This is a very special episode. Both because I diverge from my usual format and because of the incredible guest whose wisdom you get to experience. Her name is Lisa Kalmin and she is among the elite in the world of Transformational Leadership. In this wide ranging conversation, Lisa shares how she came to the world of Transformational Leadership, and why a specific part of the process is so meaningful to and for her. This conversation, recorded on the day of the Winter Solstice in 2023, is evergreen in its relevance. Below is a bit more about Lisa with links to her website, Instagram, Facebook Page, LinkedIn profile and - most importantly - to her book.

Lisa Kalmin is a transformational trainer, coach and author. She is a mindset coach, speaker, corporate trainer and at the age of 51 became the mother of twin boys! Lisa is the principal and founder of WorldWorks Trainings, a premier coaching and training company dedicated to personal growth and transformational workshops. From 2000 to 2016, WorldWorks Leadership teams have raised over $2.4 million for Southern California Charities.

Lisa is also the Co-Founder of Inspire Coaching and iNSPIRE BUSINESS SUCCESS , Corporate Leadership Training with Lynne Sheridan.

Lisa is a founding member of The Association of Transformational Leaders and a member of the Transformational Leadership Council, a premier organization founded by renowned author Jack Canfield. Lisa has a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio-TV-Film from the University of Texas in Austin, as well as an MBA from the same university. Lisa makes her home in Costa Mesa, California with her twins, Aidan and Levi and pups, Chester and Cooper.

In a world where what passes for radical honesty usually means someone is just letting things fly outta their pie-hole without much care for others, it’s time for radically authentic conversation. Conscious communication is simple, but often isn’t easy. That’s why Cathy Brooks created Talk, Unleashed – a weekly podcast of radically honest conversation about — everything. Whether her own musings or in conversation with industry leaders, each episode invites curiosity.

Curiosity not about what people do, but why they do it. Who they are and what makes them tick. It’s about digging underneath to reveal the thing that is most true - that we are more alike than we are not. A mix of solo episodes where Cathy shares her insights and experience or Cathy engaged in conversation with fascinating humans doing amazing things. No matter the format - it’s unvarnished, radically honest and entirely unleashed.

This podcast compliments Unleashed Leadership, the coaching business through which Cathy works with symphony orchestras, corporate clients, and individuals to help them unleash and untether their leadership and connect with others in a way that truly engages.
