I love the way this show builds up tension with a clever use of music and ambience. It reminds me of the show Unplaced, which I also love.
The acting is amazing and makes the characters believable and relatable. Come for the murder mystery, stay for the dive in to a quarantined woman´s fight and a corrupt cop trying to do the right thing and totally failing at it
All the actors are good, but the moment Joe Sanfelippo shows up playing Rex, a corrupt cop wrestling with his drug habit, his crumbling marriage, and his sense of moral duty, it's like the show adds gasoline to fire. The way his voice chokes up when he bargains with his wife and kid, or the way he insistently tells himself he's a good man when he doesn't even believe it. Chef's kiss, bravo, amazing performance!
