Before his father's initial cancer diagnosis in 2015 and the subsequent three cancer diagnoses, Po Chen worked as the head of the IT security division at Morgan Stanley Financial in the US. He learned that his father's treatment plan was difficult and that he would need to undergo chemotherapy and repeatedly try various pharmaceutical injections for each ailment when he went with him to the hospital. Po Chen decided to leave his job in the US to enter the field of biomedical innovation, embarking on an entrepreneurial journey in Taiwan to improve cancer care.
