This is a solo episode featuring yours truly. This is for anyone who's new to the podcast to get an idea of what it is and why we're doing it along with what to expect going forward. Short version:
- This started out as me proving a point to people who contemplated suicide upon diagnosis that herpes isn't that bad
- The guests have turned this into such a useful tool by sharing their stories and being relatable to so many others
- The sound quality can be better, and will be better with time, experience and a producer
- Episodes will be limited to 25 minutes to 35 minutes each, if we go over, there will be part one and part two
- Introducing solo episodes to post outside the 1x per month at the beginning of each month
- Podcast has evolved to covering all stds and sharing every story out there from willing participants
- The goal is now to make negative people more understanding and positive people more accepting of themselves
- Thank yous to the guests and listeners for sharing their stories, writing in, and rating/reviewing the podcast
- We want this tool to be accessable to newly diagnosed people and an experience based tool to guide others through their diagnosis/experience with their std
Thank you all for an amazing 2017. 2018 is only going to make this a much more useful tool.
