The Expectations Thing

EXPECTATIONS ARE LIMITATIONS!!!!Whatever you expect to happen, could never be everything that could possibly happen. Today we are talking on expectations. What does that mean? What expectations are you putting on yourself, or on your life, or on the people around you? Are you living your life based on other people’s expectations of you? Expectations are very different than standards. Expectations are external limits, standards are based on an internal compass. When you are holding onto expectations of other people or living based on other people’s expectations you are holding up space at your table for others to sit down. You are limiting the experience you could have with others by letting expectations rule your table. When you continue to let someone treat you a certain way because you think its expected of you to continue the relationship you are dropping your standards to uphold their expectations, instead of upholding your standards, and dropping their expectations.
