Our podcast guest this week is Menachem Brodie, the National Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Israel National Track Cycling Team. He has his own consultancy business, Human Vortex Training, and has also written two books, Strength Training for Cycling Performance, and Lift Heavy Shit (links for both are below). We've heard from numerous swim and run coaches recently about how technique can make a real difference to performance in their respective disciplines. Now it’s time to adjust the balance and hear from someone who specialises in helping cyclists to get stronger . . not on the road, but in the gym.You may wonder if there's actually a direct correlation between how strong you are and how fast you can ride, but once you've heard from Menachem I think you’ll appreciate how some subtle changes to your gym work will help you be a better cyclist.
