We jump right in this week to our interview with Use Our Voice founder and activist Chessa Manion, the force behind the global Memorial on Memorial protests which took place in April. Chessa is a survivor of child sexual abuse within the Jehovah's Witness cult, which was covered up by the clergy (called 'elders'). She now works as an activist, pursuing legislation to prevent such atrocities from continuing to happen, and shedding light on the heinous policies of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.
We also discuss our #JulyPSA, and call for submissions from other survivors of CSA within the Jehovah's Witness cult. Del is still getting the hang of audio editing, so apologies for the occasional ear-splitting screech from her end, and for the lack of an intro or theme song this week. As always, thank you so much for listening and sharing!
