When the game’s over, and the fans have filed out of the stadium, Ray Woodson takes the mic as the host of KNBR’s SportsPhone 680. Passionate about sports, “Woody” has that special ability to calm the masses when the Giants, Warriors or 49ers lose a close one, while at the same time, reminding his listeners they can’t plan for a championship parade following a close win early in the season. Ray knows from experiences that it’s a long season and people have to be patient. Nighttime shows are where opinions start to fly. Woody lets the callers express their thoughts on KNBR and its 50,000 watt signal which at night, reaches from Oregon to Arizona. When not in the studio, you might find Woody out on the golf course. He claims to have a 4 handicap, but we’ve never seen him play in one our station events.
