The American College of Sports Medicine recently came out with a study that shows that 35% or more of the elite professional and college athletes around the world are struggling with depression, eating disorders, anxiety, ADHD, sleep issues, relationship issues and so much more.

As a sport psychology coach for over 40 years, David Essel believes that the number of professional athletes affected by mental health and other issues is probably closer to 60%.
