The story of Gideon in Judges 7 shows how God uses the weak, the helpless, and the useless to achieve his purposes on Earth. This is epitomized in Jesus living a humble life and dying a wretched death on a cross. Why does God choose to operate this way? Because then HE and ONLY he gets glory. We are only his vessels. In our weakness, he is made strong.
