Garry Abbott // In the Book of Acts, we see different expressions of the church in their earliest forms. We also see how these expressions looked surprising to those around them in their time. These expressions were often made up of people who were naturally divided in every way united in community by the grace of God. And the world took notice of this—the evidence of the grace of God. Those who turned to the Lord accepted the invitation to be part of God’s kingdom because of his grace and because they saw themselves in the community of people united by that same grace. And this grace is evident when the Church looks out to care for the needs of others even in the midst of disruption and uncertainty.
