My upbringing was a little … unusual.
You might say that I had the best of both worlds. My mother, for as long as I can remember, has been interested in spirituality. Her curious, open mind led her to explore a number of different types of spirituality, and she would always share with me the most valuable pieces of wisdom that she gleaned from each. My father? He was a scientist. From him, I learned about the fascinating (and, admittedly weird) world of quantum physics.
Believe me, I enjoyed some very interesting conversations growing up!
One thing that’s always amazed me is how often quantum physics actually supports the teachings of ancient spiritualities -- it seems as though those ancient leaders were onto something after all! One of my favorite texts is the Tao Te Ching, and I consider it an important influence on the way that I live my own life. In particular, I’ve adopted the four virtues that the book advises us to live by.
I have to tell you, since I started living by these four virtues, I’ve felt more grounded, more at peace, and more in tune with the world and with the people in my life. They’ve improved not only my personal life, but they’ve helped me to thrive professionally as well!
