Tonight's special guests will be Victoria Kelly from Minnesota and AmyAnna Soto from California. They are sponsoring a first annual event on Saturday, Oct 29th, on the topic 'Domestic Violence Affects Kids, Too'. It will point to how children are traumatized by growing up in such a family environment. The physical portion of the event will be in Minneapolis, in person, and the event will be available virtually via ZOOM. This FREE Event is open to everyone. "The grassroots organization 'A Helping Hand for Healing Souls' (AHHHS), which I founded, is sponsoring this event!," Victoria says. "Sharing this with your social media connections may help someone know they are not alone as I once was." The event Starts at 1:00 pm CEN. with speakers every half hour, beginning with Opening comments and Victoria's Story. There will be presentations on Missing Children, the Twin Cities Men's Center, and the National Association of Adult Survivors of Child Abuse. Carrissa Daniels will appear as a Special Guest Speaker. At 4:30 an Open Mic Session begins with AmyAnna, followed by a 5:00pm Candlelight Vigil. All afternoon there will be a Silent Auction, a Clothesline Project Display, Resource Tables with AHHHS Buttons & Stickers for sale. Purple, Blue & Black Ribbon pins will be handed out. Purple is for Domestic Violence, Blue is for Child Abuse and Black is for those who died, either at the hands of their abusers or other issues resulting from their abuse.
