James Schramko has achieved what startup online business owners dream of.

After 30 years in the game, he’s established a multi-million dollar online empire, mastered the art of leverage and now his businesses work for him.

As members of James Schramko’s SuperFast business community forum, we know firsthand this is the man to listen to if you’re looking to grow an online business.

Here’s a quick overview of what we cover in this Episode:

Content

To be successful in your online marketing efforts, you need to create content that is of value to your audience.

SuperFastBusiness publishes some of the best audio content via podcast on the web hands down. This is because the content James puts out is always to the point, relevant to his audience and highly practical.

“I would say that the entire time I’ve been online, I’ve never been one of those pushy-

smarmy-telling type marketers and more about problem-solving and trying to get the relevant

person listening to what I’ve got to say and showing them how they could be better off if they

want to move forward to the next step.”

Audio as a medium- We ask James how much time goes into creating the level of audio content he produces each week, is it sustainable and is it something that’s continuing to grow?

His response, in short: I think it’s here to stay, I think that it’s really easy to do as a publisher, I much prefer to create an audio than to type or to make a video where you need more production values.

Software As A Service (SAAS)-  James isn’t tied to a physical office address and there is no reason for him to spend countless hours behind a desk. Why?

He has utilised SAAS in the business and as a result he can work from mobile phone, anywhere there is an internet connection.

Here are a couple of the tools he mentions that have helped him achieve this:

Slack  This is a messaging app for your work teams. We use Slack at Otium Group to remove internal communication between staff from their email inboxes. Teams can chat in real-time through a specialised channel, instead of emails clogging up their inboxes and workflow throughout the day.

“I think email is the single biggest killer productivity for business people,” James said.

Go to Meeting & Go to Webinar These tool allows you to connect via video conference and collaborate with your team or clients from anywhere in the world via tablet or computer.

“I can have a little meeting with my managers, virtual team meeting of seven or eight people and

every day they get the entire team on there for 15 minute huddle and I think that really opens up

the world… I can have my business across all borders, it doesn’t have to be a physical meet up anymore. That’s a very strong tool,” James explains.

What to Expect at SuperFast Business Live 2016

This annual event is where the SuperFast Business community and forum come together to hear the best in the online marketing world share great content.

This event is the perfect example of the value in creating and engaging in an online community.

Through his online forum, James is able to directly ask and find out exactly what his clients want to know and deliver content.

“I do spend a lot of time in my own forum, because I’m answering a lot of questions and getting asked things all the time, I feel like I can never stray too far away from what people really need right now. I curate the best topics and ideas around what people need and put them all on that platform over a few days and I ask the speakers, ‘you know, can you just cut the whole part about your backstory because we don’t care and cut the whole sales pitch to the back of the room because we’re not buying. Just give us the content.”
