If you've ever been bullied before, especially as a child, then you know how drastically it can affect your self esteem. But maybe you've never realized how much it can shape your life path and your relationship to success!
Like many other children, I dealt with pretty severe bullying. In addition to destroying my sense of self worth, it also inspired another personality trait of mine – I became driven. Driven to achieve success, to accumulate wealth, to prove to my bullies (and to myself), that I wasn't the loser that they thought I was. But one thing that I've noticed over a lifetime of striving is that the feeling of fulfillment after reaching yet another competitive goal ... is actually pretty fleeting. Pretty soon, I'd be out chasing another goal, hoping that once I reached that one, I'd finally feel satisfied and happy.
As you can probably guess, it never worked and the cycle would just begin again.
I started to wonder – what was I doing wrong? How could I live a life with purpose, meaning, and fulfillment? Eventually, I did figure out the answer. Now I want to share my insights with you!
