wrongful intention, especially as increasing the guilt of certain offenses.

There are a handful of phrases in business that I absolutely despise.  Community over Competition is one of them.  Life is full of competition.  It's how you use that competition to propel you and your business forward or hold you back and allow it to scare you into a corner because you're too afraid to step out of the box and do things the way only you can do them.  

The difference between using competition in a way to empower you vs using it in ways that create malice and comfortability in the community you live and work in are two very different things.  I will always encourage you to be in constant competition with yourself and yes, sometimes you'll be in competition with others and their businesses, but you can control the outcome and how competition makes you feel at the end of the day.
