 Stirling is quite the avant prep visualist always keeping it interesting with his enterprising ways (he has been a show and artist promoter, record store owner, ran various clubs like the infamous and perfectly named Liedernacht, and he even has a 45 called Money Marbles & Chalk) love of romantic poets like Keats, rabid interest in history ( he has a volume or two of history himself based on his encounters with Iggy Pop, Lou Reed and Divine and his various travels in Detroit and outside Detroit). Stirling along with Small's Bar and Ricky Rat are hosting a benefit to aid Sylvain Sylvain who is battling cancer and who is a songwriter and is an original longtime member of The New York Dolls. The benefit is at Small's Bar on August 24th and starts at 8pm and hosts a raucous selection of Detroit bands like Demolition Dollrods, The Trashbrats and many others.
