In this episode I sat down with people from my church to discuss the murder of George Floyd. Like many of you I could not even bare to watch the 8 minute and 46 second video graphically detailing the unjust murder of an unarmed black man at the hands of a police officer while the other 3 officers stood by and watched. As a black man myself you know I would not remain silent on this issue and I had my fair share of conversations in the past few weeks. I fell like it is important to share with you this discussion I recorded on my phone because I feel like the details of this conversation would be beneficial to most. We discuss the historical implications of how we ended in a society with unconscious biases towards black people, the systematic oppression of black people particularity in North America, and where we are in human history.
