State of our Community was started in 2013 by Chris Poynter and Trent Ogilvie with a dream to make a difference in their community. SOC focuses on visioning, strategizing, organizing, and mobilizing to create change in our community. SOC focuses on three interconnected and systemic areas that affect persons in profound ways: Education, Economics, and Empowerment. Through research, dialogue, and strategic planning, we endeavor to make an impact by turning dreams into realities by pursuing greatness.
