Welcome to Episode 4 of Slightly Evolved! Our guest is Dr Joona Lehtomäki, a postdoctoral researcher in the Environmental Geography research group at VU Amsterdam. This week we are at the science policy interface. We talk to Joona about how he has helped develop software to identify conservation priority areas. We also discuss where the large amount of data needed to do this comes from and the importance of open data for addressing current conservation challenges. As always you can contact us via email ([email protected]), Twitter (twitter.com/slightlyevolpod) or join our Facebook group. You can find Joona on Twitter (twitter.com/jlehtoma)and read more about his research here (http://www.environmentalgeography.nl/site/staff/joona-lehtomaki/).
