On this week's episode of Southern Live Gumbo, we discuss the newly adorned federal holiday of Juneteenth and what it is. We also discuss the NBA, the new normal for vacations and vaccinations and Father's Day also known as the day the man get's the big piece of chicken and show love to all the father's out there, by blood or actions, who are stalwarts in their families. As well as what these days of reverence for mother's and father's feel like to people who want children and haven't been able to have them. 

Lastly we discuss the emotion of the day, Love and specifically the manifestation of it on the show Love After Lockup. We discuss the emotional connection of love and how it might be easier to find someone when vulnerability is forced, versus when we have the choice to be honest with the people we yearn to care about.
