When we sold everything, house, cars, Funko Pops and vinyl records, we didn’t know what to expect. But it wasn’t this.

Maybe we’d watched too much House Hunters, or read too many Eat pray love imitations, but we thought that the hard part was behind us: the selling, the packing, the crush of leaving our dogs at a Miami loading dock.

We thought that finding a house would be the easy part. That the biggest decision we we going to have to make was to choose which part of paradise we wanted to call home. How wrong we were. 

This is the story of too many rentals, and even more mosquito bites. Of having unforgettable experiences, and the constant struggle to find our place in a foreign country. This is Sweet Gringo Blood.
