Celebration Florida lives close to Disney World and with good reason. The town with a current population of 7,427 was started being developed in 1996 by The Walt Disney Company itself. It is not some Disney themed town, in fact, Disney is now mostly “hands-off”. But in 2000 and 2001 a man named calling himself John Titor started posting from this small town in Florida. John claimed to be a time traveler from the year 2036 sent back with a very important mission to save his world line.’’WikiPedia article about Celebration, FloridaWikiPedia article about John Titortimetravel.institute/topic/830-topics-limited-to-11-pages/YouTube video (XbwH8r4VD8w)YouTube video (WfSqg3KsIgM)youtu.be/YJYFlI4ytbUYouTube video (WfSqg3KsIgM)johntitorfoundation.comjohntitor.comstitcher.com/podcast/project-archivist-project-archivist-podcast/e/50956440?autoplay=trueWho Authored the John Titor Legend?, by Mike Sauve Self Published ( © 2016). amazon.com/gp/product/1537400835/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Conviction of a Time Traveler, by Temporal Recon (Anonymous) Self Published ( © 2010) amazon.com/Conviction-Time-Traveler-Temporal-Recon-ebook/dp/B00QZLSO0G/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1598071499&sr=8-1Ong’s Hat WAS a place set deep in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey.  The 17th-century town was more of an outpost with just a few buildings.  It was known as a rowdy place.  The town got its name from a man named Jacob Ong who after a fight with a woman threw his beloved hat up in the air.  It become stuck in a tree and he never retrieved it.  But Ong’s Hat may have served a different purpose in more modern times, it may have been a place where fringe scientists and cultist gathered to travel into other dimensions.gizmodo.com/ongs-hat-the-early-internet-conspiracy-game-that-got-t-1832229488 ia800906.us.archive.org/3/items/incunabula_originals/original.pdf archive.org/details/incunabula_originals/page/n1/mode/2up weirdnj.com/stories/ongs-hat/ jacobsm.com/deoxy/deoxy.org/inc.htm Ong’s Hat: The Beginning, by Joseph Matheny Wildcard ( © 1999, 2001) amazon.com/Ongs-Hat-Beginning-Joseph-Matheny-ebook/dp/B004SHEX9K/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1598071090&sr=8-1You can follow the show on Twitter or Facebook @stscast, or on Instagram@stscast.gramCheck out Patreon at, https://www.patreon.com/STScastThis week's featured podcast is Oddball Aussie Be sure to check out Straight Up Strange Productions for more great pods! In 1903 a road was constructed from nearby Loveland up to Estes Park. With the help of Freelan Oscar (F.O.) Stanley, Stanley Steamers the town was able to modernize very quickly. In 1909 Mr. Stanley would build the now famed Stanley Hotel. A hotel that now has the reputation of being one of the most haunted hotels in the country. Just ask Stephen King.WikiPedia article about Estes Park, ColoradoWikiPedia article about The Stanley Hotelnewspapers.com/image/588216652/?terms=Stanley+Hotel+Gas+explosionroadtrippers.com/magazine/stanley-hotel-hauntings/stephenking.com/library/novel/shining_the_inspiration.htmltripsavvy.com/the-haunted-stanley-hotel-4108817myhauntedlibrary.com/2017/04/29/the-haunted-stanley-hotel-a-ghostly-tour-and-a-night-in-room-418/weekinweird.com/2015/08/19/spirits-of-the-stanley-hotel-ghost-of-lucy-photographed-at-haunted-hotel-that-inspired-the-shining/Spirits of the StanleyLocated where the deserts of the west end and hte lush forest of the east begins lies Austin Texas. After Texas won its independence from Mexico it shortly became its own country. The vice president of Texas Mirabeau Lamar requested that the capital city was changed form Houston to what was then called Waterloo. Waterloo lay on a crossroads with better trade routes. Waterloo’s name was changed to Austin after the “Father of Texas” Stephen F. Amityville is a actually a small village that is part of Babylon New York. According to legend when the settlers wanted to establish a post office they needed a name. A meeting of the town name became heated with someone yelling out, “What this meeting needs is some amity!”. It would seem that Amityville started with a hint of bedlam, something that would carry on. Years later Ronald Defoe would murder his entire family under mysterious circumstances. However, that’s just the beginning of the Amityville Haunting. When you start to look at the Mothman case you very quickly start to understand that it’s not about a strange cryptid prowling around a West Virgina town at night. It’s more like a phenomenon that engrossed a whole year of high strangeness. No one probably understood this better then John Keel and Mary Hyre. The Mothman Prophecies, Joh A.
