As someone who loves creepy stories and grew up in the South, Southern Oddities hit a lot of notes that I dig. While it does focus on the macabre, the variety of stories are all across the house and range from anything from urban legend to interesting stories. Great podcast focusing on the creepy south! Love these stories, most of which I have not heard yet and I really like the quick bite format .

I was trying to find some information on another topic and stumbled onto the Cocaine Bear episode. Intrigued :) Then I listened and haven't stopped. Each episode goes into a piece of lore or history about America's South - which as a New Englander, is a piece of the country I'm woefully uneducated about. Jared weaves these stories from the heart and it's clear that he loves learning about these stories as much as he loves telling them. I've subscribed and have enjoyed every episode fully and can't wait for the next one.
