The Weavers were a family who wanted to live off the land away from what they saw as a corrupt government. They wanted to be away form the public schools and the local churches and agencies who were making the rules.  Alone on the mountain top the only social activities happen to be picnics organized by the Aryon Nations who had a compound not far from the Weaver's cabin.  One bad decision on Randy's part threw his whole world upside down. Many lives were changed that day.
