Welcome to this week’s SuccessNett episode, today we look at the teams that I predict will finish in the Top 4 after the round robin matches and 2 things from each of those teams that differentiates them from the rest of the competition.

And here is our Top 4 for this year’s tournament:
England
Australia
India
And in fourth place we have two teams tied with the same odds - South Africa and New Zealand. And due to my bias, I am opting to go for South Africa as our 4th team today.

England’s selectors also made some bold calls in the selection of the squad, leaving some top performing players out of the squad due to previous disciplinary issues. The reasoning is, England want to win, and to win they cannot afford side distractions and not being 100% focused on the tournament. This is a very positive move in my opinion. How distracted are you in your business? What is distracting you?

The 2nd favourites for this year’s tournament is Australia - 5 time winners. That says it all really. Australia is the dominant force in international cricket tournaments and has the required BMT to win. Irrespective of controversies, the team has bounced back and is building to something incredible once again. And maybe that is what we should consider in our organisations. How easily do we bounce back from setbacks?

Next up we are going to look at India! If India gets going, there will be no stopping them. Here I am referring to the best opening pair in world cricket at the moment - Rohit and Dhawan.  What is your business built on? What is core to your success. Spend some time to think and talk about the foundations of your business?

Our final team today is from South Africa.  The key to South Africa winning this year’s world cup is to stay calm under pressure and utilise their strength in depth. In previous years, the team has far too often struggled to adapt when placed under pressure. If each person within the team fulfils their function to the best of their ability on the day - South Africa can beat any team on the day. What is the depth in your business?
