More Info About the Guest, Topics and/or Podcast:
West Elmwood Housing Development Corporation started in 1970 as a source of affordable housing and has evolved over the years into community development. Housing is more than just four walls and a roof. West Elmwood HDC addresses the physical housing needs as well as the environmental wellness, health, and social needs of the people it serves. A more recent offshoot of this is the Sankofa World Market. The Sankofa World Market has had two successful seasons where the community has access not only to ethnically relevant fresh foods but local artisans and resources.
