“Star Trek: Lower Decks” is a totally FUN animated sci-fi comedy series set in the Star Trek universe!  Yes, you read that correctly!  Listen as we breakdown the first episode “Second Contact”.  Hear about the controversy the series has caused among Star Trek fans and our opinions about the whole enchilada.  Of course we’re both going to give our countdown of the “Top 3 Most Fun Moments”, so we can compare and contrast.

A storyline in the show leads both podcast hosts to talk about our “worst dates ever”, and one of them is pretty wild!  Our discussion of “Lower Decks” also leads us to talk about the “CalArts animation style”, the merits of watching “Rick & Morty”, how “Community” is the center of the universe, the Kelvin timeline versus the original timeline, the value of comedy in 2020, Eugene Cordero in “Tacoma FD”, and much more.

Take a trip down to the bottom of the turbolift as we breakdown the most FUN scenes, characters, themes, music, and merch from “Star Trek: Lower Decks” Season 1 Episode 1.  You are formally invited to attend this Super Sci-Fi Party!
