of recordings. Here is Jenny Wilson,
41:23
who passed during childbirth,
41:25
talking about her experience and the
41:27
other side.
41:29
You uh spirits
41:33
true, Yes, that
41:37
you are still on the
41:41
earth.
41:43
I am a spirit
41:46
too, not on the
41:50
That's the only difference
41:53
they train you and me.
41:56
I am being here
41:59
a long time now. I
42:03
did not believe all
42:06
this when I was on
42:08
your side.
42:10
Now I know better. You
42:13
are spiritual is.
42:16
They called them and understate
42:20
you believe in communication.
42:24
That's why I'm here. Can
42:28
you give a Jenny said all about you. I
42:33
had my share of
42:36
travel. Now I
42:38
haven't got a care in
42:40
the world.
42:42
On the earth, Jenny, I
42:45
was brought up in
42:49
the country place
42:52
called small food, that
42:55
is right, small foot, we
42:58
called it.
42:59
I was one of a.
43:02
Family of eleven children,
43:05
and when we were quite small
43:07
children, we would have to be up
43:10
early in the morning and
43:13
go to work in the fields,
43:16
sometimes potato picking according
43:19
to the season, sometimes
43:21
stone picking, all sorts
43:23
of things to earn extra two coffers.
43:27
I married when I was
43:30
eighteen. My
43:33
husband worked on a farm.
43:37
Laborer, plowing,
43:40
hoing according to the
43:42
seasons. I
43:44
died in child's firths with
43:47
my first child. I
43:51
was out in the fields in
43:55
those days. We had to work
43:58
up to the very last. Now and
44:01
then you were lucky if you had a
44:03
doctor, usually a woman in
44:05
the religio or someone would help.
44:08
Both the baby
44:10
and me died in
44:12
a age. I have been
44:14
here many years now, Jady.
44:18
We went up together your baby.
44:20
Well, now did you bring your baby up in spirit?
44:22
Well? Yes, and I have
44:25
here now beside me my
44:27
daughter. And if you could see
44:30
us, we look like
44:32
each other. I don't
44:35
look any older, and
44:37
she has grown up to a
44:40
fine young woman.
44:41
Now my husband.
44:44
Married again, Yes,
44:46
and he is here, and
44:49
we are often together on
44:52
this side of life.
44:54
But we do not live together.
44:57
That we are together, you
44:59
understand, and I
45:01
find it very funny coming
45:04
to talk to you in this
45:07
way. I hope you
45:09
can hear what I say,
45:14
as you must be getting
45:17
on now for one hundred
45:20
years.
45:21
I suppose, Jenny, how do you bring
45:23
a baby up? And say? Well, like that different
45:26
from.
45:27
How do you do it?
45:32
Well?
45:34
Asa as I can tell you the
45:36
same as you would have done more
45:39
or less on earth, excepting
45:41
as sar as I can understand and my
45:44
own experience, you
45:47
don't have some sort of
45:50
material as you call.
45:51
It ways I
45:54
suppose to do.
45:56
Really, you have to realize that
45:59
it's the spirit with you out
46:01
bringing up and educating and
46:04
helping.
46:05
It's not the body. In the same way.
46:07
It looks much the same, and
46:10
it takes time. I suppose that
46:12
it would have done on Earth. One
46:15
is conscious, I suppose in a
46:17
way of time. In
46:20
my case is because I was
46:23
young and the child was
46:26
new, I was given the joy
46:29
of bringing the child up as if
46:31
it were almost the same.
46:33
As I pass.
46:35
Gradually watched he grow up and play
46:37
with other children of the same sort of age,
46:40
and gradually go to school and
46:43
learn various.
46:44
Things that were considered necessary.
46:47
You see and of.
46:49
Course I taught to little things, but
46:52
I realized that I had no education.
46:54
I couldn't read or write.
46:56
I'd never been to school in my life.
47:01
My daughter dances, and she
47:03
loves music, and she's a beautiful
47:06
dancer. Oh, she is really
47:08
beautiful. You should see her.
