Like most things, storytelling fails when it isn't planned and doesn't have any consistent form or structure. 

And one of the biggest failures when it comes to not having a defined structure, is that a story can ramble on and get further and further from the intended point or learning, and become increasingly inefficient and ineffective. 

Using a defined and consistent structure - even something as simple as 'how it was, how it changed, how it is now' - can ensure that storytelling is persuasive instead of confusing. 

In this episode, I talk about this structure, as well as the use of story arcs to keep the flow of a story going, and make sure that nothing is left out of a story, and that nobody who should be included in the story, is excluded.
