He is also a visiting Professor at King’s College London, a Board member of UKRI, as well as being on the board at Surrey Satellites and the Biotech Growth Trust. He served as the MP for Havant from 1992-2015, and as Minister for Universities and Science from 2010 to 2014, when Catapults were introduced.