47:10
She's like what you call it a fairy
47:14
because over here, you see, they have great
47:16
processions and great and get togethers
47:19
or oh, I don't know what you call them
47:21
pageants or something like that, and
47:24
they have great sort of places where
47:26
you go and all sorts of beautiful
47:29
things happen, the music and
47:31
color and dancing, and
47:34
oh, it's very beautiful. And she plays
47:37
in sam Elisia ceremonies as
47:39
you call them, you see, and she is
47:42
really good.
47:43
You know.
47:43
I often wondered, you know, because I mean, I
47:46
knew I'd never have a chance to do anything
47:48
when I was on your side, because as
47:50
well, I've never been to what they call the theater
47:53
on your side. A
47:57
climatized as my beautiful
48:00
lady. I remember being under the age h
48:03
and I knew that I was
48:05
going to die. I don't know what I knew I
48:08
was. And some women were
48:10
two women actually friends of mine and one
48:12
and going running off to try and get out as
48:15
the one was there, and I
48:17
knew I was going to die. I knew,
48:19
I didn't know how I knew I knew I was It was
48:22
if this is I was twisted
48:24
and twisting away, and I could
48:26
hear the striend trying to help
48:29
the comfort, but court there's nothing
48:31
they could do after circumstances, and
48:33
I knew I was going to pass, as you call
48:36
it, And anyway, I remember
48:39
some of alution of myself and
48:41
didn't find it myself as funny, and
48:43
said, I don't know that I was standing
48:47
standing in the fields and I
48:51
left this baby in my arms, which
48:53
I had, I just didn't have to stand at a
48:55
two, and so I should be standing in the
48:58
middle of this field, and
49:00
all around me I could see my
49:03
art. It seemed a country, and
49:05
yet it was not the same countries
49:07
I've been used.
49:08
To, but different
49:11
or different.
49:13
There were trees, but I knew there weren't
49:15
real trees, and the country
49:17
side, though it wasn't real country side,
49:20
and I guess, sort of deep
49:23
down inside me felt lost, as
49:26
if I was in a dream. And I
49:28
had a feeling that I was in a kind of dream,
49:31
and that all these things
49:33
would disappear.
49:34
Then I realized that I.
49:36
Was in a strange sort of country, but
49:39
nothing I'd seen before, and yet it wasn't real.
49:42
And all of a sudden,
49:44
I sort of procession, whereas
49:46
thought I thought it was of people all
49:49
dressed in beautiful garments, coming
49:52
up a wise.
49:53
Sort of road.
49:55
I was told that I had arrived
49:58
and that all was well, there was
50:00
nothing to worry about anymore, that
50:03
this would be my home. I would
50:05
be looked after from the child, and
50:07
that this would be made up
50:09
to me from all the unhappiness I've
50:12
known, and that this would
50:14
be my future place in which
50:16
i'd gradually find a
50:19
new self.
50:20
That's the way they put it, a new self.
50:23
Just close your eyes and
50:26
lose yourself, just
50:29
pre quiet and of peace, and
50:32
when you come around later,
50:34
we'll tell.
50:35
You more about everything. But
50:37
this is not the right way.
50:38
I would just know that you've come home and
50:41
you're safe, and so it's the baby
50:43
and data we'll tell you more about it.
50:46
Oh, it was wonderful, and that
50:48
this was my reception,
50:52
they called it, and it all was
50:54
well, that wasn't to be unhappy
50:57
anymore, and that my child,
50:59
and I had been given new life
51:02
in the realms of happiness,
51:04
as they called it. Right, So they
51:06
said these things obviously that I
51:09
had understand them, that I've learned to love
51:11
more since much more are
51:14
much more.
51:15
But you did ask me a lot how
51:17
I came.
51:18
That I can't say it more
51:21
now, and I can
51:23
come again and tell you how
51:25
things have been.
51:26
Since started for my coming. That
51:29
I can't say that this
51:31
business is daying.
51:33
Well, that's nothing much to it,
51:36
really. I suppose it's natural.
51:39
We all fear it. Then on your.
51:41
Side that it's natural and
51:44
it's not a different.
51:46
Really in a way to being born.
51:48
Anyway, I'll come with I came
51:50
another time.
51:52
I must go by.
51:55
That was Jenny Wilson through
51:57
the direct voice mediumship of Leslie.
52:00
