Today, we welcome Faith Perry, an avid reader and former nutritionalist and chef who grew up in Brooklyn, New York. She faced racial discrimination throughout her life and speaks today on her experience growing up in New York school systems, the trips to visit family in North Carolina during the Jim Crow era, her interactions with the police, and ways that youth and everyday people can combat racial inequality in her community.
