Jambvanti was the daughter of Jambwan, who was a general in Shriram’s army in battle against Ravan. During the search of Syamantak gem Shrikrishna and Jambwan got into a duel, which lasted many days.

 In the end Jambwan realised that Shrikrishna was an incarnation of his beloved Shriram and sought forgiveness.
