A peek into our conversation:
When you're young, spot problems you want to try solve, put your head down, and try figure them out. Through that, you learn that anything is possible. If you put enough time, effort and determination in, it can be done.
To grow, you need to be willing to put up your hand and say you don't know something and ask for someone to show you. Trying to solve problems yourself can be good, but speak up sooner rather than later if you're struggling.
Work towards competence and independence by not asking for someone to fix something for you, but rather asking them if they'd sit with you and show you how they fix it.
