Antoinette Oglethorpe talks to Michelle Blieberg of Time Warner about creating talent development programmes that are designed for the needs of the business

One of the biggest challenges facing organisations is increasing bench strength so there is a pipeline of leaders ready to assume critical roles.  In this interview, Michelle Blieberg talks about her experience of developing talent for organisational results by linking leadership development to business strategy and creating integrated leadership development programmes.

I must apologise that the quality of the audio is not higher. This was due to the interview being held while Michelle was on a car phone in New York while I was in the UK.  But she has such great insights to share I wanted to use the interview anyway.

Talent Development for Organisational Results

Michelle Blieberg is a Senior Vice President of Time Warner, heading up Corporate HR and Global Organisation and Leadership Development.  She is responsible for Executive Development, Talent Management, Succession Planning and Change Management.

Formerly, Michelle was the Global Leadership and Talent Development Officer, and Head of the Business University for the Americas at UBS.  She created a full range of leadership, management and talent development strategies and initiatives for UBS globally from 2004 to 2011.  Many of the programmes were recognised with external awards.

Prior organisations included Moody’s KMV, Charles Schwab & Co, Citi and JP Morgan
