In Episode 2 of the Steep Stairs Podcast, we hear from students and staff about what Scriber means to them and talk about the tough subjects of addiction, turning points, and recovery.

Steep Stairs Podcast is a Scriber Lake High School English class collaboration with community organization Foundry 10. The podcast is an extension of Scriber’s publishing company, Steep Stairs Press. The story featured in this episode, “Room 256” by Dominic Severich, is included in Scriber’s 8th collection of personal narratives, This Smile is for Everyone Else (spring 2021). Steep Stairs Press was founded by English teacher Marjie Bowker in 2011.
