Be gathered together under God's wings despite our differences, fear, etc.
During this Lenten Season, we look further into quieting ourselves in front of God by looking at the call to sit at the table of God and be in his presence
At your most vulnerable, Satan will tempt you. Believe and trust that God will protect you.
During this Lent season, we are challenged to slow down and make room for Christ in our busy lives
When Jesus came to us the veil was removed between us and God. We could be completely open to Him.
We need to love others with agape love like Jesus. Our love for others needs to be self sacrificial, and we need to not expect anything in return.
The setting of the gospel for today makes us reevaluate our biases. We need to set those biases aside and see others as Jesus sees everyone.
Why do resist suggestions? There are many reasons why that include unfamiliarity, cost, and the amount of effort. When it comes to our response to Jesus's miracles and invitation, we should respond with obedience, humility, and commitment.
Jesus disrupted the Jews when he started his ministry. The Jews struggled with their misconceptions, ignorance, and their pride. Jesus taught us that God is bigger than our disruptions and can lead us through them.
All Scripture is God breathed. The Word is designed to connect us. The Bible is unique...1) read it again and again, 2) more you know about context more Word lives in us, 3) as you hear story - it's meaning, impact can change 4) preached to b
"How can you make a difference. We have been claimed and affirmed by God. Claimed through baptism and breathe for each day. Affirmed through scripture, friends and answered prayer. Because we are God's beloved.
Who do you follow? May be for guidance, a mentor, a celebrity. Need to follow Jesus. How He leads us. Trust, compassion, stability and hope. He does not make us follow Him. He allows us to make the decision to follow Him.

In tonight's sermon, we hear about the meanings behind the Colors of Christmas: Red, Blue, White, Green and Gold. Gold being the star that leads of to Christ!

We draw lines because we are uncomfortable, insecure, and pride full. Doing that we miss out on God's call. Jesus wants us to draw arrows away from ourselves so we don't miss out on the call from God.
Jesus promises that he will be with us when we grieve. He brings comfort, compassion, healing, and hope to our grief.
No matter what is going on in our lives or in the world, God is at the center of our lives.
Sometimes it is a problem to wish to change your circumstances. It is ok to pray for desires, but there are pitfalls and consequences. 1) Dissatisfaction 2) Difficult to be grateful 3) Don't understand the implications. What we need to do is
Jesus is now the great high priest that we go to for atonement, intersession and approaches God for us.
In Old Testament God spoke through the prophets. In New Testament God speaks through Jesus. Though cultures different, and the way of communication is different, God still speaks to us.
When you have problems, God will help out. He will put people in your lives to help you.
