Meandering story that mixes personal reflection with the story of Matthew MaGill, but the host never really gave me any reason to care about or connect with the characters.

Stay away from this podcast. It's about some random guy who died and changed his name a few times but really did nothing earth shattering to deserve a podcast. It's also about the podcasters family drama (I like to call it millennial American drama). He feels the need to talk about him being estranged from his parents and some rift between him and his sister, which has nothing to do about the story. His father was cold to him, but I think the issue is he didn't grow up rich. He better make a better podcast if he wants to be rich. Horrible.

I binged it so quickly. I loved the interesting history woven in with the host's own healing. Well done!

This is an intriguing and enjoyable story (or set of stories) to listen to, nicely combining investigation and personal reflection.

Starts so promisingly, with deft production and strong writing. But goes nowhere - the MaGill character disintegrates, and the host's personal ruminations feel self-indulgent and contrived. Leaves you feeling cheated
